System and Method for Provisioning a Gift with a Uniform Resource Locator
Provided herein are systems and methods for provisioning a gift. The method includes receiving, with at least one processor, a request to provision a gift, the request comprising a uniform resource locator (URL) corresponding to a network location associated with a merchant and/or item, generating, with at least one processor, a modified URL configured to direct a user device to the network location associated with the merchant and/or item, the modified URL based on the original URL, an account identifier, and one or more account limits, and transmitting, with at least one processor, the modified URL to the user device, such that the user device is facilitated to engage in a transaction through the network location associated with the merchant and/or item using a payment account associated with the account identifier.
DETACHABLE RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SWITCH TAG
A radio frequency identification (RFID) switch tag is disclosed. This RFID switch tag includes a base component having an ultra-high frequency (UHF) booster, and a detachable component having at least one UHF RFID module and a high frequency (HF) RFID module. In some embodiments, the detachable component is positioned in close proximity to the base component in a first configuration of the RFID switch tag such that the at least one UHF RFID module is sufficiently coupled to the UHF booster in the base component to form an UHF RFID system having a desired performance. The detachable component can also be separated from the base component to obtain a second configuration of the RFID switch tag, and the HF RFID module remains functional within the detached detachable component so that the detachable component can be used as a standalone HF RFID tag.
System and method for targeted marketing and consumer resource management
Systems and methods are provided for providing gift card exchange opportunities to consumers. For example, a consumer may elect to trade registered gifts cards by selecting the gift cards to swap and indicating the value of the card to be swapped. Cards may be digitally swapped, for example, via a universal transaction card, or gift cards may be cancelled and replaced with one or more new cards and partial gift card values may be exchanged. The consumer may use a consumer account to purchase and configure gift cards that may be used for purchasing goods and services. A universal transaction identifier may be associated with the consumer account and used to purchase goods and services from more than one selected goods and services providers.
Prepaid debit card transaction processing
An example method of processing a transaction associated with a prepaid debit card includes: triggering, by an agent executing on a point-of-sale (POS) device, an alternative handling procedure for the transaction; sending, as part of the alternative handling procedure, the transaction from the POS device to a server; verifying the transaction at the server; sending, in response to the transaction satisfying the step of verifying: a request from the server to an issuing bank system to fund an account associated with the prepaid debit card; and an authorization from the server to the POS device; and triggering, by the agent executing on the POS device in response to the authorization, a nominal handling procedure for the transaction.
RETRIEVING HIDDEN DIGITAL IDENTIFIER
A method of providing access to securely held data is provided. A user interacts with the service provider to obtain access to a service by using a device to provide a digital identifier to the service provider, without the digital identifier being made known to the user. At a later date the user wishes to retrieve securely stored data relating to their use of the service. However, because the user does not know the digital identifier, they are unable to identify themselves to the service provider using the digital identifier. The present disclosure provides a secure method for exchanging private identifiers, which allows the user to identify themselves to the service provider in order to gain access to securely stored data relating to the user's previous use of the service. The user can do this using the device on which the digital identifier is stored, or another device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GIFTING OF PRODUCTS, STORED VALUE INSTRUMENTS, OR BOTH
The gifting systems and corresponding methods of the present disclosure electronically provide a stored value instrument as a gift in place of a suggested product. The methods include taking a selected product offered for sale on a merchant's eCommerce website, converting that product into a gift suggestion, and delivering a personalized message including the gift suggestion and the stored value instrument to a gift recipient, based on various calculations, rules, and user inputs. The gift recipient can either purchase the suggested gift or any other gift from the eCommerce website's merchant using the stored value instrument. These systems and methods support multiple contributors to the gift and can be used via social or non-social networks. These systems and methods also support the delivery of personalized online messages related to a gift via social networks, email, or SMS. The personalized online messages include eGreeting cards, written messages, video recordings, and/or photos.
LOW COST CONTROL POUR
One embodiment may include a machine for providing beverages. The machine may include a reader configured to read data representative of an available balance for a user to obtain beverages from the machine from a machine-readable medium and electronics. The electronics may be configured to receive the data from the machine-readable medium in response to the user positioning the machine-readable medium within reading distance of the reader, enable the user to dispense a beverage into a vessel, and update the available balance of the machine-readable medium so as to reduce or prevent the user from dispensing unlimited beverages.
Systems and methods for facilitating event access through payment accounts
Exemplary systems and methods for facilitating access to events based on associations between payment accounts and such access are disclosed. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, an access request for an event where the access request is associated with a consumer requesting access to the event, and searching, by the computing device, in a data structure for a payment account identified in the request. When the identified payment account is found, the method includes verifying, by the computing device, that the identified payment account is associated with the event. And, when association of the payment account and the event is verified, the method includes causing, by the computing device, an access output to be generated at the event, whereby the consumer is permitted access to the event, based on the access output, without separately presenting credentials.
System for processing payment for products and related methods
A system for processing payment for products for purchase may include a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and a promotions processing server coupled to the POS terminal and that may include a processor and an associated memory coupled thereto. The processor may be configured to store in the memory a respective digital coupon wallet for each user and present, to the POS terminal, a digital coupon in the respective digital coupon wallet for a given user for at least one product. The processor may also be configured to generate a supplemental, full-price, digital coupon for a remaining purchase price after application of the digital coupon to a purchase price of the at least one product and present, to the POS terminal, the supplemental, full-price, digital coupon.
System for Packaging, Processing, Activating, and Deactivating Multiple Individual Transaction Cards as a Singular Unit
A transaction card processing and activation system comprising the identification of a unique identifier corresponding to an aggregate of transaction cards of affiliated or non-affiliated card issuers and the activation of each transaction card corresponding to the unique identifier of the aggregate irrespective of the number, types, or card issuers of the transaction cards. Additionally, the present invention allows a point of sale entity to initiate the activation of each of the multiple, disparate transaction cards in the aggregate by merely processing the unique identifier associated with the aggregate.
