Tab for a venue
Methods, computer program products, and systems for tabs for a venue. A customer device can create a tab including a list of one or more goods or services to purchase. The customer device can associate the tab with a venue where multiple kiosks of a merchant or multiple merchants are located. The customer device can be carried to a first kiosk, or first merchant, to purchase a first item, and then to a second kiosk, or second merchant, to purchase a second item. The tab can remain open for as long as the customer device is located within the venue. The open tab allows a user to purchase multiple items at various locations and pay for all the items purchased in a single payment. The customer device can close the tab upon receiving a user request or upon detecting that the customer device leaves the venue.
Method, medium, and system for enabling gift card transactions
One variation of the first method includes: receiving a first gift order from a first sender through a social networking system, the first gift order specifying a recipient, a first merchant, and a first monetary value redeemable through the first merchant; issuing a tangible gift card to the recipient, the gift card linked to a gift account, of the recipient, within the social networking system; receiving a second gift order from a second sender through the social networking system, the second gift order specifying the recipient, a second merchant, and a second monetary value redeemable through the second merchant; linking the first and second monetary values to the gift account; and, in response to a first purchase from the first merchant with the gift card, publishing a detail of the first purchase to a feed within the social networking system in accordance with a privacy setting of the recipient.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR VALIDATING AN INTERACTION
Methods and systems for validating an interaction between a user and a service provider system are disclosed. Electronically-stored credential data for the user are retrieved (100), and a communication link (252, 223, 207) is established (102) between a user device and a service provider system. Via the communication link the retrieved user credential data is transferred (104) from the user device to the provider system, and the transferred user credential data is used (106) to validate that the user can access a service provided by the service provider system. The validation of the interaction, following receipt of the user credential data, may include processing the interaction.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR ENHANCED AUTHORIZATION OF PREPAID CARDS
A computer-implemented method for enhancing authorization of prepaid payment cards is provided. The method is implemented using an authorization computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes storing a plurality of transaction histories associated with a plurality of prepaid payment cards, receiving an authorization request for a payment transaction between a cardholder and an originating merchant initiated using a prepaid payment card, determining a transaction history associated with the prepaid payment card based on the plurality of transaction histories, calculating a prepaid risk score for the payment transaction based on the authorization request and the determined transaction history, and transmitting the prepaid risk score to the originating merchant.
Motion analysis device, motion analysis system, motion analysis method, program, and recording medium
A motion analysis device that obtains a relation between a movement direction of a ball hitting surface of an exercise tool at a time of starting a swing and a posture of the ball hitting surface at the time of impact during the swing by using output of an inertial sensor.
System and Method for Managing Gift Credits
A system transfers money to a recipient's payment card account, without requiring an additional payment card or without acquiring a recipient's payment card or account information. A recipient registers a payment account with a service provider. A system receives an identification, generated from an entity such as a business or a person, of the recipient and information associated with an electronic notice to be transmitted to a device associated with the recipient. The system transmits the notice (advertisement or offer) to the device, the notice being associated with the recipient payment account and being transmitted prior to the recipient buying product or service associated with the notice using the recipient payment account. The notice can be associated with a network merchant category or network merchant ID for managing a gift credit identified in the notice. The system receives an indication of a purchase associated with the notice and completed using the recipient payment account and applies the gift credit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING INSTANT REBATES TO CUSTOMERS
Systems and methods for associating rebate instances with rebate fulfillment comprising receiving a setup control signal; generating a one or more programs from the one or more programs; selecting one of the one or more programs as a rebate instance; and associating the rebate instance with a rebate fulfillment as an association. The method and the system may further utilize activation and login signals, as well as storing the association for further association and activation.
Distribution and enablement of reloadable prepaid cards in transit
Techniques for concurrent distribution of reloadable prepaid cards and enablement of the reloadable prepaid cards for use at access control points of a transit system. Techniques of enabling of the reloadable prepaid cards for use at access control points of the transit system can include obtaining user information, payment, and communicating card information to a card issuer for activation of the first reloadable prepaid card. A transit user account for managing transactional information of the user of the transit system is also created, reloadable prepaid card is enabled for use as fare media at access control points of the transit system. Thus, once distributed, the prepaid reloadable cards may be used as fare media in the transit system as payment for transit fare, as well as for purchases at locations outside the transit system.
Personalized gift cards
Techniques and arrangements for personalizing gift cards based, in part, on exchanging personalized messages between a customer that buys a gift card and a customer that receives and uses the gift card. A point-of-sale (POS) device of a merchant may receive a personalized message from the customer buying the gift card at the time of the purchase. The POS device may then present the personalized message to the customer receiving the gift card when the customer uses the gift card to satisfy a cost of a transaction between the merchant and the customer. During or after the transaction, the POS device may further receive feedback from the recipient customer of the gift card. The POS device may then send the feedback to the customer that originally bought the gift card.
GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE WITH DYNAMICALLY CHANGING PROXIMITY-BASED TILES
A graphical user interface (GUI) has dynamically changing user-selectable graphical tiles that automatically reorder in closest-to-farthest order based on a real-time location of an electronic computing device having a location tracking device. Physical entities near the device are displayed on the GUI. As the location of the device changes, the list dynamically changes in real time by reordering display of the tiles on the GUI so that a closest of the physical entities is displayed topmost. A points balance associated with a user of the electronic computing device is displayed. A window is displayed in response to triggering events. The user can select one of the tiles, or the device can come within a minimum threshold distance. In response to a selection or user input, an exchange value is received from an external computer server corresponding to a number of points. An electronic transaction is facilitated using the exchanged points.
