Electronic payment and authentication system with debit and identification data verification and electronic check capabilities

An electronic payment and authentication system that includes features to verify the authenticity of a payer, validate debit data, and facilitate debit (as opposed to credit) payment transactions. The electronic payment system allows a consumer to purchase items and services via a network while utilizing a debit transaction. The invention provides merchants with the ability to verify the identity of the consumer, determine if the consumer is a good debit transaction risk, and retrieve debit data associated with a particular consumer.

Identifying negotiable instrument fraud using distributed ledger systems

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving information of a negotiable instrument, transmitting the information to a distributed ledger system, the distributed ledger system maintaining a blockchain that records transactions associated with a plurality of negotiable instruments, receiving validation information from the distributed ledger system, the validation information indicating that negotiable instrument has not already been accepted, and accepting the first negotiable in response to the validation information.

Systems and methods for remote deposit of checks

Remote deposit of checks can be facilitated by a financial institution. A customer's general purpose computer and image capture device may be leveraged to capture an image of a check and deliver the image to financial institution electronics. Additional data for the transaction may be collected as necessary. The transaction can be automatically accomplished utilizing the images and data thus acquired.

Check tampering prevention using blockchain

Various embodiments are directed to techniques for ensuring that a negotiable instrument has not been altered between the time the instrument leaves the hands of the payor and when the check is presented for redemption by the payee by recording an image of the check in a data block in a blockchain and retrieving the image when the check is presented for redemption for comparison with the check. A match between the stored image and the check indicates that no alteration of the check has occurred.

Systems and methods for digital signature detection

A system, method and computer-readable medium are provided to enable digital bank endorsement. A digital image of a back side of a check may be placed in a computer memory. Appropriate coordinates for a bank endorsement may be determined. A bank endorsement may be automatically generated. The digital image may then be electronically altered by overlaying, merging, or rendering text of the generated bank endorsement. A modified digital image may be combined with an image of the front side of the check and stored and/or exported to check clearing operations.

AUGMENTED REALITY-ENABLED ATM FOR SECURE AUGMENTED REALITY CHECK REALIZATION

An Augmented Reality (AR)-enabled Automated Teller Machine (ATM) receives a request to dispense cash equal to amount of an AR document. The AR document comprises an AR check. The AR-enabled ATM fetches a first AR check image from a memory. The AR-enabled ATM extracts a first set of features from the first AR check image. The AR-enabled ATM receives a second AR check image from a computing device associated with the receiver. The AR-enabled ATM extracts a second set of features from the second AR check image. The AR-enabled ATM compares the first AR check image with the second AR check image. The AR-enabled ATM determines whether the first AR check image corresponds to the second AR check image. In response to determining that the first AR check image corresponds to the second AR check image, the AR-enabled ATM dispenses cash equal to the amount.

System for verifying documents using mixed reality applications

Disclosed is a system for authenticating checks using a mixed reality environment. The system includes a financial instrumentation central database for storing financial and identification data related to the checks, and a reality glasses coupled to the financial instrumentation central database. The reality glass includes a memory unit for storing a plurality of modules, a camera to capture the image of the check, a reality display; and a wearable processor coupled to the memory unit for processing the stored plurality of modules. The wearable processor is coupled to the financial instrumentation central database, to the camera to process captured images of the check. The plurality of modules includes a first level authentication module to authenticate a bank routing number, a second level authentication module to authenticate an account number on the check captured by the camera, a third level authentication module to authenticate an appropriate amount on the check, and a fourth level authentication module to authenticate a signature style on the check.

Methods and Systems For Rendering Early Access To Paychecks

A method performed by a server executing an algorithm to render early access to a paycheck to a customer through funds advance. The method including the steps of determining customer's eligibility in a financial institution for early access to paycheck and an approved amount (or a percentage) of the at least one paycheck based on decisioning criteria and customer's recurring direct deposit transactions data. The decisioning criteria may evaluate a reoccurrence and a deposit amount of at least one direct deposit, a direct deposit periodicity and an average monthly or daily account balance. The direct deposit transactions data may include mining transaction description such as text information on the at least one direct deposit to verify authenticity of the customer's data on the at least one direct deposit.

An illustrated view of an exemplary centralized electronic invoice/payment system for providing efficiency of invoicing and payment is presented. The centralized electronic invoice/payment system is useful for conveniently receiving all invoices in a timely manner and in one location for review. The centralized electronic invoice/payment system is useful for eliminating redundancy of invoice payments by paying multiple invoices with a single click. The centralized electronic invoice/payment system is further useful for retaining electronic proof of payment indefinitely.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems for remote deposit capture with enhanced image detection

The present application is directed to apparatuses, methods, and systems for remote deposit capture with enhanced image detection. In one form, a system includes a processor configured to extract an instrument image from an image that is associated with an account, where the instrument image is extracted by determining at least one corner of a plurality of corners of an instrument in the image, and to transmit the instrument image to a financial institution server to transfer funds between financial institution accounts.
