An endoprosthesis (1) comprising a body part (2), a first cover sheet (4), and a thrombogenic fiber (5), wherein the (5) fibers are attached to the endoprosthesis (1) by means of a fixation layer (7) and partially arranged between the first cover sheet (4) and the fixation layer (7).

Apparatuses for stent shaping
11590550 · 2023-02-28 · ·

An apparatus for crimping a radially expandable stent includes a pressure vessel, shaping balloon, and mandrel. The mandrel is configured to slidingly receive a stent thereon, and to be slidingly advanced into the pressure vessel. The shaping balloon is inflated to radially compress the stent onto the form of the mandrel; such compression need not be uniform. Pressurization of the shaping balloon facilitates the expansion of the balloon to achieve compression of the stent, with depressurization of the shaping balloon causing the balloon to return to an unexpanded state.

Methods and apparatus for treatment of aneurysms adjacent branch arteries

A polymer coating/ring is employed to aid in the sealing and connection of modular elements used in body flow lumens for the exclusion and bypass of diseased regions of the flow lumen, such as where aneurysm occurs adjacent to branching blood vessels.

Controlled ingrowth feature for antimigration

A tubular prosthesis that includes a scaffolding formed by at least one scaffolding filament; a cover; and at least one controlled ingrowth feature constructed and arranged to abut an inner surface of a lumen wall when the prosthesis is implanted in the body lumen. The controlled ingrowth feature may extend inwards or outwards from the prosthesis outer surface. The controlled ingrowth feature may be formed by a scaffolding filament; by a separate filament; by the cover; and combinations thereof.

Stent with shaped wires
11590007 · 2023-02-28 · ·

Stents generally can include a tubular structure having circumferentially positioned undulating wires that extend over a majority of a length of the stent such that the undulations oscillate circumferentially to define a circumference of the stent. The undulations can wrap over and under adjacent undulations to form an interwoven structure. Additionally, or alternatively, adjacent wires can be joined. Wires forming the stent can be cut from elastic tubing such that each wire has a three-dimensional shape.

Embolisation device for promoting blood clot formation and a method of retrieving the same from a bodily lumen

An embolisation device (10) for promoting clot formation in a bodily lumen (L) and having a collapsed delivery configuration for delivery of the embolisation device (10) into, and retrieval of the embolisation device (10) from, the bodily lumen (L) and an expanded deployed configuration for anchoring the embolisation device (10) in the bodily lumen (L). The embolisation device (10) comprises a tubular cage (20) having a collapsed delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration. The embolisation device further comprises an embolisation member (30) disposed in the tubular cage (20), the embolisation member (30) comprising a stem (31) and a plurality of flexible bristles (32) extending outwardly from the stem, the plurality of flexible bristles having a collapsed delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration. The embolisation device (10) is configured such that as the tubular cage (20) is transitioned from its expanded deployed configuration to its collapsed delivery configuration the plurality of flexible bristles (32) is urged by the tubular cage (20) from the expanded deployed configuration of the flexible bristles (32) to the collapsed delivery configuration of the flexible bristles (32).
