Method and System for Asynchronous Mobile Payments for Multiple In-Person Transactions Conducted in Parallel
A mobile consumer device with a display, processor(s), and memory: identifies a merchant device in proximity to the consumer device based on broadcasted information transmitted by the first merchant device, the broadcasted information including a first identifier corresponding to the first merchant device; transmits the first identifier to a server and receives from the server an electronic communication including identification and transaction information associated with the merchant; displays the identification information, receives user selection of the merchant identification information; and in response, displays the merchant transaction information, receives supplemental user information, and transmits the supplemental transaction information to the server for completion of the transaction.
INTERMEDIARY COMMUNICATIONS OVER NON-PERSISTENT NETWORK CONNECTIONS
A mobile device with a first transceiver, a second transceiver, one or more processors, and memory bridges communications between an offline retail machine with a short-range communication capability and a remote server by obtaining via the first transceiver a single-use request code from an information packet broadcast by the offline retail machine; transmitting via the second transceiver the single-use request code to a remote server; obtaining via the second transceiver from the remote server a grant token including the single-use request code; detecting a trigger condition for initiating provision of a product or service by the offline retail machine; and in response to detecting the trigger condition, initiating performance of the provision of the product or service by transmitting the grant token to the offline retail machine via the first transceiver.
Context-dependent authentication system, method and device
A method for authenticating a user using a user device connected to a communications network, the method comprising an implicit phase, wherein said implicit phase comprises performing at least one task within a workflow, said at least one task necessary to move forward within said workflow; storing information associated with said performing of at least one task; comparing said stored information with a stored user profile; and determining whether said authentication of said user is successful or unsuccessful based on said comparing.
Interactive mobile sessions based on point-of-sale and network transactions
Techniques described herein include analyzing point-of-sale transactions and initiating interactive mobile sessions responsive to the transactions. Platform servers receive transaction data indicative of a transaction performed via a point-of-sale system, determine additional data associated with server processes, and initiate interactive session with the mobile device to receive the additional data for performing the server processes. Based on the interactive sessions and additional data, the platform servers may enhance fraud detection capabilities and generates compliance records for tax and expense reporting based on the transactions, while supporting credentialing and authentication capabilities.
System and method for matching patrons, servers, and restaurants within the food service industry
A system and method of combining table management software and customer experience skills by generating profiles of patrons, servers, and restaurants by using machine learning algorithms on and location data in those profiles to build more intimate relationships between patrons, food service establishments, and food service professionals. Trait matching provides optimized matchmaking between patrons and servers who share certain commonalities or affinities while also balancing the table management operations. Machine learning algorithms may be used to identify patterns of commonality that would not otherwise be recognized. This system allows patrons to choose servers at an establishment over a plurality of electronic devices by using the cluster analysis results. It provides servers more lateral work experience between participating restaurants, and restaurants more power to operate smoothly and build highly cohesive teams.
TRANSACTION METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, PAYMENT SYSTEM, MERCHANT SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A transaction method, a terminal device, a payment system, a merchant system, and a storage medium. The transaction method comprises: generating a payment request (101); sending the payment request in a rich media message format to a payment system (102); and receiving a payment processing result in a rich media message format from the payment system, wherein the payment processing result corresponds to the payment request (104). A user can make payment by sending and receiving rich media messages without needing to install multiple payment applications, thereby enabling convenient operation.
Systems and methods for communicating about products using unique identifiers and social media
A computer-implemented method for communicating about a product includes under control of one or more configured computer systems, selecting a product having a unique identifier (UID), using the unique identifier (UID) for the selected product to link a unique social media feed to the selected product, and enabling users to access the unique social media feed for engaging in social media conversations about the selected product. The method includes selecting a second product having a second unique identifier (2UID), using the second unique identifier (2UID) for the selected second product to link a second unique social media feed to the selected second product, and enabling users to access the second unique social media feed for engaging in social media conversations about the selected second product. The unique identifier (UID) is serial numbers, random numbers, names maintained by a central registry, or codes maintained by a central registry. The unique identifier (UID) assigned to the selected product is a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), a Universal Product Code (UPC), a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), an International Article Number (EAN), or an Australian Product Number (APN).
SINGLE-USE PAYMENT TOKENS
Provided are systems and methods for managing and implementing single-use payment-enabled tokens. In one example, a method may include distributing, via a server, a payment-enabled token to a payment application on a computing device, the payment-enabled token being mapped to a payment account of the payment application via a tokenization service, detecting use of the payment-enabled token as a payment via the payment application, and in response to the detecting, deactivating the payment-enabled token at the server and storing an identifier of the payment-enabled token and an additional data element of the payment-enabled token that identifies the payment account together within a data structure of the server.
Microtransaction detection and authorization systems and methods
Systems and methods for transaction authorization management based on user-defined account restrictions are provided. A financial services device may receive a transaction approval policy including one or more parameters defining account access restrictions. The financial services device may receive attempted purchases from a purchase device and determine, based on the transaction approval policy, whether to authorize or decline the attempted purchases. The financial services device may also be capable of notifying an account-holder about the attempted purchases and receive instructions from the account-holder whether to authorize or decline the attempted purchase.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SMART IDENTIFICATION AND STEP-UP AUTHENTICATION
The disclosure describes systems and techniques for assessing risk of an open Wi-Fi network, at a consumer's request, before the consumer performs a transaction. The system receives a Wi-Fi network risk assessment request associated with a Wi-Fi network connection of a mobile device. Upon receiving the request, the system retrieves connection-related data from the mobile device. The connection-related data is associated with the Wi-Fi network connection. The system performs a Wi-Fi risk assessment of the Wi-Fi network connection. The system transmits a result of the risk assessment to the mobile device for presentation on the mobile device. The system also transmits the result of the risk assessment to an issuer server. The issuer server is associated with a payment account of the consumer. Moreover, the system transmits a step-up authentication alert to the issuer server.
