A computer-implemented method and system for managing financial institution customer transaction accounts involves issuing a relationship presentment card with a relationship identifier unique to the customer that is linked to a plurality of the customer's financial institution transaction accounts via pre-defined parameters for determining to which of the customer's linked accounts to post particular transactions with the relationship presentment card. Thereafter, when data for a transaction with the card is received by a processing platform of the financial institution via a merchant acquirer and a card association processing network, the card processing platform of the financial institution identifies a particular financial institution account of the customer to which the transaction should be posted according to the pre-defined parameters based on the transaction data and posts the transaction to the identified financial institution account of the customer.

A method for authenticating a check of a plurality of checks where the check was previously issued from a first party to a second party, including receiving first information from the first party, storing the first information in a file of a third party and receiving the check. The check has first party identifying information, a unique pseudorandom number of a pseudorandom sequence, and an amount. A status of activating the plurality of checks is determined. At least a portion of the first party identifying information included with the check, the unique pseudorandom number included with the check and the check amount included with the check are authenticated. The received check is authenticated if the first party, the unique pseudorandom number included with the check and the amount included with the check are authenticated and if the plurality of checks have been activated.

Method and system for authentication via a trusted execution environment

A method for authentication facilitated via a trusted execution environment includes: reading payment credentials in a first application program stored in a first memory area of a computing device; transmitting an authentication request to a second application program stored in a trusted execution environment of the computing device separate from the first memory area; displaying a prompt for authentication data based on an instruction supplied by the second application program; receiving authentication data; transmitting the received authentication data to an external computing device; receiving, by the second application program of the computing device, an authentication result from the external computing device; and transmitting, by the second application program of the computing device, the authentication result to the first application program in response to the authentication request.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to programming a payment device that can be in the same form factor as a typical credit or debit card and which can be programmed and reprogrammed with various payment profiles. The payment device is interfaced with a mobile device, such as through insertion into a module capable of holding the payment device within proximity to a main housing of the mobile device. The payment device can include both a magnetic stripe and an IC chip which is capable of near field communication. In embodiments of the invention, the mobile device, such as a cellular phone, includes a memory element. The memory element securely stores payment profiles of financial accounts which are commonly found on credit, debit, gift, transit and loyalty cards. When a payment profile stored in the memory element of the mobile phone is selected, the mobile phone writes the profile onto the payment device. The payment device can then be utilized to communicate payment profile information to a payment device reader during contact or contactless transaction.

A transaction processing system for sending user information data to a personal device, and an associated method are provided. The system comprises: a personal device, such as a balance display card; an interface device, such as a card reader for transmitting data to and from the card; a communications network connecting to the interface device; an issuer processor connected to the communications network; and a trusted network processor (TNP) processor connected to the communications network, interposed between the interface device and the issuer processor. The TNP processor is arranged to receive a transaction request message from a card user and to transmit a response message back to the personal device, the response message typically being a transaction authorization together with information for display on the card. The TNP processor is arranged to identify, dependent on properties of the transaction request message, whether the associated response message will require data to be sent to the user information device, and if so identified, to: route the transaction request message to the issuer processor using a standard message; receive the required data from the issuer processor using another standard message; match the received required data to the original request; generate an appropriate response message and script containing the required data; and transmit the response message back to the personal device thereby making the required information known to the user.

During the storing step, the biometric sample is stored on a database, for use by the transponder-reader system in authorizing transactions.
