A store profile generation method includes moving a mobile base around a product facility which includes an arrangement of product display units for displaying products. Product labels are associated with the display units. The product labels display product-related data for the displayed products. With an image capture assembly mounted on the mobile base, images are acquired of the product display units at a sequence of locations of the mobile base. With a computer processor, the product-related data is extracted from the acquired images and a store profile is constructed, based on the extracted product-related data, a spatial characterization of the image capture assembly, and information on the locations of the mobile base when the images were acquired, which indicates locations of the product labels throughout the product facility.

According to an embodiment, a payment apparatus acquires a data file in which data relating to sale of a commodity is recorded, the data being input through a terminal operated by a customer in a sales floor. The payment apparatus provides the customer with a notification for determining whether or not the customer has service specifying information for specifying a service to be provided to the customer on condition that the data file is acquired. An electronic shelf label wake-up method comprising: receiving an electronic shelf label wake-up instruction sent by a server; determining-target feature information of all electronic shelf labels to be woken up, and constructing a wake-up data packet according to all of the target feature information; and sending the wake-up data packet to all the electronic shelf labels so as to wake up the electronic shelf labels corresponding to the target feature information. In the present application, a plurality of electronic shelf labels can be woken up at the same time, and the efficiency of waking up electronic shelf labels in batches is improved. According to one embodiment, a commodity registration device for a self-service checkout system includes a display screen, a processor, and communication interface connectable to a registration support server. The processor is configured to receive an input of a commodity code identifying an item to be included in a customer transaction, then receive and store commodity detail data from the registration support server. The commodity detail data includes a commodity name and a price of the item corresponding to the commodity code. The processor causes the display screen to display commodity data for items included in the customer transaction in a list format. The commodity detail data of items in the list format associated with a price-cut condition are displayed in a distinguishable manner for those items in the list format that are not associated with any price-cut condition.
