SMART DATA CABLE FOR POINT OF SALE SYSTEMS
20180005218 · 2018-01-04 ·

Various embodiments are described herein that relate to network-connected data cables (i.e., “smart” data cables) that are connected to a merchant's point of sale system and a receipt printer. When a transaction is initiated at the point of sale system, transaction data is created by the point of sale system and passed to the smart data cable for transmission downstream to the receipt printer. The smart data cable can parse the transaction data, copy certain elements from the transaction data, and transmit the copied elements to a cloud-based platform that processes the transaction. For example, the cloud-based platform may compare the copied elements to information supplied by the customer through a messaging application executing on the customer's user device. The information may be provided by the customer to a chat bot that is supported by the cloud-based platform.

The disclosure relates to methods for the screening, identification, and/or application of one or more microorganisms of use in imparting one or more beneficial properties to one or more plants.

POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH MOBILE PAYMENT FEATURE

A point-of-sale system with a mobile payment feature includes an electronic display, one or more processors, and storage media storing a payment plugin to the point-of-sale system. The payment plugin sends ticket data representing a guest ticket over one or more data networks to an online service provider computer system; receives instruction from the service provider computer system to mark the guest ticket as designated for mobile payment; and causes user interface feedback on the electronic display that the guest ticket is to be paid via mobile payment. By doing so, the merchant is informed through their point-of-sale system that payment of the guest ticket will be facilitated by the online service provider. This alleviates the merchant from collecting payment from the guest before the guest leaves the merchant's premises and allows the guest to leave the premises as soon as the guest ticket is ready for mobile payment.

Systems, non-transitory computer readable storage mediums, and methods for a commerce platform coordinating transactions within third party applications

A method and apparatus for a commerce platform coordinating a purchase of a product sold by a merchant system through a third party application are described. The method may include receiving a notification from the third party application requesting to purchase a product from within the third party application, wherein the notification comprises an identifier for the product and an identifier for the merchant system that sells the product. The method may also include a product checkout interface having an appearance consistent with an appearance of a user interface of the third party application, and transmitting the product checkout interface generated by the commerce platform to a user device executing the third party application causing the third party application to render the product checkout interface within at least a portion of the user interface of the third party application.

Systems and methods for use in authenticating consumers in connection with payment account transactions

Disclosed are exemplary embodiments of systems and methods for use in authenticating consumers and/or computing devices to payment accounts. In an exemplary embodiment, a method generally includes generating, by a computing device, an authentication request for a consumer in response to a transaction by the consumer at a merchant. The transaction involves a payment account associated with the consumer, and the authentication request includes a direction to move a communication device associated with the consumer in a manner consistent with a reference movement. The method also includes receiving, by the computing device, an indication of movement of the communication device; comparing, by the computing device, the movement of the communication device to a reference movement; and then authenticating, by the computing device, the consumer to the payment account in connection with the transaction when the comparison indicates that the movement of the communication device matches the reference movement.

EXPENDITURE DATA SYSTEM

An expenditure data system including a bonus server, a data server, a mobile communication device and a wearable device is provided. The bonus server may store the bonus point information. The data server generates special offering information according to the consumption report. The mobile communication device receives the bonus point information and the consumption report, and transmits the bonus point information and the consumption report to the bonus server and the data server, respectively. The mobile communication device also downloads the special offering information. The wearable device generates the consumption report in response to purchasing operation involving the wearable device, and generates the bonus point information according to the consumption report. The wearable device transmits the consumption report and the bonus point information to the mobile communication device, and analyzes the consumption report to generate and display an expenditure analysis.

Wearable Earpiece Multifactorial Biometric Analysis System and Method

A system, method and one or more wireless earpieces for authenticating a transaction utilizing one or more wireless earpieces. An indication that the transaction is pending is received by the one or more wireless earpieces. Biometric readings are performed for a user utilizing sensors of the one or more wireless earpieces. The biometric readings are analyzed to determine whether the user is authorized to perform the transaction. The transaction is authenticated in response to determining the biometric readings authorize the user to perform the transaction.

System, method, and article of manufacture to non-intrusively authenticate one or more secondary users of a mobile device and displaying a scanning code over a lock screen wallpaper of the mobile device
11710123 · 2023-07-25 · ·

An article of manufacture is described as implemented in a mobile device having a lock screen wallpaper, where the mobile device maintains a profile storing authentication data associated with both a primary user of a mobile device and one or more secondary users that are authorized to use the mobile device. When the mobile device is at a business location, the secondary user(s) are non-intrusively authenticated as authorized user(s) of the mobile device. Upon successful authentication a scanning code is displayed over a lock screen wallpaper of the mobile device, where power is conserved in the mobile device by providing the scanning code to the secondary user(s) without unlocking the mobile device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PAYMENT PROCESSING ON PLATFORMS

Systems and methods for payment processing on devices are provided. Such systems and methods enable payment processing to be completed with a peripheral device (such as a magnetic card reader) and a point of sales system, without the need for extensive developer integration. The system receives a payment charge amount from a point of sales system. The system also detects (or dynamically populates) peripheral devices that are used to capture account information. The peripheral device is a supported device type with an associated library, which includes data for properly interfacing with the peripheral device. The system provides the captured account data, a merchant ID and the amount of the charge to a payment management system. The system likewise receives a response (approve or decline) from the payment management system.
