APPARATUS AND METHOD TO FACILITATE TRANSFER OF CONSIDERATION BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS IN A COMMON GEOLOCATION
20230024775 · 2023-01-26 ·

A networked machine has a network interface to provide connectivity to a network. The network interface hosts a first network connection that receives geolocation information from users operating common client applications on client machines, and a second network connection that accesses credit data for the users from creditor machines. A processor is connected to the network interface. A memory is connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions executed by the processor to analyze consideration transfer input from a sending user in a common geolocation as one or more potential recipient users, authorize a transaction based upon the consideration transfer input, transfer funds between an account associated with the sending user and an account associated with a recipient user, and notify, via network communications, the sending user and the recipient user of the transaction.

Payment authorization system

Systems and methods for providing a payment authorization system include a payment authorization device that receives, through communication over a network with at least one of a user device and a payment provider device, a request to authenticate a merchant virtual storefront. The request may be received in association with a merchant virtual storefront transaction request. The payment authorization device also retrieves identifying information associated with the merchant virtual storefront. Additionally, the payment authorization device may retrieve, from a database located in a non-transitory memory, baseline identifying information for comparison to the retrieved identifying information. The payment authorization device determines an authenticity of the merchant virtual storefront based on the retrieved identifying information and subsequently authorizes the merchant virtual storefront transaction request. In some cases, prior to authorizing the merchant virtual storefront transaction request, the payment authorization device requests approval from a third-party approver.

Processing a mobile payload

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a payment server and from a messaging application executing on a first mobile device operated by a first user, a request to initiate a payment transaction using a payment application. The request includes a payment amount and an identifier associated with the first user. The method includes facilitating a first adjustment to a balance associated with the financial account of the first user in the data store identified based on the identifier. The method includes generating a link associated with the first adjustment and transmitting the link to the first mobile device. The method includes, upon receiving from a second user operating a messaging application, an indication that the second user has interacted with the link within the messaging application, facilitating a second adjustment of a balance of a financial account of the second user according to the payment amount.

Method, system, and computer program product for automatically re-processing a transaction

A method for automatically re-processing a transaction in an electronic payment processing network independent of a merchant system or a user includes: receiving a first transaction message associated with a payment transaction; generating a first authorization request; communicating the first authorization request to an issuer system; in response to determining that the first authorization request failed, automatically determining a second payment device associated with the user based on profile data; automatically generating a second authorization request associated with the transaction; communicating the second authorization request to a second issuer system; and in response to determining that the second authorization request was approved by the second issuer, processing the transaction based on the transaction data and the second account data.

Systems, methods, and computer programs for providing users maximum benefit in electronic commerce

The present invention generally relates to a system, method, and computer program for providing maximum savings in electronic commerce. Specifically, during a shopping experience, several products or service inputs, such as: electronic coupon codes, sales taxes, cashback rebates, customer loyalty programs, etc. are calculated and compared against numerous competitor retailer stores to ascertain the lowest price. Several optimization schemes are also disclosed which enhance a user experience.

INTEGRATED MOBILE WALLET SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20230230070 · 2023-07-20 ·

Systems and methods for facilitating card transactions via a mobile wallet on a user's mobile device are described. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to the use of codes with network tokens for validation during payment processing. The codes may be transmitted optically (e.g., by presenting a two-dimensional barcode or three-dimensional barcode on a display of the mobile device that is scanned by a POS terminal) or wirelessly (e.g., via near-field communication (“NFC”), Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi®, etc.). The mobile wallet is implemented on the user's mobile device (e.g., the user's smartphone) and is associated with a financial institution. The mobile wallet may utilize credit and debit cards issued by the financial institution or by another financial institution. Generally, the mobile wallet system utilizes host card emulation via a network-generated token that is processed by the network to complete the contemplated transaction.

Systems and methods for communicating with a magnetic reader head

A device and method for waveform transmission of transaction card data to a merchant point-of-sale device are provided. The device includes a memory device for storing data, a processor, and a transmitter. The device is programmed to receive transaction card data that mimics data stored within a magnetic stripe associated with a transaction card, convert the transaction card data to a first data file for storage within the memory device, transmit the first data file to the transmitter, and transmit a first waveform from the transmitter to the POS device, wherein the first waveform includes changes in a magnetic field that represent the transaction card data.

Method and system for augmented feature purchase

A computer-implemented augmented reality-based method provides a user device access to data content by processing of camera image captured by the user device to identify a candidate visual area, which are then processed to identify visual features indicative of available data content. The identified features are compared to visual features of database objects indicative of available data content, and a determination made regarding the object that corresponds to the identified features. Instructions are then generated to augment a display of the camera image with selectable image features. In response to a selection of one of the selectable image features, a determination is made regarding whether the user device has permission to access the data content associated with the selected image feature. If not, a payment settlement arrangement is implemented for the user device to gain access permission to the data content.

Presence verification for electronic transactions
11704657 · 2023-07-18 · ·

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for verifying physical presence of a mobile device as part of an electronic transaction. Tags may be generated and displayed on one or more display devices. Those tags, which may be time-limited, may be read by a mobile device to verify physical presence of the mobile device as a prerequisite to initiating, continuing with, or completing an electronic transaction, and/or as a decision point in how the electronic transaction is to be conducted.

Methods and systems for enhancing online payment transaction experience

Embodiments provide methods, and server systems for enhancing online payment transaction experience. A method includes receiving, by a server system associated with a payment network, a tokenization request based on selecting a payment card of a plurality of payment cards of a user from a payment application running on a user device for processing an online payment transaction using the selected payment card at a merchant payment interface on the user device. The tokenization request includes a card information of the selected payment card. The method includes facilitating generation of a digital token. The digital token includes a tokenized card information of the selected payment card. The method includes provisioning the digital token in a floating widget at the merchant payment interface on the user device. The floating widget enables the user to enter the digital token at the merchant payment interface for processing the online payment transaction.
