Augmented Reality Confidential View
A method implemented on an augmented reality (AR) device includes receiving an image of a document on the AR device. The image of the document includes one or more areas of obfuscated text. A marker on the document is identified. The marker is associated with an area of obfuscated text on the document. The marker is scanned using the AR device. When the user of the AR device is authenticated, a non-obfuscated image of the text associated with the marker is displayed on the AR device.

Systems and methods for reading flat cards
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that enable scanning of any type of card regardless of the shape and design of a given card and/or a font, a shape and a format with which characters such as numbers, letters and symbols are printed on the cards including cards with non-embossed characters printed thereon. In one example, a method includes scanning a card, the card including at least an account number associated with a user of the card and an identifier of the user; detecting, by applying a machine learning model to the card after scanning the card, at least the account number printed on the card; and completing a task using the account number.
Transaction processing using optically encoded information
A computer-implemented method for providing payment account information in a user account by receiving payment card information by a card reader at a point of sale. An account can be created when the payment card information is read by the card reader. Optionally, a gift card can be scanned prior to the creation of the account, and the gift card information can be combined with the payment card information. The gift card can be an electronic gift card which can be personalized with textual, visual, video, and/or audio portions.
Kiosk Gift Card System and Method
A gift card system and method for purchasing both physical and digital gift cards at a kiosk, both physical and virtual, is disclosed. The system/method includes a gift card distribution kiosk located at a retail establishment or online that provides a user with access to a multitude of different forms of gift cards that may be purchased and printed onto a customizable card with a personalized message. The kiosk includes a kiosk processor interface, a gift card dispenser, a card reader and gift card management server connected to a network. The gift card management server, through the kiosk processor interface, provides vendor options to users to select and pay via the card reader. The kiosk may be used to redeem unused user gift cards for a reduced value user selected gift card, reduced cash value, full value store card, rewards points, bank debit, and/or electronic code user towards online purchases.
PREPAID CHIP CARD EXCEPTION PROCESSING
A portable consumer device may have money stored therein, which can be calculated using an accumulator record and an exception record. The accumulator record can be incremented by the amount of any initiated transaction using the portable consumer device. The exception record can be incremented by the amount of any completed transaction using the portable consumer device. The portable consumer device may also have a limit amount, to record the amount of money added. The records allow for a later reconstruction of the device history, and can account for any errors or problems during transactions.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR TOPPING UP PREPAID PAYMENT CARDS FOR OFFLINE USE
A card holder carries out an initial top-up of a balance of a pre-paid payment card. The prepaid payment card is configured for use in an infrastructure in accordance with a payment specification requiring different behavior for normal transactions in the infrastructure versus that required for topping-up of the balance. Contemporaneously with the initial top-up, the card holder registers risk mitigation information in association with the pre-paid payment card. Subsequent to the initial top-up, an indicator is written to the pre-paid payment card during a transaction with the pre-paid payment card outside the infrastructure. The indicator identifies the pre-paid payment card as having the risk mitigation information associated therewith. During subsequent presentation of the pre-paid payment card to the infrastructure, the pre-paid payment card is treated as a token backed up by the risk mitigation information, based on presence of the indicator on the pre-paid payment card.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BILLPAY USING CREDIT-BASED PRODUCTS
Systems and methods for online billpay using credit products are disclosed. In one embodiment, in an information processing apparatus comprising at least one computer processor, a method for online billpay using a credit product may include: (1) receiving, from a customer, an identification of a merchant for online credit-based bill pay; (2) retrieving accepted payment mechanisms from the merchant; (3) selecting a payment mechanism from the accepted payment mechanisms; (4) receiving an invoice for a customer transaction with the merchant from the merchant; (5) conducting a payment transaction with the selected payment mechanism; and (6) charging the payment transaction to a credit account associated with the customer.
Multi-leg transaction processing
An embodiment includes a method of multi-leg transaction processing. The method includes receiving from a merchant server, a designation of two or more sub-transactions of a pending multi-leg transaction as a coupled group. The execution of any of the two or more sub-transactions in the coupled group is dependent on prior authorization of each of the two or more sub-transactions. The method includes receiving transaction input used to indicate conditional execution of the multi-leg transaction. Prior to execution of the multi-leg transaction and in substantially real time, the method includes determining whether each of the two or more sub-transactions in the coupled group is authorized. In response to any of the two or more sub-transactions being unauthorized, the method includes preventing execution of the multi-leg transaction. In response to authorization of each of the two or more sub-transactions, the method includes executing the multi-leg transaction non-sequentially.
System and method for managing gift credits
A system transfers money to a recipient's payment card account, without requiring an additional payment card or without acquiring a recipient's payment card or account information. A recipient registers a payment account with a service provider. A system receives an identification, generated from an entity such as a business or a person, of the recipient and information associated with an electronic notice to be transmitted to a device associated with the recipient. The system transmits the notice (advertisement or offer) to the device, the notice being associated with the recipient payment account and being transmitted prior to the recipient buying product or service associated with the notice using the recipient payment account. The notice can be associated with a network merchant category or network merchant ID for managing a gift credit identified in the notice. The system receives an indication of a purchase associated with the notice and completed using the recipient payment account and applies the gift credit.
