An example method comprises: receiving a current image of a series of images of an original document, wherein the current image at least partially overlaps with a previous image of the series of images; performing optical symbol recognition (OCR) of the current image to produce an OCR text and a corresponding text layout; identifying, using the OCR text and the corresponding text layout, a plurality of textual artifacts in each of the current image and the previous image, wherein each textual artifact is represented by a sequence of symbols that has a frequency of occurrence within the OCR text falling below a threshold frequency; identifying, in each of the current image and the previous image, a corresponding plurality of base points, wherein each base point is associated with at least one textural artifact of the plurality of textual artifacts; identifying, using coordinates of matching base points in the current image and the previous image, parameters of a coordinate transformation converting coordinates of the previous image into coordinates of the current image; associating, using the coordinate transformation, at least part of the OCR text with a cluster of a plurality of clusters of symbol sequences, wherein the OCR text is produced by processing the current image and wherein the symbol sequences are produced by processing one or more previously received images of the series of images; identifying, for each cluster, a median string representing the cluster of symbol sequences; and producing, using the median string, a resulting OCR text representing at least a portion of the original document.

Sub-clustering photographs for a digital picture frame

A method for automated routing of pictures taken on mobile electronic devices to a digital picture frame including a camera integrated with the frame, and a network connection module allowing the frame for direct contact and upload of photos from electronic devices or from photo collections of community members. The integrated camera is used to automatically determine an identity of a frame viewer and can capture gesture-based feedback. The displayed photos are automatically shown and/or changed according to the detected viewers. The photos can be filtered and cropped at the receiver side. Clustering photos by content is used to improve display and to respond to photo viewer desires.

A method includes accessing an audiovisual composition comprising a target video segment and a source video segment. The method also includes, in response to presence of the target video segment and the source video segment in the audiovisual composition: accessing a first keyword associated with the source video segment; and calculating a first relevance score for the first keyword relative to the target video segment based on a temporal position of the source video segment in the audiovisual composition and a temporal position of the target video segment in the audiovisual composition; accessing a textual query comprising the first keyword. The method additionally includes: generating a first query result based on the textual query, the first query result comprising the target video segment based on the first relevance score; and at a native composition application, rendering a representation of the first query result.

Multi-dimensional realization of visual content of an image collection

A computing system for realizing visual content of an image collection executes feature detection algorithms and semantic reasoning techniques on the images in the collection to elicit a number of different types of visual features of the images. The computing system indexes the visual features and provides technologies for multi-dimensional content-based clustering, searching, and iterative exploration of the image collection using the visual features and/or the visual feature indices.

SPATIAL ANALYSIS WITH ATTRIBUTE GRAPHS

Examples relate to providing spatial analysis using attribute graphs. In one examples, there are a number of spatial points that each represent characteristics in a dimensional space. Non-data points are generated in the dimensional space, and a Delaunay triangulation is performed using the spatial points and the non-data points to generate a plurality of edges, where interior points of the plurality of non-data points that are in an interior space of the plurality of spatial points are excluded from the Delaunay triangulation. Next, spatial edges from the plurality of edges that each connect a spatial point that is connected to a first mixed edge to another spatial point that is connected to a second mixed edge are identified, where the spatial edges are used to generate a robust contour of a cluster of the spatial points.
