System, Method, and Apparatus for Processing a Merchant Redemption Voucher
Provided is a system for processing at least one merchant redemption voucher associated with a customer, including a transaction processing server having a processor programmed or configured to activate at least one merchant redemption voucher for use by the customer at a merchant based at least partially upon an activation request received from the customer, receive, from a merchant point-of-sale system, a transaction request associated with a transaction between the customer and the merchant and comprising a merchant identifier, a transaction amount, and an account identifier, identify the at least one merchant redemption voucher based at least partially on the account identifier, determine if the at least one merchant redemption voucher can be processed based at least partially on the at least one merchant redemption rule, and determine a modified transaction amount based at least partially on the transaction amount and the at least one merchant redemption rule.
Wireless service provider system for selling and/or activating wireless services for a wireless device
A method and system for the purchase and activation of services on a wireless device are provided. The method and system include the use of an airtime card with a near field communication tag with a unique identifier code used to improve a user's experience and ease of activation/provisioning of services for the wireless device. In some aspects, the unique identifier may be generated during the activation and purchase of the wireless service and it is not required that the unique identifier code be recorded in a backend system of the wireless provider prior to activation. The services to be purchased and activated may include at least one of the following: out of the box activation, device upgrades, device reactivations, wireless number changes, wireless number porting, and the addition or purchasing of services including airtime, data, and/or SMS enrollments or data content.

Electronic financial service risk evaluation
Electronic stored value cards (eSVCs) may be susceptible to fraud, theft, or unauthorized access. As eSVCs are still relatively new, the eSVC industry may not have fully developed sufficient safeguards to prevent such fraud, therft, and unauthorized access. Disclosed herein are systems, apparatus, and methods for evaluating whether or not to provide a service, which may include displaying, funding, or authorizing an eSVC. The evaluation may be in response to a request for such a service. The evaluation may be based on a risk due to fraud, theft, or unathorized access.
Product based gift card
A method for allowing a purchaser to purchase an electronic gift includes providing code to a merchant that, when selected opens an overlay on the merchant's website, with the code being selected in association with at least one item available for sale on the website. The purchaser provides recipient and billing information using a device accessing he overlay. A service provider receives payment, in an amount at least equal to a purchase price of the item, and obtains an electronic gift card having at least a unique gift card number and a balance at least equal to the purchase price of the item. After the electronic gift card has been obtained, the service provider electronically notifies the recipient that the electronic gift has been purchased by the purchaser. The notification is viewable by the recipient and includes at least an identification of the item.
Systems for providing and processing surprise conditional gifts
A method for providing a gift includes receiving gift information comprising data indicative of a gift type, a maximum gift amount, a gift recipient, and a first financial account from a first computing device associated with a gifter and via a software application. The first financial account being associated with the gifter and the gift recipient having preregistered user account with the software application. The method includes identifying one or more recipient financial accounts associated with the gift recipient including at least a second financial account. The method includes identifying a gift-eligible transaction that is associated with the second financial account by monitoring transaction data associated with the one or more recipient financial accounts. The method includes transmitting a gift notification to a second computing device and outputting an instruction to initiate a transfer of a gift amount from the first financial account to the second financial account.
SHORT-TERM CERTIFICATE
A short-term certificate is disclosed. The method receives a request for a short-term certificate to be generated from a credit account of a first party and provided to a second party, the request includes an amount allocated to the short-term certificate and an identifier for the second party. A part of the credit account is allocated to cover the value of the short-term certificate. The short-term certificate is generated and provided to the second party. However, no funds are taken from the credit account of the first party until the short-term certificate is redeemed.
SHORT-TERM AUTHORIZED PASS
A short-term authorized pass is disclosed. The method receives a request for a short-term authorized pass to be generated from a credit account of a first party and provided to a second party, the request includes an amount allocated to the short-term authorized pass. A sub-account is generated from the credit account by allocating a part of the credit account to form the sub-account. The credit limit on the sub-account is set to the amount identified by the first party, a virtual account number (VAN) is assigned to the sub-account, and the VAN of the sub-account is linked to the credit account. The short-term authorized pass is generated, using the VAN of the sub-account, and is provided to the second party. However, no funds are taken from the credit account of the first party until the short-term authorized pass is used.
ERASABLE REUSABLE CHECK
Apparatus and methods for an erasable reusable check are provided. The method may include receiving in a card reader a microchip embedded in a check. The method may also include extracting from the microchip data identifying a payor name, a payor address, a bank account number of a payor bank account a routing number of the payor bank account, and pixelated data. The method may further include transforming the pixelated data into written text and creating an Image Replacement Document (IRD) of the check. The IRD may include the payor name, the payor address, the bank account number, the routing number, and the written text.
Employee customizable payroll processing
Various embodiments are related to apparatuses and methods related to payroll processing. An employee can designate a customized payroll pay period, and each employee can designate a different payroll pay period. For example, the employee can designate to receive payroll payments on any frequency supported by the employer, including receiving a daily payroll payment on each day that the employee works. The employee's employer can make payroll payments according to the employee's designation. Further, when the employer is a merchant that makes sales each day using, for example, a point of sale system, the employer can electronically pay the employee using funds from the day's sales. For example, the employee can work on a selected day, and can receive an electronic payroll payment at the end of the shift. The employee can immediately use the just received electronic payment funds to purchase a good from a second merchant.
