Wait times at ATMs may undermine the utility of these self-service machines. ATMs are configured to provide faster self-service kiosks that allow users to quickly perform common financial transactions. However, it has bees increasing common for users to have to wait on a line to access an ATM. Apparatus and methods are provided for a smart card that stages transactions by capturing the amount, pin and other necessary information on the smart card itself, before the user begins interacting with the ATM. Information captured by the smart card may be transferred to ATM when the smart card is inserted into ATM. The user does not provide the ATM with any additional information after inserted the smart card into the ATM, thereby improving the transaction processing efficiency of the ATM and enhancing user satisfaction.

A system and method is provided to register a user; assign a primary account number (PAN) to the user; create an account; create a unique cipher with keys; link, by a trusted source of identification, the PAN to an attribute of the user and to the account; receive the keys at a user device; remove the keys; generate data by a third-party to request the user to perform a transaction; present the PAN to the third-party; receive a transaction request detail; receive the data at a transaction processor based on a unique identifier of the PAN; identify the user using the unique identifier; authenticate the user; request, by the transaction processor, the device to release a key associated with the transaction request detail; decrypt stored information; and send a response, including the decrypted stored information, from the transaction processor to the third-party, thereby identifying the user.

PERSONALIZATION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FINANCIAL IC CARD HAVING DYNAMIC VERIFICATION CODE
20210342827 · 2021-11-04 ·

A personalization method for a financial IC card having a dynamic verification code, comprising: an upper apparatus organizes second personalization information comprising a second disperse key, and organizes a personalization data packet according to the second personalization information; after the upper apparatus and a personalization device establish a security channel, if the upper apparatus transmits the personalization data packet to the personalization device by means of the security channel, the personalization device writes the second personalization information into a financial IC card; if the upper apparatus transmits a verification request to the personalization device by means of the security channel, the personalization device reads a time window and a dynamic verification code from the financial IC card, returns the time window and the dynamic verification code to the upper apparatus by means of the security channel for verification, receives a verification result returned by the upper apparatus by means of the security channel, and if the verification is successful, reads a personalization state in the financial IC card and saves the personalization state, and returns personalization success information to the upper apparatus by means of the security channel.

Card customization via a gaming console

In some implementations, a device may receive, from the gaming program, account information for a card associated with an account of a user. The device may receive, via a user interface provided by the gaming program, customization information associated with the card, wherein the customization information includes at least one of: one or more features supported by the card, or one or more design elements to be included on the card. The device may generate a virtual card, associated with the card, based on the customization information. The device may cause the virtual card to be available for display and to be used to perform exchanges in the gaming program or other gaming programs. The device may transmit information associated with the customization information to cause the card to be manufactured or printed according to the customization information.

BIOMETRIC PAYMENT CARD ENROLLMENT NOTIFICATION

Provided is a method for enrolling a cardholder of a biometric payment card by using a biometric sensor located on the biometric payment card. Other embodiments disclosed. The method includes receiving biometric information from the biometric sensor, adding the received biometric information to a biometric template for the cardholder, determining whether the biometric information completes a biometric template, and verifying the cardholder of the payment card as being a legitimate user of the payment card. Upon positive verification of the cardholder and positive determination that the biometric template is complete, the method transmits a notification of completed biometric-use authentication enrollment. Other embodiments disclosed.

Computer-based systems and methods involving biometric authentication aspects for handling exceptions, enabling deactivation and/or performing other functionality
11748589 · 2023-09-05 · ·

Systems and methods involving biometric authentication of transaction cards including aspects of exception handling, deactivation and other features are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary implementation may involve generating a first user interface having one or more interactive UI elements that enable a card owner to manage a plurality of features associated with a transaction card, and determining, if a biometric-activated control is enabled and the vendor is not excluded from the biometric-activated control, whether the transaction card is biometrically-active. Further, the interactive UI elements may include elements such as a first UI element that is configured to allow the card owner to enable a biometric-activated control of the transaction card, and/or a second UI element that is configured to allow the card owner to exclude one or more vendors from the biometric-activated control.

A user having an account with a payment provider receives an unregistered payment card that is associated with the payment provider, and that includes a magnetic strip encoded with a number unique to the card and a machine readable code such as a QR/barcode embossed thereon. The user may then open an application on the user's mobile device to capture the number associated with the card by, for example, scanning the QR/barcode, capturing an image of the number, speaking the number into the device, or manually entering the number into the user's device. The user may also authenticate with the payment provider by entering login credentials. The user may then confirm a request to link the number of the card with the user's payment provider account, which activates and links the card to the user account so that the user can immediately use the card for purchases.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MIGRATING PAYMENT CARD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, SERVER AND MEDIUM

The present application discloses a method and an apparatus for migrating payment card, an electronic device, a server and a medium. The method for migrating payment card includes: receiving payment card migration operation after an account is logged in on the first electronic device; displaying, in response to payment card migration operation, at least one device identifier which is an identifier of a target electronic device on which the account had been logged in; receiving a first selecting operation for a target device identifier of the at least one device identifier; and sending, in response to the first selecting operation, the target device identifier to a server, to cause the server to migrate a payment card bound to a second electronic device to the first electronic device, wherein the second electronic device is an electronic device corresponding to the target device identifier of at least one target electronic device.
