Photo tagging system and method
A system for matching one or more participants of an event to a digital photograph they appear in. An image processing module analyzes a digital photograph of the event where one more participants appear and identifies one or more barcodes worn by the participants. Each barcode comprises a matrix with a unique value associated with a participant ID. A matrix analysis module reads the identified matrix, calculates its value and matches the participant with said digital photograph the participant appears in.
Tracking road boundaries
Systems and methods of tracking a road boundary are provided. According to one aspect, a method of tracking a road boundary may include capturing an image from a camera, identifying a pair of regions of interest (ROI) in the image on each side of a candidate boundary position, extracting a color profile from each of the ROIs, generating a weighted color difference score by comparing the color profiles and weighting a difference between the color profiles based on a color similarity between colors in the color profiles, and outputting a determination of a detected boundary based upon the weighted color difference score.
Methods and Systems to Reduce Privacy Invasion and Methods and Systems to Thwart Same
Robust recognition systems to identify potentially identifying information that is contained within a dataset representing a system target are disclosed, together with related method. In an implementations, the systems and methods receive the dataset, identify features in the dataset that have a characteristic indicative of an expected feature, processes the identified features to yield a candidate feature, wherein the candidate feature is one feature contained within the identified features that has the highest probability of containing potentially identifying information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATIC ENROLLMENT OF OBJECT IMAGES INTO A GALLERY
Disclosed herein is a system and method of identifying new products on a retail shelf using a feature extractor trained to extract features from images of products on the shelf and output identifying information regarding the product in the product image. The extracted features are compared to extracted features in a product library and a best-fit is obtained. A new product is identified if the distance between the features of the product on the shelf and the features of the best-fit product from the product library are above a predetermined threshold.
METHOD FOR FINE-GRAINED SKETCH-BASED SCENE IMAGE RETRIEVAL
A sketch-based image retrieval method, device and system, to improve accuracy of image searching from a scene sketch image. For example, the image retrieval method, device and system can be used to retrieve a target scene image from a collection of stored images in a storage (i.e., an image collection). The image retrieval method includes: segmenting the scene sketch image using an image segmentation module into semantic object-level instances, and fine-grained features are obtained for each object instance, generating an attribute graph which integrates the fine-grained features for each semantic object instance detected from the query scene sketch image, generating a feature graph by using a graph encoder module from the attribute graph, and computing a similarity or distance between the feature graphs of the query scene sketch image and the scene images in the image collection by a graph matching module and the most similar scene images are returned.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORD MEDIUM FOR EVALUATING VIDEO QUALITY USING HOMOGRAPHY ESTIMATION
A method of video quality evaluation includes obtaining, by the at least one processor, a reference area of a reference video and a degraded area of a degraded video, based on a matching area of the reference video and the degraded video, using homography estimation; correcting, by the at least one processor, at least one of the reference area and the degraded area; and measuring, by the at least one processor, video quality of the degraded video by comparing a difference between the reference area and the degraded area through a full reference scheme.
IMAGE EVALUATION METHOD AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS THEREOF
An image evaluation method and an electronic apparatus thereof are provided. The method is adapted to the electronic apparatus installed at a vehicle for evaluating whether the vehicle is deviated from a lane, and the electronic apparatus includes at least one image capture unit. The method includes the following steps. An image related to driving environment is obtained by the image capture unit. According to an evaluation criterion, a plurality of candidate pair and corresponding candidate points in the image are evaluated from an arbitrary row of pixels of the image to recognize lane stripes in the image. A corresponding position of a feature portion of the vehicle corresponding to the image is calculated. The corresponding position of the feature portion corresponding to the image is compared with the lane stripes to determine whether the vehicle is towards or crosses over real lane stripes.
Image processing method, image processing device, and recording medium
An image processing method separates an input image into a skeleton component, and residual component. In the method a local variation amount, which is a variation amount between a target pixel and a pixel adjacent to the target pixel, is calculated; a skeleton component extraction filter weight is calculated based on the local variation amount; an image feature amount of a gradient direction of a pixel value around the target pixel, and an image feature amount of a gradient strength of the pixel value around the target pixel, are calculated; the skeleton component extraction filter weight is corrected based on these image feature amount; a skeleton component extraction filter coefficient is calculated based on the corrected skeleton component extraction filter weight; and the skeleton component is extracted by applying skeleton component extraction filtering to the target pixel using the calculated skeleton component extraction filter coefficient.
AUTOMATIC ASSESSMENT OF DAMAGE AND REPAIR COSTS IN VEHICLES
A system and method are provided for automatically estimating a repair cost for a vehicle. A method includes: receiving, at a server computing device over an electronic network, one or more images of a damaged vehicle from a client computing device; performing image processing operations on each of the one or more images to detect external damage to a first set of parts of the vehicle; inferring internal damage to a second set of parts of the vehicle based on the detected external damage; and, calculating an estimated repair cost for the vehicle based on the detected external damage and inferred internal damage based on accessing a parts database that includes repair and labor costs for each part in the first and second sets of parts.
Locker system for condition-based storing and return of an item
In certain embodiments, condition-based storing and return of an item associated with a user may be facilitated via a locker system. In some embodiments, attribute information indicating attributes of an item placed in the locker system may be obtained, and the attribute information may be processed to determine a categorization of the item. In response to the categorization satisfying one or more categorization conditions, product/service information related to a product or service may be provided for presentation to the user. In response to receiving user acceptance of the product or service, an item return condition may be assigned to the item. In response to the user satisfying the item return condition, access rights to the item may be enabled for the user.
