Authorization systems based on protected data

The disclosure describes techniques to protect personal information stored on an electronic card with which an owner of the electronic card may be authorized to perform a transaction. For example, a point-of-sale (POS) device may receive protected data generated by an electronic card where the protected data may be used by a personal information server to identify the owner of the electronic card. The POS devices sends the protected data and transaction information to an authorization server that sends the protected data to a personal information server. The owner's personal information can be obtained or derived from the protected data by the personal information server and the personal information is sent to the authorization server. The authorization server can determine whether a transaction is authorized or unauthorized based on the transaction information obtained from the POS device and the personal information obtained from the personal information server.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIGITAL ASSET SECURITY ECOSYSTEMS

A digital asset security device, includes an asset capture unit configured to electronically capture a digital asset, a processor configured to digitally sign the captured asset, a memory configured to store a digitally signed asset from the processor, and a hashing module in communication the asset capture unit, the processor, and the memory, and configured to provide a cryptographic hash to one or more of the captured asset and the digitally signed asset.

Various embodiments are directed to enhancing a card payment experience by a single tap of a contactless card to a user computing device. In examples, the single tap of the card may be preconfigured to cause automatic payment of a predefined amount toward a card balance. If the single tap is not preconfigured to mean automatic card payment, the user may be presented with a notification and various payment amount options, which the user can select to pay toward the card balance.

Systems and methods for providing low-latency access to cardholder location data and determining merchant locations and types

A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to provide low-latency access to cardholder location information by receiving periodically updated location information from a mobile device associated with the account holder and updated associated systems with the information prior to the user initiating a transaction. At the time of a transaction, necessary systems can quickly access the stored information and authenticate transactions appropriately.

STORED-VALUE CARD-TO-CARD DIRECT COMMUNICATION
20230043521 · 2023-02-09 ·

A method for performing a card-to-card direct contactless transaction between a first active stored-value smart card (“SVSC”) and a second active SVSC, each comprising an active near-field communication (“NFC”) reader. The method may include activating the first active SVSC by receiving input of a personal identification number (“PIN”) on a keypad located on the first active SVSC, verifying the PIN and further receiving input of a transaction amount on the keypad. The method may further include initiating a wireless NFC communication to perform the transaction by positioning the first active SVSC within a pre-determined distance to the second active SVSC and confirming accuracy of each of the first and second active SVSC using the active NFC reader to retrieve card ID data and confirm accuracy. Following confirming, the method may include directly completing the transaction between the first active SVSC and the second active SVSC.

Secure authentication system and method

Methods and systems pertaining secure transaction systems are disclosed. In one implementation, a merchant server payment information from a user computer. The merchant server can transmit a verification request to a gateway as well as receive a verification response from the gateway. The merchant server can transmit an authentication request and receive an authentication response. After receiving the authentication response, the merchant server can initiate an authorization process.

TAP CARD TO SECURELY GENERATE CARD DATA TO COPY TO CLIPBOARD

A processor of a computing device may receive, from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram. An operating system (OS) executing on the processor may open an application based on the URL. The application may transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive, based on the server verifying the cryptogram, an account number. The application may store the account number in a memory of the device.

MULTIPURPOSE CARD AND READING SYSTEM FOR SAID MULTIPURPOSE CARD

A structure of a multipurpose card having a semi-transparent or transparent stone is provided. The stone is a faceted precious stone, such as a diamond. The diamond is illuminated from only one side of the multipurpose card and light is passed through predetermined optical paths. An image of the diamond is acquired from the opposite side of the multipurpose card and compared to predetermined reference images of the diamond, to authenticate the multipurpose card.

Method and System for Authenticating Digital Transactions

A system and computer-implemented method for authenticating digital transactions. The method includes receiving a device registration request and a device attestation response including at least a device integrity status from a device. In response to the device registration request, the method includes providing a device registration response to the device, based on validation of the device integrity status. Further, the method includes receiving a first payment transaction request and an enrolment request from the device via an application to authenticate a second payment transaction request using a first type of authentication technique. Finally, the method includes enrolling the device to the first type of authentication technique and providing a second token to the device based on a result of the first payment transaction request, wherein the second token is used for authenticating the second payment transaction request.
