SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING PICK UP OF PRODUCTS ORDERED BY A CUSTOMER BY A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER OF THE CUSTOMER
In some embodiments, methods and systems are provided that permit a customer to purchase products from a retailer and elect an option for a friend or family member of the customer to pick up the ordered products from the retail facility of the retailer associated with the geographic location of the customer. If the friend or family member of the customer agrees to pick up the products for the customer, and if the customer agrees to have the selected friend or family member of the customer pick up the products for the customer, the friend or family member is allowed to pick up the products at the retail facility associated with the geographic location of the customer. The customer is then allowed to either pick up the products from such a friend or family member or the friend or family member may deliver the products to the customer.
Method and system for autonomous authentication
A method and a system for secure and convenient delivery of item is disclosed. The method comprises loading a mobile robot with an item to be delivered. An item ID is generated, based on the ID of the item a security score is associated with the item. Further, a convenience score is associated with the item based on the ID. The present invention further discloses associating at least one or a plurality of authenticating techniques with the item, preferably based on the security score and/or the convenience score. The mobile robot is further configured to sense a user terminal via an authenticating sensor and facilitate the user to access an item space once the user is verified by the associated authenticating technique/s.

A computer-based method that allows users to conduct transactions and interact with environments and objects in an augmented space using any generic electronic device with a display and user input. The environment can be virtually rendered or 360° image or video pre-captured and allows the user to move around within it. Products, information, navigational or communication hotspots can be accessed by the user via the electronic device. Objects such as products are displayed as a 360° image and is user-interactable. There is an option for a physical kiosk located within a retail space that allows for offline (non Internet) use.

A locker system for shipment delivery and pick-up comprising: a remote shipping system, a long distance communication network, and a locker bank communicating with the remote shipping system via the long distance communication network and comprising a processor with a digital storage and a series of single shipment compartments equipped with doors electronically controlled by the processor, a drop compartment comprising an aperture for shipment drop-offs and whose access is protected by a rotating locking protection electronically controlled by the processor, and a locking collection door electronically controlled by the processor and protecting access to the drop compartment, the rotating locking protection and locking collection door being in the same vertical plane as the doors of the single shipment compartments.

The method further includes obtaining a geo-location of the second mobile communication device, processing a search request from the first mobile communication device, obtaining a radius of coverage for a merchant, determining whether the geo-location of the second mobile communication device is within the radius of coverage of the merchant, and providing a listing to the first mobile communication device of one or more items for sale by the merchant when the second mobile communication device is within the radius of coverage of the merchant.

According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a system for collection of products, the system comprising: at least one carrier (8) for carrying products (40); a collection point (14), at which collection point a user (10) of the system can remove products from the carrier; and a transporter arrangement (16, 20) for transporting the carrier to the collection point; wherein the system is arranged to physically inhibit (42) removal of the carrier by the user from the collection point.

The depository includes a door (18) that is controlled by a lock (24) so that only authorized users can access the interior area. At least one reading device (26) is operative to read indicia included on depository items so that depository items placed in or removed from the interior area can be tracked. The depository is in operative connection with a network (50) that enables the transport and tracking of deposit items.
