System and method for managing inventory and distribution of hotel rooms by multiple brokers using an online interface
An e-commerce based transaction system on a network connected via the Internet to multiple remote computers and mobile phones providing the distribution of hotel room lodging reservations or other lodging sites for location and date of specific events. A central database is hosted on a server and transmitted to individual remote servers or users that can have a respective database of listings from individual brokers oration or other system participants. In the alternative, the blockchain can be a mode of information dissemination. E-commerce transactions are conducted by the system, which performs a number of transaction-related functions, such as posting available hotel room reservations or lodging site reservations for sale, and purchasing spaces for use, resale, brokerage or pure speculation online. Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer program products are disclosed for utilizing specially configured machine learning models to generate incremental currency value(s) associated with one or more target merchant data objects. Some embodiments, based on one or more market record sets, identify an actual electronic currency value for a total merchant data object set, and include a counterfactual model configured to generate a counterfactual electronic currency value for use in determining a counterfactual incremental electronic currency impact, and in some embodiments for ranking other models. Embodiments, additionally or alternatively, include an incrementality-trained ensemble model for generating a predictive incremental electronic currency impact. The incrementality-trained ensemble model may be trained to predict based on the rankings of the outputs of the counterfactual model. Embodiments may further rank target merchant data objects and perform one or more additional actions, including assigning the target merchant data objects to sales account data structures for management.

The disclosed technology improves the process of generating recommended prices for retail products. First, the present technology makes it possible to model shopper demand when sales data includes time periods with zero unit sales without hypothesizing whether the time periods are out-of-stock events or zero sales. This can be accomplished by applying a truncated Poisson distribution and the Newton-Raphson method to the non-zero unit sales to generate a coefficient vector that maximizes the likelihood of the observations in the sales data. Second, the present technology can be used to generate recommended prices for a group of products that optimize revenue and profit while limiting the number of products that require price changes to a predefined threshold value. This can be accomplished by iteratively replacing a current best value solution with a next best value solution across a collection of product networks until an acceptable number of unchanged prices is achieved.

Embodiments optimize inventory allocation of a retail item, where the retail item is allocated from a plurality of different fulfillment centers to a plurality of different customer groups. Embodiments receive historical sales data for the retail item and estimate demand model parameters. Embodiments generate a network including first nodes corresponding to the fulfillment centers, second nodes corresponding to the customer groups, and third nodes between the first nodes and the second nodes, each of the third nodes corresponding to one of the second nodes. Embodiments generate an initial feasible inventory allocation from the first nodes to the second nodes and solves a minimum cost flow problem for the network to generate an optimal inventory allocation.
