The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for communicating between devices using short-range communication links. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for communicating access-right data between devices for verification or transfer.

Improving automated package delivery to mobile delivery receptacles to allow accurate and reliable package deliveries comprises a delivery receptacle for an automated package delivery via an unmanned aerial delivery device. The delivery receptacle is notified of a pending delivery and travels to a receiving location. The delivery receptacle emits infrared (“IR”) beacons from one or more IR beacon transmitters. An aerial delivery device detects the IR beacon and uses the beacons to navigate to the delivery receptacle. The delivery receptacle receives IR beacon responses from the aerial delivery device and continually or periodically directs the IR beacons in the direction of the aerial delivery device. The aerial delivery device deposits the package in the delivery receptacle. After receiving the package, the delivery receptacle transports the package to a secure location, such as into a garage.

A system includes storage compartments, each of the storage compartments being configured to store shipments and having a locking mechanism and a computing system that controls operations of the storage compartments. A system includes storage compartments, each of the storage compartments being configured to store shipments and having a locking mechanism and a computing system that controls operations of the storage compartments. A method includes dispatching a drone to a site. The drone includes audio/visual equipment. The method includes logging a plurality of timestamped locations of the drone and receiving, from the audio/visual equipment, site data captured by an on-site operator of the audio/visual equipment. The method includes correlating a portion of the site data with at least one of the timestamped locations of the drone.

A parcel delivery system and method. The parcel delivery system and method includes a user application loaded on mobile computing devices of a plurality of users and a service application loaded on mobile computing devices of a plurality of service providers. The users may create digital posts including information about parcels they would like to ship through the user application. The digital posts are accessible the user service provides on the service application. The service providers may select a digital post, pick up the parcel and deliver the parcel to a destination. The user may track the service provider during delivery via the user and service applications.
