Hand-drawn diagram recognition using visual arrow-relation detection
Computer-readable media, methods, and systems are disclosed for converting a diagram into a digital diagram format. A diagram is received as an image file and a plurality of recognition stages produce a final diagram based on predicted information from one or more of the recognition stages. The plurality of recognition stages including a shape detection stage for detecting a plurality of shapes and at least one arrow detection stage in which arrows are detected as relations between pairs of shapes. The final diagram is generated based on the predicted information and is converted into the digital diagram format compatible with a diagram modeling language.

Terminal device, information processing device, object identifying method, program, and object identifying system
A device, apparatus, and method provide logic for processing information. In one implementation, a device may include an image acquisition unit configured to acquire an image, and a transmission unit configured to transmit information associated with the image to an information processing apparatus, such as a server. The server may be associated with a first feature quantity dictionary. The device also may include a receiving unit configured to receive a second feature quantity dictionary from the server in response to the transmission. The second feature quantity dictionary may include less information than the first feature quantity dictionary, and the server may generate the second feature quantity dictionary based on the image information and the first feature quantity dictionary. The device may include an identification unit configured to identify an object within the image using the second feature quantity dictionary.

METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR INTELLIGENTLY SHARING CONTENT
A method for intelligently sharing a content by an electronic device is provided. The method includes determining, by the electronic device, a context of sharing the content. The method includes analyzing, by the electronic device, the content with reference to the context. The method includes identifying, by the electronic device, portions of the content as non-shareable based on the analysis. The method includes providing, by the electronic device, a modification action suggestion on the portions identified as non-shareable.
Coordinate input processing apparatus, emotion estimation apparatus, emotion estimation system, and building apparatus for building emotion estimation-oriented database
A coordinate input processing apparatus includes a position detection apparatus and a communication circuit. The position detection apparatus includes a sensor which detects a position pointed to by an electronic pen, and circuitry which acquires pen state information regarding a state of the electronic pen held by a person. The communication circuit transmits to an emotion estimation apparatus coordinates corresponding to the position pointed to by the electronic pen and the pen state information in an emotional state estimation request, and receives from the emotion estimation apparatus the coordinates corresponding to the position pointed to by the electronic pen, the pen state information included in the emotional state estimation request, and the information regarding the distracted state of the person holding the electronic pen in an emotional state estimation response having the same format as the emotional state estimation request.
DISPLAY APPARATUS, DISPLAY SYSTEM, DISPLAY METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A display apparatus includes circuitry to receive an operation of changing a direction of display of a character string displayed in a first direction on a display, and control the display to display a converted character string in a second direction corresponding to the operation of changing. The converted character string is converted from the character string into a target language associated with the second direction.
Generating visual feedback
A method for generating visual feedback based on a textual representation comprising obtaining and processing a textual representation, identifying at least one textual feature of the textual representation, assigning at least one feature value to the at least one textual feature, and generating visual feedback based on the textual representation. The generated visual feedback comprises at least one visual feature corresponding to the at least one textual feature. A system for generating visual feedback based on a textual representation, comprising a capturing subsystem configured to capture the textual representation, a processing subsystem configured to identify at least one textual feature and to generate visual feedback based on the textual representation, and a graphical user output configured to display the generated visual feedback. The visual feedback generated based on the textual representation comprises at least one visual feature corresponding to the at least one textual feature.
PORTABLE TIRE SCANNERS AND RELATED METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for determining the identity of markings on tires. A portable tire scanner can comprise one or more light sources and detector that reflect light off tire markings and capture imagery of them. The scanner is operable to process the imagery to determine the identity of the markings. The marking can be the same color as the area of the tire around the marking (e.g., black-on-black) and the scanner can identify the marking by determining angular edges of the markings. Plural light sources and/or detectors can be used to provide plural perspectives to better determine the edges of the markings. The housing can have a form factor that allows the scanner to be hand-held, such that a user can aim the scanner at tires even while on a vehicle or in hard to reach positions. The scanner can be used to scan and identify several tire marking in succession.
