A method and system implemented in an e-commerce system to facilitate transactions between a customer and a vendor is disclosed. The method includes generating, by a processor, the requested at least one NFC code and token, wherein the at least one NFC code and token an identification of the price the customer pays for a specific product, the customer's amount owed on an invoice or granting access to a secure account, transmitting, by a transmitter, the at least one NFC code and token to a vendor server; receiving, by a receiver, a response email, wherein the response email includes the token; decoding, by the processor, the token; performing, by the processor, an Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) validation; and processing, by the processor, the transaction, on a condition that the SPF and DKIM validations are approved.

CASH REGISTER AND TICKET VENDING WITH MINIMAL INFRASTRUCTURE
20230214802 · 2023-07-06 ·

Described herein are a cash register and a ticket vending mechanism that require little or no merchant infrastructure resulting in dramatic cost reduction for merchants. These are made possible through a payer-centric payment paradigm where the payer—as opposed to the merchant—completes the payment transaction without depending on the merchant, resulting in increased payer convenience and payment security.

Key recovery

Generating a private key recovery seed based on random words extracted from an input memory of a user and using the recovery seed to recover the private key. An input that is related to a specific memory of a user is received. The specific memory was previously entered and used to generate random words that are related to each other by being included in the specific memory. The random words are extracted from the received input. The random words are associated with a first private key recovery mechanism for recovering a private key. The random words are input into the first private key recovery mechanism to generate a recovery seed. The recovery seed is input into a second private key recovery mechanism. The second private key recovery mechanism generates a recovered private key upon performing a recovery operation on the private key recovery seed.

SECURING TRANSACTIONS WITH SINGLE-USE ACCOUNT TOKENS
20230214823 · 2023-07-06 ·

Disclosed are various embodiments for securing transactions with single-use account tokens. In one embodiment, an authorization system creates a single-use account token for a valid primary account identifier. The single-use account token is sent as an email attachment to an email address of an associate account holder. A user device is configured to load the single-use account token from the email attachment into a wallet application of the user device. The valid primary account identifier is prevented from being used by the authorization system to authorize a transaction in response to the single-use account token being created.

Usable security with social network assistance

Methods and arrangements for effecting authentication in a secure transaction. There are defined, on behalf of a user, individuals who are members of a social network of the user. There is received, from the user, a transaction request for a secure transaction. An authentication test is conducted with the user and, upon meeting a predetermined requirement of the authentication test, the transaction request is validated. The authentication test requests the user to confirm at least one information item related to at least one member of the user's social network. Other variants and embodiments are broadly contemplated herein.

Secure account creation

In one embodiment, a payment service system-implemented method of assigning payment card numbers for individual user accounts associated with the payment service system includes receiving a request, in the context of an authorization for a payment transaction, to assign a payment card number to a user account associated with a user of the payment service system. The method includes retrieving, from a database associated with the payment service system, an account record associated with the user account. The method includes determining that the user account is not associated with an active payment card number. The method includes identifying an unassigned payment card number and modifying the account record to assign the unassigned payment card number to the user account as an active payment card number. The method includes authorizing the payment transaction using the active payment card number, causing a modification to an account balance of the user account.

Blockchain instrument for transferable equity

Systems and methods for offering and purchasing tokenized securities on a blockchain platform meeting current and future federal, state, and offering and holding entity rules and regulations. Tokenized securities purchased during or after the tokenized securities offering are tradable on a secondary market. The server computer of the tokenized securities provides an automated transfer capability for tokenized securities holders.

Virtual credential authentication based on browsing context

In some implementations, an authentication device may receive information related to website browsing activity at a client device. The information related to the website browsing activity may include information associated with a web address for a current website where information associated with a virtual credential was entered. The authentication device may identify one or more valid web addresses associated with the virtual credential, which may be valid only for an entity associated with the one or more valid web addresses. The authentication device may transmit, to the client device, information to indicate whether the website browsing activity is authenticated based on a comparison of the web address for the current website where the information associated with the virtual credential was entered and the one or more valid web addresses associated with the virtual credential.

Systems and methods for network authentication with a shared secret

A computing system can associate a customer device of a customer with a financial transaction record and the merchant, the financial transaction record indicative of a first purchase from the merchant by the customer, transmit a first query to the customer device prompting the customer to input information regarding an aspect of the first purchase, the first query including a description of a predetermined product parameter of the financial transaction record indicative of the first purchase from the merchant by the customer, authenticating, by the computing system, the first request by determining that the customer-input response to the first query corresponds to the established aspect of the first purchase in accordance with a predetermined accuracy threshold, and authorizing, by the computing system, connection of the customer device to the network provided by the merchant based at least in part on the first request being authenticated.

Systems and methods for contactless card activation

A method, apparatus, and system of activating and using a contactless card are disclosed. A mobile device includes a wireless chip structured to allow short-range wireless communications (e.g., a near-field communication), a processor, and a memory storing instructions. The mobile device is configured to communicate with a contactless card via a short-range wireless communication and receive a customer-specific uniform resource locator (URL) from the contactless card via a wireless chip. In response, the mobile device is configured to automatically open a web browser and navigate to a website associated with the customer-specific URL. The customer-specific URL identifying the client associated with the contactless card. The mobile device then prompts, via a GUI on the display, a user for authentication information, and based on a verification of the authentication information, display a confirmation page indicating activation of the contactless card.
