SYSTEMS, METHODS, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA FOR AGE VERIFICATION
Systems, methods, apparatus, and computer-readable storage media are described which respond to a request to verify the age of a cardholder, wherein said response is based on biometric information of the cardholder.
Systems and Methods for Facilitating Event Access Through Payment Accounts
Exemplary systems and methods for linking access credentials with payment accounts and facilitating access to events based on associations between the payment accounts and the events are disclosed. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, an authorization request for purchasing access to an event where the authorization request includes event content, ticket content, and payment content, and where the authorization request is associated with a merchant. The method also includes determining, at the computing device, whether the merchant and/or the event are registered, and when the merchant and the event are registered, storing, in memory of the computing device, a link between a payment account identified in the payment content and the event, whereby the link is able to be retrieved, by the merchant, via a subsequent authorization request, to indicate access to the event.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device that is capable of multimodal biometric authentication and a method of controlling the electronic device.
DYNAMICALLY LINKING MACHINE-READABLE CODES TO DIGITAL ACCOUNTS FOR LOADING OF APPLICATION DATA
There are provided systems and methods for dynamically linking machine-readable codes to digital accounts for loading of application data. A user may engage in a transaction with another user, such as a purchase of goods, services, or other items a merchant using a physical payment card. A machine-readable code may be provided on the payment card, where the machine-readable code may be dynamically linked to underlying data with an online transaction processor. The user may provide the payment card to another user that may capture the machine-readable code on the payment card. The other user's device may then utilize the machine-readable code with the online transaction processor to perform an account lookup using database information dynamically linked to the machine-readable code. Thereafter, the other user's device may automatically load account data for the account without having the user enter the account's identifier.
SMART CARD NFC SECURE MONEY TRANSFER
A secure method of real time money transferring between account holders utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies, dynamic transaction cards, and a mobile application to facilitate a seamless mobile transfer of funds. The dynamic transaction card of the customer requesting to make the transfer of funds may be placed in contact with the second recipient dynamic transaction card of the customer receiving the funds transfer to establish an NFC connection. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may receive, via the NFC antenna on the card, the recipient customer account information stored on a passive NFC tag. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may transmit the recipient account information to a mobile application, which may transmit the recipient account information to an account provider system for facilitating the funds transfer.
Secure transactions for in-flight entertainment systems
Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for performing secure transactions in an aircraft are disclosed. Embodiments of the disclosed technology enable low cost carriers to provide payment verification for on-board purchases via the in-flight entertainment system. An exemplary method for performing secure transactions in an aircraft includes transmitting, by a user device in the aircraft using a wireless protocol, a first authentication factor and a request for one or more on-board services; receiving, from an on-board transceiver using the wireless protocol, an authentication token (a) comprising a one-time code and (b) encrypted using an asymmetric cryptographic algorithm; transmitting, using the asymmetric cryptographic algorithm, a second authentication factor comprising (a) the authentication token and (b) a text message transmitted from the user device; and receiving a confirmation of a delivery of the one or more on-board services.
Department of defense transaction accounts
Disclosed are various approaches for issuing Department of Defense (DoD) transaction accounts and approving payments with the DoD transaction accounts. A first computing device receives a request from a second computing device for a Department of Defense (DoD) transaction account, the request comprising a DoD identifier. The first computing device then verifies the DoD identifier and issues a new DoD transaction account associated with the DoD identifier in response.
Markers having non-cashable value
A computer-based casino gaming system includes a ticket server and a marker server. The ticket server controls generation and redemption of gaming vouchers used for play at gaming machine/tables. The marker server controls granting of non-cashable markers having non-cashable value to casino patrons. When the marker server determines to grant a non-cashable marker requested by a patron, the ticket server generates a first gaming voucher representing a first monetary value corresponding to the non-cashable value. When the patron uses the first gaming voucher for play at a gaming machine/table, the ticket server redeems the first gaming voucher and transmits a message identifying playing credit corresponding to the first monetary value represented by the first gaming voucher and the patron is enabled to play at the gaming machine/table using the identified playing credit. The system ensures that the non-cashable marker is paid back before redeeming any cashable value to the patron.
WEARABLE DEVICE FOR EVENT ACCESS, PAYMENT FOR OFFLINE TRANSACTIONS AT THE EVENT, AND VISUAL LIGHT DISPLAY
A wearable device receives ticket information for an event and information indicating a quantity of funds allocated from an account, associated with a user of a user device, to the wearable device, and stores the ticket information and the information indicating the quantity of funds. The wearable device utilizes a wireless component to pair the wearable device and the user device, and provides, to the user device and via the wireless component, the ticket information and information indicating access privileges for the event. The wearable device generates a token for a PoS device for a charge incurred at the event during an offline transaction with the PoS device, and provides, via a NFC component, the token to the PoS device. The wearable device provides, to the user device and via the wireless component, information indicating that that the token was provided to the PoS device.
System and method for tiered pricing for scarce commodities
A system and method for tiered pricing for any scarce commodity, such as petroleum products or food stuffs, may be used to ration the scarce commodity. The system and method may use a dual currency transaction system to manage the rationing. In the use case for gas or oil as the scarce commodity, the dual currency system and method and the tiered pricing may also reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere by charging both a monetary price and a carbon price for a product or service wherein the carbon price for each purchasable item (good or service) may correspond to a number of Kg of Co2 emitted by the manufacture/sale/use of the purchasable item.
