An image processing apparatus tracks a target object included in a plurality of consecutively captured images. The image processing apparatus may include an image acquisition unit, a template acquisition unit, a masking map generation unit, and a tracking unit. The image acquisition unit acquires the image. The template acquisition unit acquires a template corresponding to the target object. The masking map generation unit generates a masking map that indicates a degree of masking of the target object by another object. The tracking unit detects the target object by using the template, and acquires an amount of movement of the target object and a direction of the movement of the target object, based on both of the template and the masking map.

In a state where a tracking flag is on, a search controller determines, with respect to a previous frame, whether an amount of change in positional coordinates of a feature point of a face in the current frame is within a predetermined range, whether an amount of change in face orientation is within a predetermined angle range, and whether an amount of change in sight line direction is within a predetermined range. When the conditions are satisfied in all these determinations, the change in the detection result in the current frame with respect to the previous frame is considered as being within an allowable range, and continuously in a subsequent frame, detection processing for a face image is performed in accordance with a face image area saved in a tracking information storage unit.

The method includes: predetermining a background image corresponding to a scene monitored by a video monitoring device; performing a subtraction processing on a grayscale image to be detected and the background image to acquire a difference image; and binarizing the difference image and determining a moving object in the grayscale image to be detected, where the determining the background image includes: dividing a first grayscale image frame and a second grayscale image frame in a grayscale image frame sequence captured by the video monitoring device into image blocks to acquire a first image block set and a second image block set respectively, and determining the background image using a difference between the first image block set and the second image block set.

The displaying of the secured image is monitored by detecting the corresponding secure pattern of the secured image part, updating the detected secure pattern, checking the currentness or correctness of the detected secure pattern.

A secured image is generated based on a source image by generating at least one secured image part. The secured image part is generated by combining a source image part of the source image with a corresponding secure pattern. The displaying of the secured image is monitored by detecting the corresponding secure pattern of the secured image part, updating the detected secure pattern, checking the currentness or correctness of the detected secure pattern.
System and method of providing recommendations to users of vehicles

An example method includes determining a first score based on a first pixel distance between a first feature of a first object in a reference image and a second feature in a second image of a search area, determining a second score corresponding to a second pixel distance between the second feature and a mathematical representation of a plurality of shapes representing a similarity between the second feature in the second image of the search area and the plurality of shapes observed simultaneously. The method further includes determining a normalized score by normalizing the first score based on the second score and identifying a second object in the second image of the search area as the first object in the reference image when the normalized score satisfies a threshold score.
