Systems and methods for enrollment and identity management using mobile imaging
Systems and methods for automatic enrollment and identity verification based upon processing a captured image of a document are disclosed herein. Various embodiments enable, for example, a user to enroll in a particular service by taking a photograph of a particular document (e.g., his driver license) with a mobile device. One or more algorithms can then extract relevant data from the captured image. The extracted data (e.g., the person's name, gender, date of birth, height, weight, etc.) can then be used to automatically populate various fields of an enrollment application, thereby reducing the amount of information that the user has to manually input into his mobile device in order to complete the enrollment process. In some embodiments, a set of internal and/or external checks can be run against the data to ensure that the data is valid, has been read correctly, and is consistent with other data.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CHECKING A MARKING OF A PRODUCT
A method for checking a marking of a product. In an image acquisition step (3) at least one image (4) of the marking arranged on a surface of the product is acquired by a calibrated test camera, and in a layout checking step (1), using the at least one recorded image (4), the quality of the marking applied on the surface is checked with respect to static data such as position and machine-readability. Using the at least one image (4) recorded by the test camera, in addition to the checking of the quality of the marking in the layout checking step (1), in a code checking step (2), variable product information (12) contained in the marking is acquired and the acquired variable product information is compared with reference information from a reference information database (13). A correspondence characteristic is determined by means of the comparison.
Document Image Blur Assessment
The disclosure includes a system and method for determining a first measure of blur value associated with a first portion of a document under test; determining a second measure of blur value associated with a second portion of the document under test; determining whether an inconsistency in a set measure of blur values associated with the document under test is present, wherein the set of measure of blur values associated with the document under test includes the first measure of blur value and the second measure of blur value; and modifying a likelihood that the document is accepted or rejected based on whether the inconsistency is absent or present, respectively
METHOD OF TRAINING TEXT QUALITY ASSESSMENT MODEL AND METHOD OF DETERMINING TEXT QUALITY
A method of training a text quality assessment model, a method of determining text quality, an electronic device, and a storage medium are provided. The method of training the text quality assessment model includes: determining a first text satisfying a condition of being a negative sample and a second text satisfying a condition of being a positive sample from a plurality of texts based on indicators for the texts; for any text of the first text and the second text, adding a label to the text based on the condition satisfied by the text, wherein the label indicates a category of the text, and the category includes a low-quality category for the negative sample and a non-low-quality category for the positive sample; and constituting a training set by the first text having a label and the second text having a label, to train the text quality assessment model.
Character defect detection method and device
A character defect detection method and device are disclosed. The character defect detection method comprises: acquiring an image to be inspected containing a character and a template character image corresponding to the character, and converting the image to be inspected into an image having a format consistent with a format of the template character image; extracting a first valid area containing the character from the image to be inspected, and extracting a second valid area containing a template character from the template character image; obtaining a first image based on the first valid area, and obtaining a second image based on the second valid area; calculating a transformed image indicating an information difference between the first image and the second image based on the first image and the second image; and obtaining a character defect detection result of the image to be inspected based on information of the transformed image.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus of the present invention including: an acquisition unit configured to acquire a partial image acquired by capturing a portion of a subject including character strings; a storage unit configured to store a candidate character string among character strings recognized in the partial image in association with a full image obtained by capturing the entire subject; a specifying unit configured to specify a character string to be obtained by evaluating the candidate character string by using a condition relating to the candidate character string stored in the storage unit; and a generating unit configured to generate a partial image of the subject, the partial image of the subject including the character string to be obtained that is specified by the specifying unit.
Image processing apparatus and computer-readable storage medium
An image processing system according to an embodiment includes a cart having a first processor and a camera mounted on the cart. The camera photographs an object and generates an image. The first processor corrects focus of the camera based on correction information to bring the camera into focus with the object to be photographed. A second processor: calculates a standard deviation and an entropy based on tone information of pixels in the image, calculates a ratio between the standard deviation and the entropy, compares the ratio and a reference value, determines the correction information based on the comparison result, and provides the correction information to the first processor.
Validating digital content rendering
Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for validating an electronic publication and determining a source of identified errors in a rendering of the electronic publication. The rendering may be captured as a rendered image and rendered data may be extracted from the rendering. The rendered data may be compared to actual input data to the renderer used to generate the rendered image. If errors are visible in the rendering, a source of the errors may be identified based on the comparison between the extracted rendered data to the actual input data. If errors are not visible in the rendering, the rendering may be validated.
Data extraction from short business documents
Systems and methods for document analysis. An image containing at least one document is received at a pre-processing stage and the image is analyzed for image quality. If the image quality is insufficient for further processing, this is adjusted until the image is suitable for further processing. After the image quality adjustment, the image is then passed to an initial processing stage. At the initial processing stage, the boundaries of one or more documents within the image are determined. In addition, the orientation of the image may be adjusted and the type of document(s) within the image is determined. From the initial processing stage, the adjusted image is then passed to a data extraction stage. At this stage, clusters of data within the document are determined and bounding boxes are placed around the clusters. Data regarding each of the clusters of data is then gathered.
Method for Operating a Press, Computer Program and Electronically Readable Data Carrier
Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for operating a press in which circuit boards are reshaped. The circuit boards each have a unique serial number. An electronic computing device stores measured values characterizing the associated circuit board for the respective serial number. A capture device in a feed area in which the circuit boards are fed into the press is used to produce images of the serial number. A recognition unit is used to recognize the serial numbers in the images. A recognition rate is determined.
