DRUG INHALER AND COUNTER MECHANISM
[Problem] To provide a drug inhaler equipped with a counter mechanism having a simple and compact configuration. [Solution] In this inhaler 100, a mount is gradually peeled off one or a plurality of blister strips in coordination with the operation of a blister opening means, and an amount of a powdered drug corresponding to a single dose is sequentially fed to a space enabling inhalation through an inhalation port 41. The inhaler 100 has a counter mechanism for presenting the remaining number of the drug that is individually packaged by the blister strip in coordination with the operation of the blister opening means. The counter mechanism includes: a counter dial 50 in which a spiral-shaped rack gear 52a is formed on the reverse surface side, and information indicating the remaining number of the drug is displayed so as to be arranged in a spiral shape along the rack gear 52a on the obverse surface side; and a pinion gear 60 that fits with the rack gear 52a and that rotates in a given direction in coordination with the operation of the blister opening means.
Event status apparatuses and related devices, systems, and methods
Provided herein are new devices for indicating the status of events, such as the number of relevant events that are remaining and/or that have already occurred up to the present moment and to related devices, systems, and methods. In some aspects, the event-related indicator devices of the invention are used within larger dispensing devices or systems, e.g., to provide the status of administration of a substance contained therein (e.g., a drug). In an exemplary embodiment, the indicator devices find particular utility within medicament dispensers, such as metered dose inhalers, to provide a visual indication of the status of doses having been or remaining to be administered.
Counter
A counter containing a first ring member having first indicia and a second ring member having second indicia, each of the first and second ring members being rotatable in increments about a common axis, one or both of the first and second indicia indicating a count; and a drive mechanism for rotating the first ring member and for rotating the second ring member after one or more predetermined degrees of rotation of the first ring member, wherein the drive mechanism contains a pawl-and-teeth mechanism which contains a first and second pawl engageable with a plurality of teeth, and wherein each of the first and second pawls contains a driving engagement face for engaging in a driving engagement with one of the plurality of teeth, and a sliding engagement face for sliding over one of the plurality of teeth.
Dose counter and dispensing apparatus
The present invention provides dose counter for displaying a count indication of the number or quantity of doses dispensed from or remaining in a container associated, in use, with the dose counter, comprising an indicator member comprising dose indicia and a priming indicator for prompting a user to carry out one or more priming actuations of the container. The priming indicator is initially arranged to at least partially overly the indicator member to thereby at least partially obscure viewing of the dose indicia of the indicator member until the one or more priming actuations of the container have been completed. The priming indicator is movable after the one or more priming actuations have been completed into a disposition where it no longer obscures viewing of the dose indicia of the indicator member. The invention also provides a dispensing apparatus comprising the dose counter.
DOSE COUNTER FOR A DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A FLUID OR POWDER PRODUCT
A counter having an actuating element (20) and a counting element (30) with toothing (32), the actuating element axially movable along an axis (X) between a rest position and an actuation position, the counting element mounted to rotate on an axis perpendicular to the axis (X). The actuating element has a first flexible tab (21) engaging the toothing to rotate the counting element in a counting direction when the actuating element moves into its actuation position, and a second flexible tab (22) engaging the toothing to rotate the counting element in the counting direction when the actuation element returns to its rest position. The first and second flexible tabs are resiliently biased radially inward into contact with the first toothing. The counter has a stop element (19) which engages the second flexible tab limiting radially inward movement thereof when the actuating element moves into and out of its actuation position.
MANIPULATOR ASSISTING DEVICE AND MANIPULATOR SYSTEM
A manipulator assisting device includes a manipulator assisting device main body connectable to a proximal end portion of a manipulator with the proximal end portion attachable to and detachable from a medical device, the manipulator having a driven gear that engages with a gear in the medical device when connected to the medical device, and an end effector that operates by a power transmitted from the driven gear. The manipulator assisting device main body includes an assisting gear that engages with the driven gear when the manipulator assisting device main body is connected to the manipulator, a handle that transmits a drive force to the assisting gear, and a main body portion attached to the assisting gear and the handle.
Rotational magnetic set counter with an elastic radial double cam mechanism
A magnetic rotational set counter. The magnetic rotational set counter includes a front plate connected to a back plate. In between the front plate and the back plate, there is a number disk having a magnet inserted in a central cavity of the number disk. A ticker is included which has an elongated arm and an end piece. A display window is integrated into a front of the front plate. The number disk has an array of chronologically ordered numbers. A single number is shown from the display window of the front plate when the user turns the bottom portion of the number disk, which protrudes from an access window between the front plate and the back plate. The number disk is configured to rotate in a single direction in a forward direction. The ticker and number disk are configured to prevent miscounting.
