Systems and methods for using a transaction to collect additional transaction information
Disclosed are systems and methods for using a transaction to collect additional transaction information. The method may include: receiving transaction information indicating that a transaction of one or more products and/or services has been made by a user from a merchant; when the transaction information is received, scanning a user e-mail account to identify a receipt for the transaction within an e-mail of the user e-mail account, wherein the receipt is indicative of a transaction price; when the receipt for the transaction is identified: extracting information of the one or more products and/or services from the receipt; and based on the extracted information, automatically generating and submitting a price adjustment claim for the one or more products and/or services when a price lower than the transaction price is found; and when the receipt for the transaction cannot be identified: automatically submitting information about a missing receipt to a fraud system.
Gift Card With Balance Indicator Panels
A gift card includes a card body having a retailer's or credit card company name and logo, a pre-printed gift card account balance representing the balance on the card when initially purchased, and a user-fillable Card Balance data field which can be completed using an ordinary pencil or pen. The gift card also may be printed with one or more prompts, such as a graphic or written instruction, to provide a user with sufficient instruction to use the re-writable functionality of the present invention, and may include dollar and cents indicators to facilitate a user to write the current and updated balance clearly and accurately.
Multi-function smart tokenizing electronic payment device
An embodiment includes a multi-function electronic device capable of generating a programmed magnetic field of alternating polarity based on a speed of a card swipe, and methods for constructing the device for the purpose of emulating a standard credit card. An apparatus is described to allow the device to emulate behavior of a credit card when used in electronic credit card readers. Additionally, methods are described to allow user control of the device for the purpose of authorizing or controlling use of the device in the application of credit, debit and cash transactions, including cryptocurrency and device-to-device transactions. Methods are also described for generating a limited-duration payment number when performing a transaction for the purpose of creating a limited-use payment number, which is limited in scope of use to a predetermined number of authorized transactions. Furthermore the device may interact with other similar devices in proximity for the purpose of funds or credit/debit transfers.
Credit card with chromogenic features
A credit card with an obscurable account identifier. The credit card further comprises a substrate defining a first surface with a chromogenic feature wherein the chromogenic feature is capable of changing from a first state and a second state based on an activating trigger. In the first state, the chromogenic feature appears with a first optical property that obscures the account identifier, and in the second state, the chromogenic feature appears with a second optical property that reveals the account identifier.

IN-STORE CARD ACTIVATION
A user having an account with a payment provider receives an unregistered payment card that is associated with the payment provider, and that includes a magnetic strip encoded with a number unique to the card and a machine readable code such as a QR/barcode embossed thereon. The user may then open an application on the user's mobile device to capture the number associated with the card by, for example, scanning the QR/barcode, capturing an image of the number, speaking the number into the device, or manually entering the number into the user's device. The user may also authenticate with the payment provider by entering login credentials. The user may then confirm a request to link the number of the card with the user's payment provider account, which activates and links the card to the user account so that the user can immediately use the card for purchases.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATIONS PAYMENT
A card detection subsystem for control of a payment card reader, where the payment card reader comprises a magnetic stripe reader (MSR), an integrated circuit card (ICC) reader, and a near field communications (NFC) reader, and the NFC reader comprises an antenna. The card detection subsystem includes a processor, a storage, and one or more sensors. The one or more sensors detect a payment card and the antenna is either turned on or turned off based on the detection of the payment card.
Point of sale device with cradle for mobile computing device
A point of sale (POS) device includes a nest portion and a cradle portion. The nest portion includes one or more payment card or near field communication (NFC) readers. The cradle portion couples to differently-sized interchangeable frames, which in turn help secure a mobile computing device to the cradle portion of the POS device. The mobile computing device is connected via a connector to the rest of the POS device. Payment card information read by the readers is conveyed to the mobile computing device over the connector for processing. The POS device may also include tamper detection circuitry.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COMMUNICATING WITH A MAGNETIC READER HEAD
A device and method for waveform transmission of transaction card data to a merchant point-of-sale device are provided. The device includes a memory device for storing data, a processor, and a transmitter. The device is programmed to receive transaction card data that mimics data stored within a magnetic stripe associated with a transaction card, convert the transaction card data to a first data file for storage within the memory device, transmit the first data file to the transmitter, and transmit a first waveform from the transmitter to the POS device, wherein the first waveform includes changes in a magnetic field that represent the transaction card data.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THIRD PARTY SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT OF END DEVICE PROFILES
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a third party subscription management of end device profiles service is provided. The service may include obtaining a profile for a card of an end device from a third party device in which the profile includes a temporary element. For example, the temporary element may be a temporary keyset or a temporary USIM. During initial connectivity and activation with a core network, the card logic may obtain and update the profile with a permanent element for registration and activation procedures with the core network. In this way, security exposure with a third party device relating to a profile may be eliminated or minimized.
