Payment transaction methods and systems enabling verification of payment amount by payment card

Embodiments provide a method of facilitating a payment transaction with a payment card of a customer. The method includes receiving a payment transaction request initiated at a merchant terminal. The payment transaction request comprising at least a merchant transaction amount associated with a purchase entered at a merchant terminal, a PIN of the payment card provided by the customer via a keypad and a customer transaction amount provided by the customer via the keypad. The method includes facilitating verification of facilitating verification of the PIN with a stored PIN. The method further includes, upon successful verification, determining whether the merchant transaction amount conforms to the customer transaction amount. The method further includes facilitating a payment transaction associated with the payment transaction request if the merchant transaction amount conforms to the customer transaction amount.

Systems and methods for preventing fraudulent credit card and debit card transactions

A system and method for preventing fraudulent credit card or debit card transactions by coupling a smart phone to the credit card or the debit card, and transmitting identification information from the smart phone to the card. The card is normally disabled such that no transaction may take place unless the card is enabled. The card receives the transmitted identification information and compares that information to corresponding information stored on the card. If the received information matches the stored information, the card is enabled thus allowing the transaction to take place.

System and Method for Providing Transaction Report Data Using A User Device

Various implementations described herein may relate to a system and method for providing transaction report data using a user device. In one implementation, a method may include receiving, at a token service provider (TSP), tokenization request data from a user device associated with a user, where the tokenization request data includes payment card data associated with the user. The method may also include generating a digital token based on the tokenization request data. The method may further include transmitting the digital token to the user device. The method may additionally include receiving transaction report data from the user device, where the transaction report data corresponds to a failed payment transaction performed using the digital token, the user device, and a merchant system. The method may also include generating failure data based on the transaction report data, where the failure data comprises alert data, failure report data, or combinations thereof.

Generating Account Numbers Using Biometric Information Obtained Via a Generic Transaction Card
20230021430 · 2023-01-26 ·

Methods and systems disclosed herein describe a generic transaction card that generates an account number based on a biometric identifier of a user. Multiple users may use the generic transaction card to transact. For example, a first user may provide a first biometric identifier to the generic transaction card, which may generate a first account number associated with the first user. The first user may then use the generic transaction card to transact. Similarly, a second user may provide a second biometric identifier to the same generic transaction card, which may generate a second account number associated with the second user. The second user may then use the same generic transaction card to make purchases charged to the second user's account.

Methods of performing transactions with a payment card comprising an integrated circuit are disclosed comprising interacting with an integrated circuit on a received payment card and inferring an application corresponding to a card brand and card type of the payment card, or retrieving a map of the integrated circuit to read records on the integrated circuit based on the map, are disclosed. Corresponding devices, such as PIN pads, and computer products are also disclosed.

Methods for placing an EMV chip onto a metal card

A method for removing an EMV chip from a plastic credit card or debit card and placing the removed EMV chip onto a metal card, includes heating the plastic credit or debit card containing the EMV chip to loosen the EMV chip, the EMV chip being substantially square and planar, the EMV chip having an upward top face, a downward bottom face, and four sides; removing the loosened EMV chip from the plastic credit or debit card; bending the four sides of the EMV chip towards the downward bottom face of the EMV chip; applying an adhesive coating to the bottom face and the bended four sides of the EMV chip; and placing the adhesive coated bottom face and bended four sides of the EMV chip into a holding cavity of the metal card.

DYNAMIC MODIFICATION OF A VERIFICATION METHOD ASSOCIATED WITH A TRANSACTION CARD
20230230095 · 2023-07-20 ·

A device may determine that a verification method associated with a transaction card is to be modified from a first verification method to a second verification method. The first verification method and the second verification method may use different types of verification information. The device may provide a set of instructions to the transaction card after determining that the verification method is to be modified. The set of instructions may cause the transaction card to modify the verification method from the first verification method to the second verification method. The device may provide information identifying a modification to the verification method to a transaction backend device to notify the transaction backend device that the verification method associated with the transaction card has been modified from the first verification method to the second verification method.

User authentication based on a user interaction associated with a transaction

An example fraud analysis platform may receive timing information associated with a user interaction during a transaction, wherein the user interaction is associated with a user engaging in a transaction using a transaction account and a transaction device to access the transaction account. The fraud analysis platform may generate, based on the timing information, a transaction interaction signature associated with the user interaction. The fraud analysis platform may compare the transaction interaction signature to a reference signature associated with an authorized user of a transaction account. The fraud analysis platform may determine, based on the transaction interaction signature being associated with the reference signature, that the user interaction was performed by the authorized user of the transaction account. The fraud analysis platform may perform, based on determining that the user interaction was performed by the authorized user, an action associated with the transaction or transaction account.

Methods and systems for enhancing online payment transaction experience

Embodiments provide methods, and server systems for enhancing online payment transaction experience. A method includes receiving, by a server system associated with a payment network, a tokenization request based on selecting a payment card of a plurality of payment cards of a user from a payment application running on a user device for processing an online payment transaction using the selected payment card at a merchant payment interface on the user device. The tokenization request includes a card information of the selected payment card. The method includes facilitating generation of a digital token. The digital token includes a tokenized card information of the selected payment card. The method includes provisioning the digital token in a floating widget at the merchant payment interface on the user device. The floating widget enables the user to enter the digital token at the merchant payment interface for processing the online payment transaction.

Computer-implemented method for performing a restricted transaction

The present disclosure is related to a field of payment transactions using a card that discloses a computer-implemented method and a system for restricting a transaction while using a payment card. A card processing server may receive card details, a transaction amount, a flag, and signature data of the payment card from a remote terminal upon initiating a transaction using the payment card. Further, the card processing server validates the payment card based on the card details and the signature data of the payment card and thereafter determines a value associated with the flag upon successful validation. The value associated with the flag indicates one of two conditions, e.g., a true condition and a false condition. Based on the condition indicated by the flag, the card processing server performs one of a first action and a second action related to either processing or declining the transaction.
