A method for processing a payment transaction implemented by an autonomous electronic device for processing payment transactions, called a payment kiosk. The payment kiosk includes a processor connected to at least one rendering device for rendering offers of items or services being vended and linked to at least one communications interface and to at least one contactless payment terminal. The a method includes: transmission, by a browser installed within the payment kiosk, of a request for obtaining contents made to a contents server; reception, by the browser, coming from the contents server, of an HTML content including at least one payment tag; processing the HTML content, delivering a view of the HTML content on the at least one rendering device; and preparation, by anticipation, by the contactless payment terminal, of at least one payment transaction as a function of data attributes of the at least one payment tag.

A streamline banking system includes a customer kiosk having a photographic element and a processor. The processor is programmed to capture an image with the photographic element and determine that the captured image comprises an image of a machine-readable code. The processor decodes the machine-readable code and extracts customer financial account data therefrom. The customer financial account data is associated with one or more financial institutions. The processor retrieves information associated with one or more financial product offerings offered by the financial institutions. Each of the financial institutions is presented to a customer along with the respective financial accounts and the respective financial product offerings. The customer selects one or more of the financial accounts and the financial product offerings. The customer kiosk then transmits to the customer service computing system the customer selection.

A method for processing cash-withdrawal transactions is provided. When available cash at a terminal device is less than a first amount that a user wants to withdraw, the terminal device presents a first option to the user to receive a first part of the first amount, which the terminal device is falling short of, as a voucher or a credit in a digital wallet. A mobile device with a display, processor(s), and memory: identifies a retail machine configured for wireless communications based on broadcasted information transmitted by the retail machine and including an identifier corresponding to the retail machine; transmits the identifier to a server and receives from the server an electronic communication including a promotional offer for products or services offered by the retail machine; displays the promotional offer; detects selection of a promotional offer; receives a notification from the retail machine that a product or service was provided by the retail machine for a user of the mobile device; transmits confirmation information associated with the notification to the server, receives promotion validation information from the server indicating validation of the promotional offer; and based on the promotion validation information, displays information confirming application of the promotional offer.

In order to manage a transaction that is performed to resolve shortage of money in a store, a transaction management system that manages a transaction, in which depositing of money or money change is to be performed, is provided with: an input device configured to input transaction identification information set for the transaction that has been reserved; a money handling apparatus configured to count deposited money to performe the transaction; and a communication unit configured to transmit handling information based on at least one of the transaction identification information inputted by the input device, and depositing information obtained by counting the deposited money by the money handling apparatus, to another device via a network.
