Systems and methods of monitoring medical implants
Methods of processing images, such as ultrasound images, to determine integrity of an implant are described. The method may include receiving an ultrasound image of an implant in a body of a subject; determining one or more characteristics of a surface of the implant based on an intensity of pixels of the ultrasound image; generating a predicted status of the implant based on the one or more characteristics by comparison of the one or more characteristics with a database of image data; and displaying the predicted status of the implant. The implant may be a breast implant, for example, wherein the method is useful for analyzing the presence or probability of extracapsular ruptures, contractures, and combinations thereof.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR REAL TIME EXTRACTION OF CROSSTALK IN ILLUMINATION EMITTED FROM REACTION SITES
Biosensor including an array of reaction sites and corresponding light sensors may experience crosstalk in which photons from one reaction site are detected by neighbors of its corresponding light sensor, and such crosstalk may be corrected using sharpening kernels corresponding to the sensors in the array. Such sharpening kernels may be derived from point spread functions, which may be determined in real time analysis based on images captured during sequencing.
REMOTE IMAGE ANALYSIS FOR VISUALLY ASSESSING AGGLUTINATION OF FLUID SAMPLES
Machine learning analysis for classifying agglutination of fluid samples. A method includes scanning a unique scannable code printed on a test card, wherein the test card comprises a negative control fluid sample, a positive control fluid sample, and a test fluid sample. The method includes capturing an image of the test card and providing the image of the test card to a machine learning algorithm configured to assess agglutination of the test fluid sample based on the image. The method includes receiving from the machine learning algorithm one or more of a qualitative analysis or a quantitative analysis of the agglutination of the test fluid sample.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR ULTRASOUND ACQUISITION WITH ADAPTIVE TRANSMITS
Methods and systems are provided for dynamically selecting ultrasound transmits. In one example, a method includes dynamically updating a number of transmit lines and/or a pattern of transmit lines for acquiring an ultrasound image based on a prior ultrasound image and a task to be performed with the ultrasound image, and acquiring the ultrasound image with an ultrasound probe controlled to operate with the updated number of transmit lines and/or the updated pattern of transmit lines.
Tracking Soft Tissue in Medical Images
The present invention relates to a medical data processing method of determining the representation of an anatomical body part (2) of a patient (1) in a sequence of medical images, the anatomical body part (2) being subject to a vital movement of the patient (1), the method being constituted to be executed by a computer and comprising the following steps: a) acquiring advance medical image data comprising a time-related advance medical image comprising a representation of the anatomical body part (2) in a specific movement phase; b) acquiring current medical image data describing a sequence of current medical images, wherein the sequence comprises a specific current medical image comprising a representation of the anatomical body part (2) in the specific movement phase, and a tracking current medical image which is different from the specific current medical image and comprises a representation of the anatomical body part (2) in a tracking movement phase which is different from the specific movement phase; c) determining, based on the advance medical image data and the current medical image data, specific image subset data describing a specific image subset of the specific current medical image, the specific image subset comprising the representation of the anatomical body part (2); d) determining, based on the current medical image data and the image subset data, subset tracking data describing a tracked image subset in the tracking current medical image, the tracked image subset comprising the representation of the anatomical body part (2).

X-Ray Image Feature Detection And Registration Systems And Methods
The disclosure relates generally to the field of vascular system and peripheral vascular system data collection, imaging, image processing and feature detection relating thereto. In part, the disclosure more specifically relates to methods for detecting position and size of contrast cloud in an x-ray image including with respect to a sequence of x-ray images during intravascular imaging. Methods of detecting and extracting metallic wires from x-ray images are also described herein such as guidewires used in coronary procedures. Further, methods for of registering vascular trees for one or more images, such as in sequences of x-ray images, are disclosed. In part, the disclosure relates to processing, tracking and registering angiography images and elements in such images. The registration can be performed relative to images from an intravascular imaging modality such as, for example, optical coherence tomography (OCT) or intravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
