USER INTERFACES FOR DETECTING OBJECTS
In some embodiments, an computer system detects objects, such as physical objects in the physical environment of the electronic device. In some embodiments, the computer system presents indications of characteristics of the physical objects. In some embodiments, the physical objects are entry points to physical locations.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR KEYPOINT EXTRACTION FROM IMAGES OF DOCUMENTS
Keypoint extraction is done for extracting keypoints from images of documents. Based on different keypoint extraction approaches used by existing keypoint extraction mechanisms, number of keypoints extracted and related parameters vary. Disclosed herein is a method and system for keypoint extraction from images of one or more documents. In this method, a reference image and a test image of a document are collected as input. During the keypoint extraction, based on types of characters present in words extracted from the document images, a plurality of words are extracted. Further, all connected components in each of the extracted words are identified. Further, it is decided whether keypoints are to be searched in a first component or in a last component of all the identified connected components, and accordingly searches and extracts at least four of the keypoints from the test image and the corresponding four keypoints from the reference image.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PROCESSING USER'S INQUIRY, AND OPERATION METHOD OF THE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device for providing a corrected response message according to an utterance intention of a user by using a keyword included in an input inquiry input by the user, and an operation method of the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes receiving the input inquiry input by the user, identifying a representative inquiry according to an utterance intention of the user by analyzing the input inquiry by using a natural language understanding (NLU) model, extracting a keyword from the input inquiry by comparing a vector value of a first embedding vector of the input inquiry changed through the NLU model with a vector value of a second embedding vector of the representative inquiry, and correcting a response message mapped to correspond to the representative inquiry, by using the extracted keyword.
DOCUMENT CREATION SUPPORT APPARATUS, DOCUMENT CREATION SUPPORT METHOD, AND DOCUMENT CREATION SUPPORT PROGRAM
A document creation support apparatus comprising at least one processor, wherein the processor is configured to: acquire an image and a character string related to the image; extract at least one feature region included in the image; specify a specific region that is a region corresponding to a phrase included in the character string, in the feature region; and present information for supporting creation of a document including the character string based on a result of the specifying.
DIGITAL IMAGE GENERATION THROUGH AN ACTIVE LIGHTING SYSTEM
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for an active lighting system. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a first image of the physical document having a first glare signature and a second image of the physical document having a second glare signature that is different from the first glare signature; determining a first glare map of the first image and a second glare map of the second image; comparing the first glare map to the second glare map; and generating the digital image based on the comparison of the first and second glare maps.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEVERAGING MACHINE LEARNING FOR CUSTOMIZED INSTALLATION OF ACCESS CONTROL HARDWARE
A method of customized installation of access control hardware according to one embodiment includes capturing, by a camera of a mobile device, at least one image of an installation location for the access control hardware, generating a set of customized installation instructions for the access control hardware at the installation location based on the at least one image, and displaying the customized installation instructions on a graphical user interface of the mobile device.
Managing Suspended Customer Transactions in a Retail Environment
A network node associated with a retail store receives digital images from customers who have initiated a customer transaction at a first location. The digital images are unique and are associated with the transaction. The transaction is then temporarily suspended. To resume the transaction, the customer provides information describing features of the previously provided digital image. The network node uses this information to locate the corresponding digital image, and thus, the corresponding suspended transaction, and to authenticate the customer to resume the transaction. Provided the customer is authenticated, the node resumes the suspended transaction.
INFORMATION EXTRACTION FROM DOCUMENTS CONTAINING HANDWRITTEN TEXT
A method, computer system, and a computer program product for information extraction is provided. The present invention may include receiving, by a handwriting detection model of an integrated system, a mixed-text document including a combination of typed text and handwritten text, where the received mixed-text document includes at least one key-value pair. The present invention may also include receiving, by the handwriting detection model of the integrated system, a first location information of at least one key from the at least one key-value pair in the received mixed-text document. The present invention may further include detecting, by the handwriting detection model of the integrated system, at least one handwritten text in the received mixed-text document based on the received first location information of the at least one key.
IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
To speed up image processing, an obtaining means of an image processing system obtains a captured image of a document that includes a fixed part and an un-fixed part, where the document is captured by an image reader or an image capture device. A first shaping means shapes the captured image based on a feature of the document in a sample image and a feature of the document in the captured image so as to obtain a first shaped image. A detecting means detects a feature part of the fixed part from the first shaped image. A second shaping means shapes the first shaped image such that a position of the feature part detected by the detecting means is aligned with a predetermined position so as to obtain a second shaped image.
Efficient use of training data in data capture for Commercial Documents
An automated method for capturing data from electronic images of commercial documents such as invoices, bills of lading, explanations of benefits, etc. is described. An optimal mapping between the fields of interest in an image of a page of a document and the corresponding fields of a pre-trained image of a page of a similar document is defined. This mapping allows an automatic precise extraction of data from the fields of interest in an image regardless of distortions the image is subjected to in the process of scanning.
