A deployment handle for an expandable medical device, a handle having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen/passageway extending between the proximal and distal ends; an inner cannula; and a tension mechanism located inside the handle and secured to the inner cannula so that the inner cannula rotates when the tension mechanism is actuated.

Stent delivery system

A stent delivery system for delivering a stent, the stent delivery system having a push catheter, a guide member, and an elongated stent securing material having a first portion arranged to a push catheter outer surface, a second portion, a third portion, and a fourth portion arranged to the push catheter outer surface, in that order. The first portion and the fourth portion are arranged to the push catheter outer surface such that only one of the first portion and the fourth portion is present on a cross-section plane orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The stent delivery system is configured to have a secured configuration in which the guide member is arranged within a push catheter lumen and a stent lumen and through a loop formed by a section between the second portion and the third portion to secure the stent.

Actively controllable stent, stent graft, heart valve and method of controlling same

A method for implanting a stent includes contracting a self-expanding/forcibly-expanding stent of a shape-memory material set to a given shape to a reduced implantation size with a delivery system having drive wires. The stent has a selectively adjustable assembly with adjustable elements operatively connected to the drive wires such that, when the adjustable elements are adjusted by the drive wires, a configuration change in at least a portion of the self-expanding stent occurs. The contracted stent is inserted into a native annulus in which the stent is to be implanted. The drive wires are rotated with the delivery system to forcibly expand the stent into the native annulus. While rotating the drive wires, a torque applied to the drive wires is determined with the delivery system. Rotation of the drive wires is stopped based upon a value of the determined torque.

MODULAR HANDLE COMPRISING A TRIGGER WIRE ACTUATION MECHANISM FOR A PROSTHESIS DELIVERY DEVICE

A handle assembly for a prosthesis delivery device is disclosed. The handle assembly comprises a stationary main handle having a proximal end and a distal end and an outer surface extending therebetween. A first helical groove is formed in at least a portion of the outer surface of the main handle and a first trigger wire actuation mechanism disposed about the main handle and rotatably moveable relative to the main handle. A first trigger wire is operatively connected to the first trigger wire actuation mechanism, the first trigger wire having a prosthesis capture condition and a prosthesis release condition. Movement of the first trigger wire actuation mechanism causes movement of the first trigger wire thereby moving the first trigger wire from the prosthesis capture condition to the prosthesis release condition. Additional trigger wire actuation mechanisms operatively connected to one or more additional trigger wires may also be disposed about the main handle.

TRANSCATHETER PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH DISTAL CUTTING ASSEMBLY

The disclosure relates to transcatheter stented prosthesis delivery devices including a handle assembly connected to a shaft assembly on which a stented prosthesis is loaded and compressively retained with a plurality of elongate tension members. The delivery devices include a cutting assembly that can sever the elongate tension members after the stented prosthesis is expanded at a target site so that the delivery device can be withdrawn from the patient. Certain embodiments position the cutting assembly at least within the shaft assembly and others position the cutting assembly over the shaft assembly. Various disclosed cutting assemblies are actuated with the handle assembly or the like, which draw the tension members across the blade or vice versa.

GASTROINTESTINAL IMPLANT DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The present invention provides delivery systems for positioning a gastrointestinal implant in a patient, for example, for treatment of a metabolic disease. Also provided are methods for assembling the delivery systems, methods of positioning a gastrointestinal implant, and methods of treatment of metabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), obesity, and related comorbidities thereof.

REPOSITIONABLE AND REMOVABLE STENTS

An illustrative endoluminal implant having an elongated tubular member. The elongated tubular member having a stent and a retrieval suture interwoven with the stent. The retrieval suture including a first suture loop extending about a circumference of the stent and adjacent to a suture retrieval loop and a second suture loop extending about a circumference of the stent and longitudinally spaced from the first suture loop. The first and second suture loops coupled via one or more interconnecting segments. At least one of the first or second suture loops has an arc length of less than 270° of the circumference of the stent.

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods for medical device delivery. The apparatuses, systems, and methods may include at least one loop attached to a catheter shaft and extending through a medical device and a release line held in place by passing through the loop.

STENT FOR SPLINTING A VEIN, AND SYSTEM FOR PUTTING IN PLACE A STENT
20170304093 · 2017-10-26 ·

The invention relates to a stent and a system for putting in place a stent. Said stent is used especially for splinting a vein and consists of a braided, tubular supporting member (2) that has a minimum length of 60 mm. The supporting member is braided from one or more wires in such a way that portions of the wire or wires, resp., delimit rhombuses. The disclosed stent is characterized in that in the unloaded state of the stent, the longitudinal size of most of the rhombuses (7) in the longitudinal direction (15) of the stent (1) is not shorter than the transversal size of the rhombuses.
