Fractional Anisotropy in MRI as an Indicator of Reversible Pathology
20180249926 · 2018-09-06 · ·

The present invention concerns a method for determining whether brain regions of interest having reversible or irreversible pathology. The method includes acquiring over a predetermined period of time a plurality of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images for each brain region of interest; analyzing the MRI images to obtain quantitative measurements of the fractional anisotropy (FA) for each brain region of interest and determining that brain regions of interest have reversible pathology when the measured FA increases and then decreases over the predetermined period of time.

System and Method for the Visualization and Characterization of Objects in Images
20180109698 · 2018-04-19 ·

A method of visualization, characterization, and detection of objects within an image by applying a local micro-contrast convergence algorithm to a first image to produce a second image that is different from the first image, wherein all like objects converge into similar patterns or colors in the second image.

Automated generation of a three-dimensional scanner video

A method for automatically generating a three-dimensional (3D) video of a scene by measuring and registering 3D coordinates at a first position and a second position of a 3D measuring device, the 3D video generated by combining two-dimensional images extracted at trajectory points along a trajectory path.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING OVULATION USING SALIVA
20170150949 · 2017-06-01 · ·

A device for detecting ovulation using saliva according to the present invention comprises: a device body having a lens disposed in the inner space thereof and a pinhole formed through a side opposite to the lens; a scattering unit coupled to one side of the device body, which has the pinhole formed therein, and configured to scatter light to be supplied to the pinhole; and a sample plate which is separably mounted in the device body so as to be located between the lens and the pinhole and on which saliva is placed, wherein the pinhole is configured to convert light, which passed through the scattering unit, into point light so as to uniformly supply the light to the sample plate, so that saliva crystals formed by drying of the saliva will form a striking contrast with the surrounding portions when the light is scattered by the saliva crystals.

Method and apparatus for fractal identification of an object

A method and system for applying and reading a fractal image to and from a plurality of objects to act as an identification label is provided. The system includes a printer for printing a fractal pattern to the plurality of objects and a reader for reading the printed fractal pattern. Such a fractal image is robust to printing and imaging difficulties and inconsistencies, and is difficult to copy, thus defending against counterfeiting.

Calibration of activity concentration uptake

A framework for calibrating activity concentration uptake. The framework generates a pattern that represents a volume of interest. A three-dimensional (3D) phantom may be printed based on the pattern. Activity concentration uptake in the volume of interest may then be calibrated by using the 3D phantom.
