An information processing device includes a first acquisition unit that acquires merchandise identification information identifying a merchandise, expiration date information indicating an expiration date determined for the merchandise, and exhibition unit information indicating a merchandise exhibition unit where the merchandise is exhibited, with respect to merchandises exhibited in the merchandise exhibition unit; a registration unit that registers merchandise exhibition information associated with the merchandise identification information, the expiration date information, and the exhibition unit information acquired by the first acquisition unit; a second acquisition unit that acquires the merchandise identification information and the expiration date information of sold merchandises; and an update unit that updates the merchandise exhibition information based on the merchandise identification information and the expiration date information acquired by the second acquisition unit.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURELY GENERATING AND PRINTING A DOCUMENT

Systems and methods for securely generating and printing documents are disclosed. For example, processor(s) of a computer system may receive information for the document from a computing device through a network, verify the information for the document, and upon verification, generate document generation data using at least a portion of the information for the document. The document generation data may include document metadata that enables generation of an image of the document and/or the image of the document. Upon the processor(s) verifying first authentication information of a first code associated with a printing device received from the computing device through the network and second authentication information of a second code associated with the computing device received from the printing device through the network, the processor(s) may transmit the document generation data to the printing device through the network, and cause the printing device to print the image of the document.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING A TRANSACTION USING AUGMENTED REALITY

A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform steps of a method. The system may provide an augmented environment that facilitates a transaction. The system may store profile data including user payment or user profile information. The system may then receive environmental data, and identify one or more action items in the environmental data. In response to this identification, the system may augment the environmental data by adding virtual environmental data, and then provide this virtual environmental data to a device to create an augmented environment. The system can then receive user input data, and provide purchase request data to a merchant terminal in response to those inputs.

HEAT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR TOP-DOWN READER OF A FIXED RETAIL SCANNER AND RELATED METHODS
20230230060 · 2023-07-20 ·

The disclosure includes a fixed retail scanner including a scanner base unit comprising one or more imagers to view a read zone, and a top-down reader having a head and an elongate stand operably coupled to the scanner base unit. The top-down reader includes a printed circuit board including one or more processors and optical components disposed within the head of the top-down reader, and a heat management system including a heat pipe having a first end disposed within the head and extending into a sealed air chamber within the stand to dissipate heat from the one or more processors into the sealed air chamber. Related methods for heat management of a top-down reader are also disclosed.

Packaging detection for self checkout

The present disclosure provides improved packaging detection at self-checkout kiosks by identifying a given bag type for a bag selected at a self-checkout kiosk out of a plurality of bag types available from a bag dispenser associated with the self-checkout kiosk; identifying a weight range for the given bag type; in response to determining that the bag has been moved to a packing area of the self-checkout kiosk, comparing a first weight in the packing area from before the bag was moved to the packing area with a second weight in the packing area that includes the bag; and in response to a difference between the first weight and the second weight falling outside of the weight range, generating a loss prevention alert and pausing a transaction at the self-checkout kiosk.

Systems and methods for authorizing a transaction

A system for authorizing a transaction includes one or more processors, and a memory storing instructions. When executed by the one or more processors, the instructions cause the system to perform operations including: receiving a configuration request associated with a financial service account via a web interface; setting a limitation in accordance with the configuration request; and generating a graphic indicium or a card number as a token for authorizing a transaction, associated with the financial service account, which satisfies the limitation in accordance with the configuration request. The token is configured to be printed on a substrate or loaded into an electronic payment system.

Nano-code-based reporting and authentication systems

A wearable computing device reads near-invisible one- or two-dimensional barcodes having a size of 100 microns to one millimeter. The device includes a magnifying lens, a digital camera, a processor, program memory and a wireless communication module, all supported on a wearable device body. The wearable device body may be an eyeglass frame, a watch body or wristband, a headband or sweatband or a cap or other headgear, among other possibilities. Applications of the wearable computing device include unattended shopping in a physical retail store.

System and method of selective auxiliary data capture

A method of auxiliary data capture control includes: storing, at a data capture device, (i) detection criteria corresponding to events having respective event identifiers; and (ii) a registration indicator associated with at least one of the event identifiers; controlling a primary data capture sensor to obtain primary captured data; in response to detecting, based on the primary captured data, that the detection criteria are satisfied for a detected one of the event identifiers, determining whether the registration indicator is associated with the detected event identifier; and when the registration indicator is associated with the detected event identifier, controlling an auxiliary data capture sensor to obtain auxiliary captured data.

Dispensing and live inventory management system and methods thereof
11704647 · 2023-07-18 · ·

Dispensing and live inventory management system and methods are disclosed. A shelf for items has bins each with an associated sensor. A processor receives a detection signal from the sensor which indicates placement or removal an item(s) from an associated bin. An entry device sends an entered request for placement or removal of items to the processor, and an indicator strip has lights which uniquely identify each one of the bins when lit. The processor has information relating to which bin each subset of lights is associated, and causes activation of a subset of lights associated with a bin of the item(s) in the request and records in memory a type of action, a timestamp and a quantity of the item(s) placed or removed from the bin having the subset of lights lit and indicated in the detection signal subsequently received from the sensor of the associated bin.
