Multiple image segmentation and/or multiple dynamic spectral acquisition for material and mineral classification
20220319206 · 2022-10-06 · ·

The invention relates to method and system configured for material analysis and mineralogy. At least one image based on first emission from a sample is provided. First spectra of the sample based on second emissions from the second scan locations of the image are provided. A confidence score is calculated for every first spectrum, and second scan location(s) with confidence score(s) below a threshold value are selected. Second emissions from the selected second scan location(s) are acquired to provide new image and determine new second scan locations within the respective new image.

SPATIALLY-AWARE INTERACTIVE SEGMENTATION OF MULTI-ENERGY CT DATA

Segmentation of multi-energy CT data, including data in three or more energy bands. A user is enabled to input one or more region indicators in displayed CT data. Probability maps are generated and may be refined using distance metrics, which may include geodesic and Euclidean distance metrics. Segmentation may be based on the probability maps and/or refined probability maps. Segmentation of medical image data is also disclosed.

Method, apparatus, and computer program product for identifying street parking based on aerial imagery

A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for identifying on-street parking from aerial imagery. A method may include: receiving an aerial image of a geographic region; applying an object detection algorithm to the received aerial image to identify vehicle objects within the aerial image; identifying one or more clusters of vehicle objects within the aerial image; generating cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects; map matching the cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects to a map of the geographic region; and identifying on-street parking for a road segment in response to a cluster line of the cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects satisfying predetermined criteria with respect to the road segment.

Image Enhancement in a Genealogy System

Methods, systems, and computer-program products for image enhancement include receiving an image and optionally a user request, classify the image, crop image components of the image, restore cropped image components of the image, colorized restored image components, and reconstruct the image from the colorized, restored image components and other components. The other components may include text components that are restored in a separate treatment pipeline.

METHOD FOR UPDATING ROAD SIGNS AND MARKINGS ON BASIS OF MONOCULAR IMAGES

The present invention discloses a method for updating road signs and markings on the basis of monocular images, comprising the following steps: acquiring street images of urban roads and GPS phase center coordinates and spatial attitude data corresponding to the street images; extracting coordinates of the road sign marking images; constructing a sparse three-dimensional model, and then generating a streetscape image depth map; calculating the space position of the road sign and marking according to the semantic and depth values of the image, the collinear equation and the space distance relation; if the same road sign and marking is visible in multiple views, solving the position information of the road sign; and vectorizing the obtained road sign position information, and fusing the information into the original data to realize the updating of the road sign data.

PERIPHERY DETECTION DEVICE FOR WORK MACHINE
20230139466 · 2023-05-04 · ·

An image capturing device is provided on a working machine and takes a captured image of surroundings including an object around the working machine. A first setting part sets a detection region in the captured image where the object is detected. A responsive action part executes a predetermined responsive action in a case that the object is in the detection region in the captured image. The first setting part sets a boundary that is a limit of the detection region in the captured image. The boundary extends in a front orthogonal direction and has a certain shape.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR OBJECT DETECTION USING MACHINE LEARNING PROCESSES

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided to automatically detect objects within images. For example, an image capture device may capture an image, and may apply a trained neural network to the image to generate an object value and a class value for each of a plurality of portions of the image. Further, the image capture device may determine, for each of the plurality of image portions, a confidence value based on the object value and the class value corresponding to each image portion. The image capture device may also detect an object within at least one image portion based on the confidence values. Further, the image capture device may output a bounding box corresponding to the at least one image portion. The bounding box defines an area of the image that includes one or more objects.

VISUAL TRACKING OF TARGET FEATURES

A vehicle driver assist system provides for the location of a target feature in an initial image and updates the location of that target feature based on information indicative of vehicle dynamic operation. The system predicts a relative position of the target feature within subsequent images such that only a portion of subsequent images need by analyzed and searched.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING SEAT BELT WEARING
