TRANSACTION MEDIATION METHOD
Systems and methods for processing transactions using a digital payment platform.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PAYMENT PROCESSING
A system and a method for processing a payment by using a card reader device is provided. The method includes: initiating, by a processor, a communication with a server that is associated with a financial institution via an Internet connection; receiving, from the server, a first payment processing application that is associated with the financial institution; receiving, from the card reader device, payment information that relates to a proposed transaction; using the first payment processing application to determine whether to authorize the proposed transaction based on the received payment information; displaying either a confirmation message indicating that the proposed transaction is authorized or a rejection message indicating that the proposed transaction is not authorized; and transmitting a result of the determination to the server.
System and methods for enhanced authorization of prepaid cards
A computer-implemented method for enhancing authorization of prepaid payment cards is provided. The method is implemented using an authorization computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes storing a plurality of transaction histories associated with a plurality of prepaid payment cards, receiving an authorization request for a payment transaction between a cardholder and an originating merchant initiated using a prepaid payment card, determining a transaction history associated with the prepaid payment card based on the plurality of transaction histories, calculating a prepaid risk score for the payment transaction based on the authorization request and the determined transaction history, and transmitting the prepaid risk score to the originating merchant.
GIFT CARD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A gift card management system may include a plurality of software modules configured to facilitate the efficient, secure purchase and resale of gift cards, as well as provide comprehensive tracking of gift card status throughout the process. In some examples, the gift card management system may include risk level analysis, e.g., based on historical data. This risk level analysis may facilitate risk-related actions (e.g., automatic transaction prevention) and dynamic risk level indication in a user interface for alerting users.
Transaction mediation method
Systems and methods for processing transactions using a digital payment platform.
Mechanism to allow the use of disposable cards on a system designed to accept cards conforming to the standards of the global payments industry
At a terminal assembly associated with a physical access point, payment device data is obtained from a reduced-functionality payment device, and the data is identified as emanating from such a device. In response, the payment device data emanating from the reduced-functionality payment device is converted into an authorization request or an access request, of a format consistent with full-functionality payment devices. The authorization request or access request is dispatched into a payment infrastructure which is configured to handle same, but is not configured to handle the reduced-functionality payment device.
Processing financial products
Financing obtained from a lender may be processed by a retailer in a manner similar to a credit card. For example, transaction data associated with a transaction to acquire one or more items from the retailer may be entered at a point of sale terminal of the retailer. A request may be sent for a temporary shopping pass associated with an account of a consumer at the lender. The temporary shopping pass may be used as a virtual payment instrument to access financing (e.g., a loan, a lease, or a credit) provided by the lender. After receiving the temporary shopping pass, the shopping pass data included in the temporary shopping pass, such as a one-time card number, may be entered into the point of sale terminal. The transaction may be completed by processing the shopping pass data as a credit card type tender using the point of sale terminal.
Systems and methods for transferring balances
A positive balance on a first financial account associated with a prepaid card are transferrable to a second financial account associated with a third party. In some embodiments, an instruction to transfer a portion of the first financial account to the second financial account is received. The instruction is associated with one or more triggering events. The one or more triggering events are associated with an inactive amount of time associated with the prepaid card, an expiration date associated with the prepaid card, and/or a balance of the first financial account associated with the prepaid card. A first triggering event of the one or more triggering events is detected. Upon detection of the first triggering event, the portion of the first financial account is transferred to the second financial account. Aspects of the disclosure enable a processing system to identify one or more opportunities to liquidate and/or fund financial accounts in an organized, resource-efficient, and timely manner.
Method and device for communicating transactional data
A method for detecting fraudulent communications receives gift card data associated with a gift card offered for sale by a customer. The method receives customer information about the customer associated with an identity document of the customer and associates the gift card data with the customer information. The method determines a balance of the gift card at an initial point in time based on the gift card data. The method determines the balance of the gift card at a subsequent point in time. The method compares the balance of the gift card at the initial point in time to the balance of the gift card at the subsequent point in time. The method associates a fraud alert with the customer information if the balance of the gift card at the initial point in time is different than the balance of the gift card at the subsequent point in time.
Systems and methods for ghost card creation via a browser extension
Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for identifying that a user is accessing a retailer or service provider website and automatically enabling an interactive window that includes personalized user information. The system can detect that the user is accessing a payment webpage associated with the website, and, in response, generate a selectable list of payment instruments associated with the user. When the user selects a payment instrument, the system can create an electronic ghost card linked to the payment instrument and the electronic ghost card information can be input into the payment webpage.
