SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING AN ACCOUNT
An account is managed using information read from a dual frequency transponder. Information stored on the dual frequency transponder can be read by a NFC-enabled device and by a UHF RFID reader. The information links, corresponds, or otherwise provides access to account information stored at a remote server. For example, a NFC-enabled device can read the information from the dual frequency transponder and use that information to enable instant and on-the-spot recharging of a toll account. In addition, a UHF RFID toll reader can scan information from the dual frequency transponder and use that information to debit toll charges from the correct toll account. The dual frequency transponder can be embedded in a license plate and read using a reader placed in the road. Additionally, the transponder can be configured to function at the correct frequency only when a valid vehicle registration sticker is applied to the license plate.
AUTOMATIC LOCATION-BASED TRANSACTION SERVICE TRIGGER
A computer system can implement a network transaction service by monitoring location data from a computing device of a user to confirm that the user is located at a merchant location, receiving transaction data from a point-of-sale terminal of the merchant location, and confirming that the user has left the merchant location based on the location data. The computer system may then automatically execute a transfer operation to fund the transaction using a shared funding account of the network transaction service such that no direct payment interaction is made between the user and the merchant.
Recharging prepaid accounts based on charging detail records within a telecommunications network
Systems and methods are described herein for recharging prepaid accounts within a telecommunications provider, such as a network carrier, using information provided by postpaid account subscribers. For example, the systems and methods facilitate the receipt of instructions from mobile devices associated with postpaid accounts. Upon receipt of the messages, the systems and methods (such as systems within a charging system of the network carrier or provider) identify intended or recipient mobile devices associated with prepaid accounts. Once identified, the systems and methods recharge the prepaid accounts, based on the instructions received from the postpaid account mobile devices.
Generating a sensory indication
A system and method is provided for generating a sensory indication on a transaction card, whereby a user is rewarded with a visual, audial, haptic, or olfactory experience. The method comprises executing a purchase transaction on the card, the transaction relating to an event, charging a power source on the card, receiving an input signal by the card, the signal. indicating an output indication relevant to the event, and generating an output signal using power from the power source, based on the input signal. The card comprises a security component enabling a purchase relating to an event, a power source receiving charging energy at the time of the purchase, an input component receiving an input signal comprising information specifying a desired indication relevant to the event, an output component for generating the desired indication, one or more memories storing instructions and one or more processors executing the instructions to perform the method.
S/M for providing, reloading, and redeeming stored value cards used in transit applications
The invention is directed to systems and methods of conducting transactions associated with a transit card. A method of conducting transactions may be conducted between a processor and a transit processor. Steps may include receiving a redemption request and determining if it is a pre-authorization request or a redemption; if the redemption request is a pre-authorization request, determining if the account is authorized for a particular transit type. If the account is authorized, communicating approval to the transit processor. If the account is not authorized communicating denial. If the redemption request is a redemption: determining if account value is sufficient to pay the redemption amount; if not, denying and if so approving the transaction and deducting the amount, and determining if the account value is below a pre-determined threshold for a particular transit types, and if so, updating the status of the account at a data store.
Systems and methods for casino level player account management
Systems and methods are disclosed for managing a casino level player account associated with a gaming environment. The casino level player account is associated with a player identifier with a financial account. The financial account can holds funds that are accessible through the player's use of a payment vehicle. Funds held within the casino level player account can be used for wagering.
Portable system for updating transaction information on contactless chips
A mobile system for transitional updating of information in contactless chips, wherein allowing the chip users to perform transactional operations when in transit, using a smartphone, tablet, notebook, smartwatch or any other device capable of run mobile applications, U includes a user request via mobile application; authentication on a network server; and authentication with an issuer key. It is an alternative for contactless chips users to perform transactional operations while in transit using a smartphone, tablet or any other device capable of running mobile applications. It allows the user complete autonomy in the process of updating or consulting the contents of their chip, eliminating their dependence on the network of fixed terminals.
WEARABLE DEVICE FOR EVENT ACCESS, PAYMENT FOR OFFLINE TRANSACTIONS AT THE EVENT, AND VISUAL LIGHT DISPLAY
A wearable device receives ticket information for an event and information indicating a quantity of funds allocated from an account, associated with a user of a user device, to the wearable device, and stores the ticket information and the information indicating the quantity of funds. The wearable device utilizes a wireless component to pair the wearable device and the user device, and provides, to the user device and via the wireless component, the ticket information and information indicating access privileges for the event. The wearable device generates a token for a PoS device for a charge incurred at the event during an offline transaction with the PoS device, and provides, via a NFC component, the token to the PoS device. The wearable device provides, to the user device and via the wireless component, information indicating that that the token was provided to the PoS device.
PORTABLE DEVICE LOADING MECHANISM FOR ACCOUNT ACCESS
Described herein are a system and techniques for updating balance information for a disbursement module on a portable device using a transaction module on that same portable device. In some embodiments, each of the transaction module and the disbursement module may be associated with a different transaction processing system. A client device may be used to interact with the transaction module of the portable device via a communication element. In some embodiments, the client device may be configured to receive an account identifier from the transaction module, generate and transmit an authorization request message to an authorization entity, and upon receiving authorization from the authorization entity, cause the transaction module on the portable device to update a balance associated with the disbursement module.
General purpose re-loadable card aggregation implementation
A method and apparatus is taught wherein a light smartcard may be utilized to make transactions so that a user only has to carry one card and not be encumbered with the multiple cards that now have to deal with. This is accomplished with a third party API service provider. This could also be thought of your own personal cloud that carries only your cards and only your information including virtual currencies as well. Now you only have to carry one and one card only. You can spend from any of your other accounts through this one card.
