Image processing method and system
A computer implemented method of processing an image, comprising: obtaining an input image; converting the input image into a binary image; processing the binary image using a first trained model that performs classification of image components as part of a character.
HANDWRITING RECOGNITION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A handwriting recognition method is provided, which includes: obtaining handwritten original trajectory data in real-time; compressing the handwritten original trajectory data, to obtain compressed handwritten trajectory data; and inputting the compressed handwritten trajectory data into a compressed handwriting recognition model for recognition, to obtain a text recognition result corresponding to the handwritten original trajectory data. A handwriting recognition model is obtained by training with handwritten trajectory data of each piece of training data in a training data set, and the compressed handwriting recognition model is obtained by performing model compression on the handwriting recognition model. The handwriting recognition method can address the problem in the related art that the handwriting recognition accuracy is low caused by incorrect segmentation, thereby effectively improving the handwriting recognition accuracy.
SKETCH-PROCESSING
A computer-implemented method for sketch-processing. The method including obtaining one or more input sketches and determining one or more output sketches from the one or more input sketches. Each output sketch is closed and manifold. The determining of the one or more output sketches includes constructing a set of manifold sketches including each manifold input sketch. The constructing of the set of manifold sketches includes, for each respective non-manifold input sketch, determining two or more respective manifold sketches based on at least one intra-sketch intersection of the respective non-manifold input sketch. The determining of the one or more output sketches includes combining each pair of manifold sketches of the constructed set that share at least two intersections, to form one or more closed and manifold sketches. The method forms an improved solution for sketch-processing.
DISPLAY APPARATUS, FORMATTING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-EXECUTABLE MEDIUM
A display apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry receives an input of hand drafted data. The circuitry displays, as an object, the hand drafted data or text converted from the hand drafted data. The circuitry adjusts attribute values of multiple objects being displayed, the multiple objects including the object displayed based on the input.
Writing device with electromagnetic tracking
An electromagnetic (EM) pose tracking system includes a computer input device having a pen or stylus form factor. In some embodiments, a base station device includes one of the transmitter (Tx) or receiver (Rx) module for the EM pose tracking system while the computer input device includes the other of the TX and receiver modules. The EM pose tracking system employs the Tx and Rx modules to collect EM pose data indicating a relative pose between the Tx and Rx modules. Based on the EM pose data, the EM pose tracking system (or a computer device working with the EM pose tracking system) identifies a pose (position, orientation, or both position and orientation) of the computer input device.
CONTENT SHARING DEVICE, METHOD, PROGRAM, AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING CONTENT DERIVED FROM DIGITAL INK
A content sharing device includes a content acquisition circuit configured to acquire main content and sub-content, at least one of which is derived from digital ink, and a transmission processing circuit configured to, in response to receipt of a request made by a terminal device operated by a user, select either first provision data or second provision data depending on usage rights of the user and transmit the first or second provision data that has been selected to the terminal device. The first provision data includes only the main content, while the second provision data includes both the main content and the sub-content. The sub-content includes content generated using a plurality of content elements that are generated before the main content is published or content generated using a plurality of content elements that are generated after the main content is published.
HOME UI SYSTEM FOR MANAGING DIGITAL INK
A home user interface (UI) system for managing digital ink is provided. The home UI system includes a plurality of state sensors capable of detecting a state in a house or a change in the state, and a plurality of home-use devices that are provided in the house or that form part of the house and that each include a handwriting sensor capable of detecting handwriting made by a person. The home UI system further includes one or more notification units that are configured to notify the person of the existence of the home-use device or a detectable region of the handwriting sensor of the home-use device. The home UI system further includes a controller which, when it is determined that a notification is necessary from a detection result of one or more of the state sensors, instructs at least one of the notification units to carry out the notification.
Handwriting detector, extractor, and language classifier
Disclosed are methods for handwriting recognition. In some aspects, an image representing a page of a sample document is analyzed to identify a region having indications of handwriting. The region is analyzed to determine frequencies of a plurality of geometric features within the region. The frequencies may be compared to profiles or histograms of known language types, to determine if there are similarities between the frequencies in the sample document relative to those of the known language types. In some aspects, machine learning may be used to characterize the document as a particular language type based on the frequencies of the geometric features.
MACHINE-LEARNING BASED AUTOMATED DOCUMENT INTEGRATION INTO GENEALOGICAL TREES
Systems and methods for importing documents are described. An input image is received and preprocessed. OCR and/or page segmentation and chapter detection are performed. Special-case processing is performed for lists, tables, free text, and other categories. Anaphora analysis, stemming, lemmatization, and relationship detection are performed. A genealogical tree is generated, augmented, or merged based on the extracted entities and relationships.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A PRINTED COPY OF A PRINT FILE ACCORDING TO A DYNAMIC PRESSURE PROFILE
One variation of a method includes accessing a print file including a set of vector coordinates defining motion of a writing instrument on a surface for printing a string in a typeface corresponding to a user handwriting profile. The method further includes, during a print period: manipulating the writing instrument on the surface according to the set of vector coordinates to generate a printed copy of the string; regulating pressure applied by the writing instrument to the surface according to a pressure profile; and accessing a feed of images of the surface. The method further includes, during the print period: detecting a character defect of a defect type in a set of printed characters, in the printed copy, based on features extracted from an image in the feed of images; selecting a recovery mode configured to mitigate the defect type; and updating the pressure profile according to the recovery mode.
