The device may determine, using a printhead analysis model, a status of a printhead of the printer based on the print data and a characteristic of the content, wherein the printhead analysis model is trained based on reference data associated with historical printing operations associated with one or more printers, wherein the reference data includes reference images associated with printed content from the historical printing operations and corresponding resistance measurements for one or more respective printheads of the one or more printers. The device may perform, based on the status, an action associated with the printhead of the printer.

Disclosed is a method of classifying a document for a straight-through processing (STP) using memory enabled modelling. The method includes receiving, performing a content extraction from the input image, and selecting a template with the highest matching probability from a database. The method further includes postprocessing the extracted content based on the predicted template and validating the extracted content. Thereafter, the method includes classifying the document for the STP if the extracted content is successfully validated corresponding to each of the image quality validation, the refined content extraction validation, and the layout validation.

The circuitry performs image processing repeatedly on the captured image while changing setting values of the plurality of setting items with a setting value of the at least one setting item restricted to the at least one setting value selected as the candidate for the recommended setting. The circuitry determines recommended settings for the plurality of setting items relating to image processing to obtain an image suitable for character recognition.

There is disclosed a method of analyzing a digital image of a document (to determine, as example, a document suitability for server-based OCR processing) in a computer system that includes a user electronic device (for acquiring or storing a digital image of a document) connectable to a server (for executing the server-based OCR processing of the digital image to create a recognized-text document). The method is executable by the user electronic device and comprises: acquiring the digital image of the document; analyzing an OCR quality parameter associated with a compressed digital image to be created from the digital image using a compression algorithm and a compression parameter; in response to the OCR quality parameter being above or equal to a pre-determined threshold: transmitting the compressed digital image to the server. Optionally, the method further comprises compressing the digital image using the compression algorithm and the compression parameter to create the compressed digital image before transmission thereof.

Automated license plate recognition system and related method

Systems, methods, devices and computer readable media for determining a geographical location of a license plate are described herein. A first image of a license plate is acquired by a first image acquisition device of a camera unit and a second image of the license plate is acquired by a second image acquisition device of the camera unit. A three-dimensional position of the license plate relative to the camera unit is determined based on stereoscopic image processing of the first image and the second image. A geographical location of the camera unit is obtained. A geographical location of the license plate is determined from the three-dimensional position of the license plate relative to the camera unit and the geographical location of the camera unit. Method and system for digitization of document

A method and a system for digitization of a document are disclosed. The document is scanned to generate an electronic document. One or more characters in a first set of portions of the electronic document are identified, based on a character recognition technique. Each portion in the first set of portions is classified in one or more groups based on at least a status of identification of the corresponding one or more characters. Further, one or more tasks are created for each of the one or more groups. The one or more tasks are transmitted to one or more crowdworkers, based at least on the respective type of the one or more tasks. Further, a response for each of the one or more tasks is received. Based on the received response, a digitized document is generated.

A method is provided for providing automated testing of an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system. An automated testing framework may convert original text files to images of various formats and resolutions. The images may comprise various fonts and layouts according to a document type. The images may be processed by the OCR system to generate a converted text file. Converted text files may be compared to original text files and an OCR accuracy score may be calculated.
