INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a second recognition unit, an information processing unit, and an information output unit. The second recognition unit recognizes, by second recognition processing, a destination of an article with the destination. not recognized by first recognition processing by a first recognition unit. The information processing unit generates recognition processing information proving that the second recognition processing has been executed by the second recognition unit. The information output unit outputs the recognition processing information.
Mail processing system with increased first and second pass sorting speed
A mail processing system utilizes a conveyor to shingle or de-shingle mailpieces as they move through the processing system and utilizes belts to move the mailpieces. A first shingling conveyor moves a first mailpiece to overlap with a second mailpiece to create shingled mailpieces. A second shingling conveyor moves a first mailpiece away from a second mailpiece to de-shingle them to create singulated mailpieces. A camera takes images of the mailpieces in the conveyor and image analysis software is used to determine dimensional aspects of the mailpieces that are used to control the belt speeds to move mailpieces with respect to each other. A mail processing system may include a mail processing station that scans addresses, applies postage and/or weighs the mailpieces. Mail may be de-shingled prior to being weighed and then re-shingled for subsequent processing, or mail may be shingled prior to passing through a scale if weighing is not necessary.
Server and related method for managing parcel delivery
Server for use in directing a mail element or package delivery is configured for determining if a mail element or package is destined for a location inside a local market or outside the local market, wherein the local market includes a plurality of post offices within a distance from a post office where the mail element or package initially arrives upon, and wherein a route determination is executed by sorting the mail element or package with an automated or robotic machine directed by the server. When the mail element or package is destined for a location inside the local market, the server directs transport of the mail element or package to a destination post office within the local market. When the mail element or package is destined for a location outside the local market, the server directs transport of the mail element or package to a regional center.
IMAGE RETRIEVAL SYSTEM
In some examples, it is disclosed a method for generating an image retrieval system configured to rank a plurality of images of cargo from a dataset of images, in response to a query corresponding to an image of cargo of interest generated using penetrating radiation. The method may involve obtaining a plurality of annotated training images including cargo, each of the training images being associated with an annotation indicating a type of the cargo in the training image, and training the image retrieval system by applying a deep learning algorithm to the obtained annotated training images. The training may involve applying, to the annotated training images, a feature extraction convolutional neural network, and applying an aggregated generalized mean pooling layer associated with image spatial information.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR POSITIONING EXPRESS PARCEL
A method and apparatus for locating an express package. The method includes: receiving an express locating request, where the express locating request is used to locate an express waybill corresponding to a target express package from an express image presenting express packages, and the express locating request includes express information; searching for pre-stored location information of the express waybill corresponding to the express information; generating an express locating result image by means of the location information, where the express locating result image includes a locating identifier, and the locating identifier is used to indicate the express waybill corresponding to the target express package from the express image; and outputting the express locating result image.
Detecting a Moving Stream of Objects
A camera device for detecting a stream of objects moved relative to the camera device is provided that has an image sensor for recording image data of the objects, a geometry detection sensor for measuring the objects, and a control and evaluation unit that is configured to determine at least one region of interest using measured data of the geometry detection sensor to restrict the evaluation of the image data to the region of interest. In this respect, the image sensor has a configuration unit to enable the reading of only a settable portion of the respectively recorded image data; and the control and evaluation unit is configured only to read a portion of the image data from the image sensor that is determined with reference to the region of interest.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE MOVEMENT VISIBILITY IN WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
Present disclosure provides a method and system for package movement visibility in warehouse operations. The method includes identifying, by the package management system (1000), an object entering AOE and moving in a predetermined direction and recording, by the package management system (1000), image frame of the object. The method also includes determining, by the package management system (1000), that the object in the image frame is a package and determining, by the package management system (1000), a label on the package from the image frame. Further, the method also includes determining, by the package management system (1000), a match to the label in a cloud platform (400) and sending, by the package management system (1000), tracking details associated with the package based on the match to the label in the cloud platform (400), to a client device in real-time.
Method and system for mapping to facilitate dispatching
A method at a server for container location verification within a container yard, the method including requesting image data from at least one image sensor apparatus affixed to a container within the container yard; receiving the image data; and processing the image data to identify a location of a target container.

Address recognition apparatus, sorting apparatus, integrated address recognition apparatus and address recognition method
An address recognition apparatus has an address recognition section, and a non-addressee determination section. The address recognition section acquires, based on an image of an object, address information described on the object. The non-addressee determination section determines, based on a comparison result of information relating to first address information that is the address information acquired in the address recognition section at a desired timing, and information relating to second address information that is the address information acquired in the address recognition section before the first address information, whether or not the first address information is a non-destination address that is not an address of an addressee.
