TOOL SYSTEM, TOOL, METHOD FOR GENERATING REFERENCE IMAGE, AND PROGRAM
A tool system is used for a plurality of tools. Each of the plurality of tools is a portable tool and includes: a driving unit to be activated with power supplied from a power source; and an image capturing unit. The tool system includes a reference image generating unit and an output unit. The reference image generating unit generates, based on a second captured image, a reference image to be compared with a first captured image. The first captured image is shot, while a current work target is being identified, by the image capturing unit. The second captured image is also shot by the image capturing unit. The output unit makes a display unit display the second captured image while the reference image generating unit is generating the reference image.
Method and System for Facilitating Keyword-Based Searching in Images
Technologies are generally described for a system to extract description of reference numerals in images and facilitate keyword-based search in images. In various examples, the system may include one or more databases, a computer readable memory, and one or more processors. The system may be configured to extract one or more reference numerals from an image, and identify and extract corresponding description of the one or more reference numerals from a description document corresponding to the image. The system may be further configured to extract text from the images, and store the images in a database with the extracted data, i.e., text, reference numerals, and corresponding descriptions. The system may be further configured to receive an input query intending to search images related to a search logic of the input query, search a database to identify an image including either of text or a reference numeral having a corresponding description that corresponds to the search logic of the input query, and render the identified image via a display device executing the output interface.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTONOMOUS IDENTIFICATION OF HETEROGENEOUS PHANTOM REGIONS
A computer-implemented method includes obtaining, at a processor, a tomographic image of a phantom, wherein the phantom includes heterogeneous regions having a plurality of materials with varying attenuation coefficients. The method also includes automatically segmenting, via the processor, the heterogeneous regions from the tomographic image to generate a segmented image. The method further includes automatically identifying, via the processor, a plurality of regions of interest having varying attenuation coefficients within the tomographic image based on the segmented image. The method still further includes automatically labeling, via the processor, each region of interest of the plurality of regions of interest as representing a particular material of the plurality of materials. The method even further includes outputting, via the processor, a labeled image of the tomographic image. The method may be utilized in quality assurance testing and calibration.
Systems and methods for automated document image orientation correction
Systems and methods are configured for correcting the orientation of an image data object subject to optical character recognition (OCR) by receiving an original image data object, generating initial machine readable text for the original image data object via OCR, generating an initial quality score for the initial machine readable text via machine-learning models, determining whether the initial quality score satisfies quality criteria, upon determining that the initial quality score does not satisfy the quality criteria, generating a plurality of rotated image data objects each comprising the original image data object rotated to a different rotational position, generating a rotated machine readable text data object for each of the plurality of rotated image data objects and generating a rotated quality score for each of the plurality of rotated machine readable text data objects, and determining that one of the plurality of rotated quality scores satisfies the quality criteria.

IMAGE-PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE-PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
According to the present disclosure, an image-processing apparatus acquires scan information of the read images read by the image-reading apparatus, generates temporal change data based on the statistical information and the scan information, determines whether the temporal change data satisfy a threshold, and outputs notice information when the temporal change data are determined as failing to satisfy the threshold.
Gesture recognition on computing device correlating input to a template
A computer-implemented user interface method and apparatus are disclosed. A user input signal corresponding to a drawn gesture is received and sampled. If the input signal is orientation invariant, the sampled, spaced points are rotated in accordance with an indicative angle to generate an input vector. If the input signal is orientation sensitive, the sampled, spaced points are rotated to align with a base orientation to generate the input vector. The gesture is recognized based on a comparison of the input vector to a plurality of templates.
EMBROIDERY REGION DETECTION APPARATUS, EMBROIDERY REGION DETECTION METHOD, RECORDING MEDIUM FOR STORING PROGRAM, AND EMBROIDERY DESIGN LAYOUT SYSTEM
Information with respect to an embroidery frame and information with respect to a mark alignment region are acquired. The mark alignment region is displayed for guiding multiple marks that are provided to an embroidery frame in order to define an embroidery region in the embroidery frame. When the multiple marks thus displayed are all positioned within the mark alignment region, an image of the embroidery region is acquired. Image analysis is performed based on the information with respect to the embroidery frame thus acquired and the information with respect to the multiple corresponding marks within the acquired image. Subsequently, the embroidery region within the embroidery frame is determined based on the analysis result. This allows the embroidery region to be detected with high precision in a simple manner.
Blended physical and virtual realities
Techniques for providing blended physical and virtual reality experiences are disclosed. In some embodiments, a pose of a camera of a device located in a venue is determined based at least in part on three-dimensional asset recognition in a field of view of the camera, wherein the field of view of the camera comprises an actual physical view of the venue; a virtual view corresponding to the actual view is obtained from existing assets comprising a specification of a virtualized version of the venue; and display of the virtual view is facilitated at the venue. Thus, a virtual reality of a physical space is provided while at the physical space based on actual three-dimensional objects detected or recognized in the physical space.
