System and Method for Providing Emergency Prepaid Card
Systems and methods are provided for providing and funding an emergency prepaid card. According to one aspect, a request for emergency funds is received by a payment network from a customer. The customer's identity is verified, a transaction to fund an emergency account is authorized, an issue code is generated, and the issue code is provided to the customer. The issue code and an emergency prepaid card number are provided to an activator of the prepaid card, and the issue code is validated. The emergency account is funded and associated with the card number, and the emergency prepaid card number is activated.
Systems and methods for performing funds freeze and/or funds seizure with respect to prepaid payment cards
Systems, mechanisms and processes are provided to allow law-enforcement officials, when encountering the potential use of prepaid payment cards in the furtherance of a crime or in relation to criminal activities, to (1) attempt to check the balances on such prepaid payment cards, including the ability to perform aggregate balance checks on a group of such prepaid cards, (2) attempt to freeze the funds on such prepaid payment cards, and/or (3) attempt to seize the funds on such prepaid payment cards.
System and method for enabling a user to select a securable device throughout multiple securable device stations
A system and method of provisioning a securable device may include providing a plurality of securable device stations, each securable device station including (i) a controller and (ii) a set of securable devices in local communication with the controller, the controller being configured to enable a user to initiate access to a securable device from a set of securable devices. In response to a first controller of a first securable device station receiving (i) an access indicia and (ii) rental parameter that enables the user to access a securable device located in at least two of the securable device stations from a user, the first controller may communicate the access indicia and rental parameter to a network address that enables, by a second controller, the user to access a securable device at the second securable device station as provided by the rental parameter.
Method and system for authorizing access to goods and/or services and corresponding access voucher
A method for authorizing access to goods and services, including issuing an access voucher by a voucher issuing device, the access voucher having identification of the goods and services and an identification of the point of sale, presenting the access voucher to a reading device of the point of sale, transferring the identification of the goods and services and the identification of the point of sale by the reading device to a processing device of the point of sale, the processing device having access to a database with stored identification of goods and services and to a database with stored identification of the point of sale, comparing the transferred identification of goods and services and the transferred identification of the point of sale by the processing device with the stored identification of the goods and services and the stored identification of the point of sale, and authorizing access to the goods if the identification matches.
Adaptive non-real-time traffic control method and terminal for same
A terminal device includes: a signal generator to generate a traffic request signal; a policy manager to transmit a policy request signal to a policy provider, and to receive a policy answer signal corresponding to the policy request signal; a traffic transceiver to perform a download of a traffic answer signal corresponding to the traffic request signal from a content provider via a path network; a terminal network detector to detect a network status of the path network based on the policy answer signal; and a traffic control processor, at a time of the download, to determine a traffic control status based on the network status, and control the download based on the traffic control status.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FUEL ISLAND AUTHORIZATION FOR TRUCKING INDUSTRY USING PROXIMITY SENSORS
A fuel authorization program based on equipping fuel station, fuel pumps, and vehicles with components to enable automatic fuel authorization for enrolled vehicles. The program includes fuel pumps including a pump transmitting sensor that automatically emits a pump ID. As a vehicle pulls in next to the pump a vehicle coupling receiving sensor detects the pump ID signal and a proximity link is created. The vehicle sensor passes the pump ID via hardwire or Bluetooth to vehicle fuel authorization processor (which can be part of a telematics device). The vehicle processor transmits the pump ID (and any fuel authorization credentials needed, such as a PIN or VIN) via WI-FI to a Station processor for fuel vendor authorization. If approved, the pump is enabled. As the vehicle moves away the coupling sensor link is broken and the vehicle transmits a disconnect message via Wi-Fi and the pump is disabled.
MULTI-LEG TRANSACTION PROCESSING
An embodiment includes a method of multi-leg transaction processing. The method includes receiving from a merchant server, a designation of two or more sub-transactions of a pending multi-leg transaction as a coupled group. The execution of any of the two or more sub-transactions in the coupled group is dependent on prior authorization of each of the two or more sub-transactions. The method includes receiving transaction input used to indicate conditional execution of the multi-leg transaction. Prior to execution of the multi-leg transaction and in substantially real time, the method includes determining whether each of the two or more sub-transactions in the coupled group is authorized. In response to any of the two or more sub-transactions being unauthorized, the method includes preventing execution of the multi-leg transaction. In response to authorization of each of the two or more sub-transactions, the method includes executing the multi-leg transaction non-sequentially.
Integrated Payment, Insurance, and Loyalty Platform Apparatuses, Methods, and Systems
A system for integrating payment, insurance, and loyalty program services into a single platform is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of processors interfacing with a plurality of memory units; a channels module configured to run on one or more processors and to interface with a plurality of customer devices through a network; an interaction management module configured to run on the one or more processors and interface with the channels module to provide insurance products and services from an insurance provider to customers using the plurality of customer devices; a consumer management module configured to run on the processor and interface with the channels module and interaction management module, wherein the consumer management module includes a loyalty card functionality configured to store value for a customer and apply that value to interactions with the insurance provider through an application running on the customer device.
Stored-value card management method and system
A computerized system for activating, issuing and otherwise managing transactions and activities pertaining to stored-value cards over a communications network. A central information database is provided for storing stored-value cardholder and card purchaser information received directly from respective stored-value cardholders and card purchasers PCs through a universal central processor via respective communication gateways. The central processor is coupled for communication realtime to multiple unaffiliated stored-value card processing networks normally operated by respective hosts. Each network includes a stored-value card processor coupled to a stored-value card database and multiple respective merchant communication devices. The central processor is programmed for managing the activation and issuance of transactions and activities for the stored-value card through the respective unaffiliated networks. The universal central processor is programmed to issue the stored-value cards directly to the cardholder or card purchaser by download over respective communication gateways. The universal central processor is further programmed for reporting the card activations, issuances, transactions and activities to the cardholders and the merchants thereby providing a universal management system.
