INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
According to one embodiment, an information processing device includes a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to acquire an image, determine a likelihood of presence of an objected within the image, display information on a position of the object within the image based on the likelihood, identify the object within the image, and generate a recognition result based on the identified object.
SCORING METHOD AND SYSTEM
A method to score a round of golf using a golf scoring system. The method includes capturing a photograph of a physical scorecard including handwritten text using a camera of a user device, wherein the physical scorecard includes handwritten characters disposed at least partially within rectilinear boxes. The method also includes accessing the photograph in an application of the user device. The method also includes identifying the rectilinear boxes by using a color contrast between the rectilinear boxes of the physical scorecard and a background color of the physical scorecard. The method also includes removing the rectilinear boxes. The method also includes after removing the rectilinear boxes, extracting at least the handwritten characters from the physical scorecard. The method also includes after extracting at least the handwritten characters, calculating a score of the round of golf using the extracted handwritten characters on the application.
Electronic device and method for identifying sentence indicated by strokes
A processor of an electronic device is configured to display a plurality of strokes in the display. The processor is configured to display, in response to a first input indicating selection of at least one character distinguished by the strokes, a first visual object for identifying a first sentence including the at least one character. The processor is configured to identify, in response to a second input indicating selection of the first visual object, strokes included in the first sentence among the strokes, based on a spacing between a first word including the at least one character and a second word, and moments of a plurality of words including the first word, and the second word are inputted. The processor is configured to display, in the display based on identification of the strokes included in the first sentence, a second visual object corresponding to the identified strokes among the strokes.

Advanced formatting of ink data using spatial information and semantic context
In some examples, systems and methods for formatting ink are provided. Ink stroke data may be received, letters may be identified from the ink stroke data, and spacing may be identified between the letters. A user command and semantic context may be received. An action may be determined based on the user command, the semantic context, and the spacing between the letters. Further, the action may be performed.
