At a future time and place, not necessarily pre-determined, the recipient provides the gift proxy to the seller, the seller authenticates the gift proxy, and the recipient receives the gift from the seller. A centralized and networked order management system monitors the gift tokens. The system can be online and/or store oriented, and can be used to transact in goods and/or services other than gifts.

A financial transaction corresponding to the issuer of the gift card is performed on the digital payment account. The value of a first gift card from a first issuer of a first digital payment account is exchanged with the value of a second gift card from a second issuer of a second digital payment account.

The gift message includes the digital identifier of the purchased item, includes the identifier of the beneficiary, and indicates that the beneficiary has used credit from the gift card account to purchase the purchased item.

Integrating mobile payment application with other mobile applications while preventing security exposures

A method, system and computer program product for integrating a mobile payment application with other mobile applications while preventing security exposures. A set of application programming interfaces of mobile applications that may possibly be utilized by a pass created by a mobile payment application is generated in response to receiving an indication that the pass was created. A pass, as used herein, refers to a form of mobile payment, such as a gift card. A selection of these application programming interfaces may then be received to interact with the created pass. In this manner, the existing mobile applications are seamlessly integrated with the features of passes. Furthermore, a virtual container is created for the created pass and the selected application programming interfaces to interface with the created pass. By creating such a container, the data to be exposed to the application layer can be controlled.

Methods and systems for awarding non-fungible tokens to users using smart contracts

In embodiments of the present invention, methods are provided for executing a smart contract that facilitates electronic transfer of non-fungible tokens to a user according to a recipe. Each respective non-fungible token may be cryptographically linked with a digital representation of a respective asset that can be won by the user. A recipe may define a respective probability that the respective non-fungible token is awarded to the user and a manner by which the respective non-fungible token is awarded to the user. A smart contract may be generated using a random number and one of the non-fungible tokens selected based on the random number and the recipe and transferred to a digital wallet of the user.

There is provided a stored value card validation system. The system includes a stored value card having a plurality of activation states including an activated state where the card can be utilised in a purchase transaction and an unactivated state where the card cannot be utilised in a purchase transaction. The stored value card includes a single unique encrypted token, along with a predefined card value in the form of a monetary amount and a card identifier which are both contained in the encrypted token. The system also includes a token reader for retrieving the encrypted token from the stored value card. Further, the system includes a token validator in communication with the token reader for receiving the encrypted token and using the encrypted token to validate the predefined card value and the card identifier. The token validator includes a plurality of databases for storing card value information and card identifier information, wherein the predefined card value and the card identifier are each validated based on the card value information and card identifier information, most notably, when the stored value card is in the unactivated state.
