METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING DIGITAL ASSAYS USING POLYDISPERSE DROPLETS
Methods, devices, and systems for performing digital assays are provided. In certain aspects, the methods, devices, and systems can be used for the amplification and detection of nucleic acids. In certain aspects, the methods, devices, and systems can be used for the recognition, detection, and sizing of droplets in a volume. Also provided are compositions and kits suitable for use with the methods and devices of the present disclosure.
Substance preparation evaluation system
Automatic substance preparation and evaluation systems and methods are provided for preparing and evaluating a fluidic substance, such as e.g. a sample with bodily fluid, in a container and/or in a dispense tip. The systems and methods can detect volumes, evaluate integrities, and check particle concentrations in the container and/or the dispense tip.
System and Method for Template-Based Image Analysis
A computer-implemented system and method for template-based imaging are disclosed. A first image of a first slide, a second image of a second slide, and a third image of a third slide are received, wherein the third image includes a representation of a sample disposed on the third slide. Values of pixels of a template image that are associated with a plurality of features common to the first and second slides and represented in the first and second images are set to a non-background value and values of pixels of the template image not associated with the plurality of features are set to a background value. An offset between the template image and the third image is developed and coordinates of pixels in the third image that are associated with the representation of the sample are determined in accordance with the offset.
SEQUENCING FROM MULTIPLE PRIMERS TO INCREASE DATA RATE AND DENSITY
The present invention relates to a sequencing method which allows for increased rates of sequencing and an increase in the density of sequencing data. The system may be based on next generation sequencing methods such as sequencing by synthesis (SBS) but uses multiple primers bound at different positions on the same nucleic acid strand.
DETECTION OF PATHOGENS AND ALLERGENS
Embodiments include methods, systems and computer program products for communicating the presence of a target DNA or RNA sequence. Aspects include receiving a plurality of images of a sample taken by a portable video capture device. Aspects also include calculating a change in position over time of microscopic beads coated with DNA probe sequence in a sample containing genetic material. Aspects also include determining whether the beads are displaying Brownian motion. Aspects also include, based upon a determination of that the beads are displaying Brownian motion, generating a negative output message and sending the negative output message to a portable display. Aspects also include, based upon a determination of that the beads are not displaying Brownian motion, generating a positive output message and sending the positive output message to a portable display.
COUPON READER
When reading a coupon that displays a pattern when a target substance is detected, recognition of the target pattern can be hindered by nonuniform illumination of the coupon. In one aspect, methods and devices are disclosed for uniform illumination of a coupon using a negative axicon lens and a light diffusing assembly. In another separate aspect, methods are disclosed for mathematically compensating for nonuniform illumination of a coupon.
Systems and methods for single molecule quantification
A method for quantifying labels on a substrate is performed by an electronic device with one or more processors and memory. The method includes obtaining digital data corresponding to a multi-dimensional measurement over the substrate; identifying a first set of sub-portions of the digital data; and, for a respective sub-portion of the first set of sub-portions of the digital data: increasing a quantity of labels, and subtracting a reference signal distribution from the respective sub-portion to obtain subtracted sub-portion data. The method also includes obtaining subtracted digital data. The subtracted digital data includes the subtracted sub-portion data for the respective sub-portion. The method further includes identifying a second set of one or more sub-portions of the subtracted digital data; and, for a respective sub-portion of the second set of one or more sub-portions of the subtracted digital data, increasing a quantity of labels.
IDENTIFYING NUCLEOTIDES BY DETERMINING PHASING
Methods and systems for analysis of image data generated from various reference points. Particularly, the methods and systems provided are useful for real time analysis of image and sequence data generated during DNA sequencing methodologies.

Fluorescence image analyzing apparatus, image processing method of fluorescence image, and computer program
Disclosed is a fluorescence image analyzing apparatus including a light source that emits light to a sample including a plurality of cells labeled with a fluorescent dye at a target site, an imaging unit that captures a fluorescence image of each of the cells that emit fluorescence by being irradiated with the light, a processing unit that processes the fluorescence image captured by the imaging unit, and a display unit that displays the fluorescence image processed by the processing unit. The processing unit performs an extraction process of extracting, for each cell, a plurality of bright spots in the fluorescence image including the target site, a changing process of changing a pixel value of each of the plurality of extracted bright spots based on the pixel value of each bright spot, and a display process of displaying the fluorescence image whose pixel value is changed on the display unit.
