Automated application workflows based on signal detection

Techniques are described for automatically presenting workflow(s) in an application based at least partly on detected signal(s). A radio-frequency signal may be emitted from a transceiver and received by a transceiver of a user device when the transceiver is in proximity to the device. In response, an application including functionality to activate a payment card can launch.

Interface-Specific Account Identifiers

An access management system comprises one or more databases and one or more computers. The one or more databases may store access data, accessor data, restriction data, and/or biometric data. The one or more computers may comprise an account identifier management computer, an authorization server computer, and/or an account management server computer. The account identifier management computer may generate account identifiers for physical or virtual cards. The cards may have interface-specific account identifiers. The authorization server computer may be communicatively coupled to an account access system that is used to obtain account identifiers as input. The authorization server computer may apply one or more restrictions to an account identifier. The account identifier management server computer may enable monitoring account activity and/or generate ephemeral phone numbers that can be used to authenticate callers to call recipients.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ERROR DETECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF A STORAGE MEDIUM
20220405761 · 2022-12-22 ·

A system for error detection and notification that a storage medium of a first card is defective comprises an apparatus and a first server. The apparatus is configured to receive the storage medium of the first card. The apparatus comprises a first processor configured to receive data from the storage medium as the storage medium is inserted into the apparatus, wherein the received data is encoded into the storage medium. The first processor is configured to determine that the received data is incomplete and display a first output requesting authorization to issue a second card. The first processor is configured to transmit data to a communication network, wherein the transmitted data comprises user input authorizing issuance of the second card and requested data associated with the first card. The first server is configured to verify issuance of the second card, wherein the first server is communicatively coupled to the apparatus.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMAGE ANALYSIS FOR PHYSICAL DEFECT DETECTION OF A STORAGE MEDIUM

A system for image analysis for physical defect detection of a storage medium of a first card that comprises an apparatus configured to receive the storage medium of the first card and a first server configured to verify issuance of a second card. The apparatus comprises an optical sensor comprising a light transmitter, a receiver, and a first processor. The optical sensor is configured to produce a light to be directed to the storage medium and to determine that the storage medium comprises a physical defect with the first processor based at least in part upon processed electronic signals. The apparatus further comprises a second processor configured to display outputs requesting authorization to issue the second card. The first server is configured to verify issuance of the second card, wherein the first server is communicatively coupled to the apparatus.

Systems and methods for providing, reloading, and redeeming stored value cards used in transit applications

The invention is directed to systems and methods of conducting transactions associated with a transit card. A method of conducting transactions may be conducted between a processor and a transit processor. Steps may include receiving a redemption request and determining if it is a pre-authorization request or a redemption; if the redemption request is a pre-authorization request, determining if the account is authorized for a particular transit type. If the account is authorized, communicating approval to the transit processor. If the account is not authorized communicating denial. If the redemption request is a redemption: determining if account value is sufficient to pay the redemption amount; if not, denying and if so approving the transaction and deducting the amount, and determining if the account value is below a pre-determined threshold for a particular transit types, and if so, updating the status of the account at a data store.

Systems and methods for real-time virtual gift card purchasing

A computer-implemented method for allowing purchase of virtual gift cards includes receiving a communication indicating a gift card type and specifying a value amount. Responsive to the communication, a purchase of a virtual gift card of that type and storing that value amount is processed. This processing includes processing a payment for the specified value amount. Further, a gift card merchant application programming interface (API) capable of processing a purchase of a virtual gift card of the indicated gift card type is identified from amongst a set of such APIs. That API is used to initiate purchase of the virtual gift card. After the purchase is processed, an indication of the purchased virtual gift card is sent to a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device uses the indication to configure itself to allow transactions using the purchased virtual gift card to be initiated. Fraud detection may also be performed.

VIRTUAL GIFT CARDS WITH INSTANT DELIVERY AND SECURED REMOTE REDEMPTION

The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for an improved method and system for providing payment card management and secured remote redemption without disclosure of a full card number. In one example method, a cloud service receives a notification from a merchant associated with a new payment card activation, the notification including a messaging identifier corresponding to an account associated with the payment card and its value. The cloud service can then associate, in an account associated with the messaging identifier, the new payment card and the messaging identifier. The new payment card is then assigned the value of the new payment card, and the cloud service can generate a notification message specific to the account associated with the messaging identifier, and can transmit the notification to a device associated with the messaging identifier of the account.

Methods and systems for integrating a loyalty program with a payment card

Embodiments provide a method of integrating a loyalty program with a payment card of a customer. In some implementations, the method includes sending, by a merchant terminal, a payment transaction request to a server system associated with a payment network. The payment transaction request includes a payment transaction amount to be paid to a merchant account from an issuer account of the customer and a consumer identifier linked to the loyalty program associated with the merchant loyalty card. The method includes receiving a notification comprising a payment transaction approval message and a machine-readable script through the payment network. The machine-readable script comprises the consumer identifier and is executable by the merchant terminal. The method further includes storing the consumer identifier associated with the merchant loyalty card with existing customer data in the payment card of the customer by executing the machine-readable script thereby integrating the loyalty program with the payment card.

Touch authentication of multiple users or operating modes for a transaction card

A transaction card receives a first input containing a first touch sequence from a first user and including first touch gestures, determines that the first touch sequence corresponds to a first reference touch sequence associated with the first user, and initiates a first operating mode, associated with the first touch sequence, that is associated with the first user and causes the transaction card to perform a first function. The transaction card receives a second input containing a second touch sequence that is different from the first touch sequence, from a second user and including second touch gestures, and initiates, based on determining that the second touch sequence corresponds to a second reference touch sequence, a second operating mode, associated with the second touch sequence, that is associated with the second user and causes the transaction card to perform a second function that is different from the first function.
