INSPECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An inspection apparatus includes at least one memory that stores instructions, and at least one processor that executes the instructions to perform determining, in a case where an image of an inspection area is a blank and collation inspection is to be performed on the image of the inspection, whether correct data in the collation inspection is a blank, outputting an inspection result for the inspection area as a success, in a case where it is determined that the correct data is a blank, and outputting an inspection result for the inspection area as a failure, in a case where it is determined that the correct data is not a blank.
INSPECTION APPARATUS, INSPECTION SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD FOR INSPECTION APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A client computer which has generated a print job related to printing of a print product to be inspected transmits image data and layout information used for generating the print job to an inspection apparatus. The inspection apparatus receives and stores image data and layout information used for generating the print job from the client computer. The image scanned from the print product printed based on the print job and image data used for generating the print job are compared based on the layout information to inspect the print quality of the print product.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Some embodiments are directed to an image processing apparatus comprising obtaining a reference image and a verification target image; selecting one or more defect detection processing from a plurality of types of defect detection processing for performing defect detection in the verification target image; executing the selected one or more defect detection processing on a difference image between the reference image and the verification target image in accordance with processing parameters of the selected one or more defect detection processing; and outputting a result display screen in which a defect in the verification target image and a defect detection processing used for detecting the defect can be identified, in a case where the defect is detected.
Image processing device, control method, and control program
An image processing apparatus includes a storage device to store a shading pattern in which a condition of gradation values of a target pixel and a plurality of pixels having a predetermined positional relationship with respect to the target pixel are set, a processor to acquire an multiple value image, generate a binary image from the multiple value image, detect a pixel satisfying the condition set in the shading pattern from the multiple value image as a part of a shading, a generate a shading removal pattern for removing the detected shading, based on the multiple value image, generate a shading removal image by applying the shading removal pattern to the binary image, and an output device to output the shading removal image or information generated using the shading removal image.
AUTOMATED UPDATE OF OBJECT-MODELS IN GEOMETRICAL DIGITAL REPRESENTATION
Techniques are described for updating a digital twin of an environment, particularly, a digital representation of an object in the environment. A system can include a change-detection device having a camera, and one or more processors responsive to executable computer instructions to perform a method. The method includes capturing an image of a portion of the object using the change-detection device. The method further includes determining a corresponding digital data representing the portion in the digital representation of the environment. The method further includes detecting a change in the portion by comparing the image with the corresponding digital data. The method further includes in response to the change being above a predetermined threshold, initiating a resource-intensive scan of the portion using a scanning device, and updating the digital representation of the object by replacing the corresponding digital data representing the portion with the resource-intensive scan.
MACHINE LEARNING PIPELINE FOR DOCUMENT IMAGE QUALITY DETECTION AND CORRECTION
A computing system receives, from a client device, an image of a content item uploaded by a user of the client devices. The computing system divides the image into one or more overlapping patches. The computing system identifies, via a first machine learning model, one or more distortions present in the image based on the image and the one or more overlapping patches. The computing system determines that the image meets a threshold level of quality. Responsive to the determining, the computing system corrects, via a second machine learning model, the one or more distortions present in the image based on the image and the one or more overlapping patches. Each patch of the one or more overlapping patches are corrected. The computing system reconstructs the image of the content item based on the one or more corrected overlapping patches.
INSPECTION SYSTEM, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INSPECTION SYSTEM
An inspection system extracts feature points from a scan image and from a reference image, performs alignment of the scan image and the reference image based on the extracted feature points, inspects a printed material using the aligned scan and reference images, and performs processing in accordance with a method selected from among a plurality of methods including at least a first method and a second method in a case where the number of the feature points in the reference image is less than a predetermined number. The processing is performed such that, in the case where the number of the feature points in the reference image is less than the predetermined number, the alignment using at least the extracted feature points is performed when the first method is selected, and the inspection is then carried out, whereas the inspection is not carried out when the second method is selected.
Print system, information processing apparatus, printing apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
A print system including a printing apparatus that prints an image on a sheet, a verification apparatus that verifies a sheet printed by the printing apparatus and an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus determines whether or not a device having a discharge tray is present between the printing apparatus and the verification apparatus, and in a case where it is determined that the device is present, controls to discharge a sheet printed in a sample printing to the discharge tray when a timing of the sample printing for a user to confirm printing on the sheet is during execution of a print job in which the printing apparatus and the verification apparatus are used.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING FINGERPRINT SENSOR AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
An electronic device is provided which includes a light emitting module that radiates infrared light, a window disposed on the light emitting module and having a specific refractive index with respect to the infrared light, wherein the window includes a refraction part that totally reflects the infrared light inside the window in correspondence with the specific refractive index, and a fingerprint sensor disposed under the window and obtaining a fingerprint of a user based on a user input on the window by using scattered light of the infrared light.
RESTORING THE APPEARANCE OF SCANS OF DAMAGED PHYSICAL DOCUMENTS
Systems and methods for restoring the appearances of scans of damaged physical documents. Ink bleed is removed and/or ink added to portions of a scanned image based on determining an ink bleed model by analyzing colors of pixels in the scanned image. Gaps in strokes are reconstructed based on analyzing pixel color at multiple angles around individual pixels in the scanned image to determine whether the individual pixels are part of a stroke. The appearance of the scanned image is also enhanced by comparing pixels that are not already close to a background color or ink color with other nearby pixels and, based on the nearby pixels, adjusting colors of the pixels that are not already close to the background color or ink color. These techniques are used individually or in combination to improve the appearance of the scanned image.
