Method of analysing a video of sports motion
09744421 · 2017-08-29 · ·

A method, apparatus, system and computer program product for analyzing video images of a sports motion is provided for identification of key motion positions within a video and automatic extraction of segments of a video containing a sports motion. Video data displaying a sports motion has data representative of a number of image frames. For a number of image frames, one or more frame difference measures are calculated between the image frame and another image frame. The frame difference measures are analyzed to identify a plurality of image frames that each show a key position of the sports motion. The segment of the video containing the sports motion showing the sports motion is between two of the image frames showing the key positions. Frame difference measures may be calculated based on pixel difference measures or optical flow techniques.

GENERATING A VIRTUAL WORLD TO ASSESS REAL-WORLD VIDEO ANALYSIS PERFORMANCE
20170243083 · 2017-08-24 · ·

A system and method are suited for assessing video performance analysis. A computer graphics engine clones real-world data in a virtual world by decomposing the real-world data into visual components and objects in one or more object categories and populates the virtual world with virtual visual components and virtual objects. A scripting component controls the virtual visual components and the virtual objects in the virtual world based on the set of real-world data. A synthetic clone of the video sequence is generated based on the script controlling the virtual visual components and the virtual objects. The real-world data is compared with the synthetic clone of the video sequence and a transferability of conclusions from the virtual world to the real-world is assessed based on this comparison.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SUMMARY INFORMATION OF A VIDEO

A method of providing a summary of a video in an electronic device includes determining first summary frames from among a plurality of frames of the video, based on a preset criterion; generating a plurality of pieces of first summary information corresponding to the first summary frames; and displaying at least one of the first summary frames and the plurality of pieces of first summary information, together with at least one frame of the video.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND VIDEO RECORDING METHOD THEREOF
20170243065 · 2017-08-24 ·

Disclosed are an electronic device and a video recording method thereof. The electronic device may select multiple first image frames acquired by an image acquisition apparatus during a first time period after a recording start command is input, may select multiple second image frames acquired during a second time period before input of a recording end command corresponding to the recording start command after the first time period, and may generate a video including the selected image frames.

Systems and Methods to Generate Comic Books or Graphic Novels from Videos
20170242833 · 2017-08-24 ·

Systems and methods which auto-create a comic book from a movie, TV show or user generated videos. The comic book can be read in an eBook or print format. This gives the user an alternate way of consuming video content by “reading” it, instead of watching and listening to it.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND DEVICE OPERABLE TO PRODUCE A VIDEO
20220036091 · 2022-02-03 ·

A system, method and device operable to produce a video are disclosed herein. The system, method and device, in an embodiment, involve a recording session resulting in a video track. During the recording session, inputs are received at different points in time and a set of data markers are stored based on each one of the inputs. Each set has a first data marker and a second data marker, and the first data marker is chronologically located before the point in time of the input related to the set. Before or after the recording session, an additional input is received that is associated with an output. The output includes a visual output, an audio output or a combination thereof. A video is produced that has one or more desired portions of the video track. The video excludes at least one undesired portion of the video track, and the video includes the output or is otherwise playable to provide the output.

Identifying stories in media content

Techniques associated with identifying stories in media content are described in various implementations. In one example implementation, a method may include receiving media content, and segmenting the media content into a plurality of media segments based on auditory indicators included in the media content. The method may also include analyzing a first media segment to determine a first set of concepts associated with the first media segment, and analyzing a second media segment to determine a second set of concepts associated with the second media segment. The method may further include comparing the first set of concepts to the second set of concepts to determine a conceptual similarity between the first set of concepts and the second set of concepts, and in response to the conceptual similarity exceeding a similarity threshold, identifying a story that includes the first media segment and the second media segment.

AUTOMATIC DIGITAL CONTENT CAPTIONING USING SPATIAL RELATIONSHIPS METHOD AND APPARATUS

Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for automatically creating a caption comprising a sequence of words in connection with digital content.

AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF PEOPLE GROUPS AND IMAGE-BASED CREATIONS

Implementations described herein relate to methods, devices, and computer-readable media to generate and provide image-based creations. A computer-implemented method includes obtaining a plurality of episodes, each episode associated with a corresponding time period and including a respective set of images and person identifiers for each image. The method further includes forming a respective cluster for each episode that includes at least two person identifiers. The method further includes determining whether one or more person identifiers are included in less than a threshold number of clusters, and in response, removing the one or more person identifiers from the clusters that the one or more person identifiers that are included in. The method further includes merging identical clusters to obtain a plurality of people groups that each include two or more person identifiers and providing a user interface that includes an image-based creation based on a particular people group.

IMAGE/VIDEO ANALYSIS WITH ACTIVITY SIGNATURES
20220036090 · 2022-02-03 ·

Video frames from a video are compressed into a single image or a single data structure that represents a unique visual flowprint or visual signature for a given activity being modeled from the video frames. The flowprint comprises a computed summary of the original pixel values associated with the video frames within the single image and the flowprint is specific to movements occurring within the video frames that are associated with the given activity. In an embodiment, the flowprint is provided as input to a machine-learning algorithm to allow the algorithm to perform object tracking and monitoring from the flowprint rather than from the video frames of the video, which substantially improves processor load and memory utilization on a device that executes the algorithm, and substantially improved responsiveness of the algorithm.
