PROSTHETIC SUSPENSION MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
20180008435 · 2018-01-11 ·

A prosthetic suspension-mounting system which employs an improved flathead bolt and socket centering cup combination for securement of an-amputee-limb enveloping liner within a prosthesis. The liner has a strap fixedly attached on the bottom end of the liner by a flathead bolt. The mounting system also includes a containment socket for seating the liner in the prosthesis using the head of the flathead bolt as a bearing surface against a floor of the socket. The containment socket has a slot there through at a position corresponding to the strap of the liner. The socket is provided with a disk-shaped recess having a flat floor, and the liner is provided with a distal flathead bolt having a flat head to provide a direct bearing surface against the floor of the socket. This provides a delimited bearing surface to keep the liner substantially centered within the prosthesis while still affording a lateral degree of freedom to avoid concentration of lateral forces.

MAGNETIC ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR ASSISTIVE DEVICES

A magnetic and electrical interface that may be used with an assistive device. The interface comprises a proximal connector and a distal connector. The proximal connector may be attached to a liner for a residual limb and the distal connector may be attached to a hard socket or other aspect of an assistive device. Other aspects of and uses for the connector interface are also disclosed.

Structure of connection and adjustment assembly of support socket joint of prosthesis
09820872 · 2017-11-21 · ·

An improved structure of a connection and adjustment assembly of a support socket joint of a prosthesis includes a connector, in which a vertical through hole and a horizontal through hole are formed. A support socket is provided on the connector and receives therein an arrest axle extending through the vertical through hole. The horizontal through hole receives therein a shaft, which has an end having a toothed wheel engageable with the arrest axle and an opposite end to which a second one-way bearing, a sleeve, and a knob cap are mounted. The knob cap has an interior that is an elliptical configuration corresponding to and mating an outside elliptical configuration of the sleeve. Pressing a knob causes movement of the sleeve and thus components mounted to the shaft so as to have the toothed wheel disengage from the arrest axle, allowing the arrest axle to be withdrawn out.

Alignment device for a prosthetic leg liner pin

A prosthetic liner and liner pin alignment device has a support, and a body extending from the support. The body has a cup defining an inner wall surface defining a liner-receiving recess having a longitudinal axis and defining a liner pin-receiving guide hole to a liner pin-receiving pin guide aperture. The liner pin-receiving pin guide aperture has a central axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the liner-receiving recess.

Prosthetic pin locking mechanism with vacuum tunnels

TRANSFEMORAL PROSTHETIC SOCKET WITH A TEXTILE-BASED COVER AND INTRA-FRAME FORCE APPLICATORS

An intra-frame positioning sling may be disposed internally within a prosthetic socket frame. The sling may include one or more proximal suspension portions adapted to suspend from a proximal aspect of the frame and a tensioning system. The sling may include a first longitudinal side with one or more proximal suspension portions and an opposite longitudinal side that includes the residual limb interfacing or force application portion of the sling. When the tensioning system is tensioned, the sling is pulled toward the first longitudinal side of the prosthetic socket frame. A set of two positioning slings may be rigged in a transfemoral prosthetic socket frame; one sling applies force on a medial side of a hosted residual limb, and the other sling applies force on the lateral side.

TRANSTIBIAL PROSTHETIC SOCKET WITH TEXTILE JACKET

A transtibial prosthetic socket frame may include a distal base assembly having a base plate, a carriage configured to support a socket suspension arrangement, and a distal prosthetic component connector. The distal base assembly supports a set of struts that includes two anterior struts and a single posterior strut. The set of struts and distal base assembly collectively define a prosthetic socket cavity having a central longitudinal axis and a residual limb hosting volume. The distal prosthetic component connector has a connecting adapter that is rotatable with respect to the prosthetic socket, and moveable with respect to the base plate between being aligned with the prosthetic socket's central longitudinal axis and a position offset therefrom.
