METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETECT PEOPLE
Example apparatus disclosed herein includes a grouper to generate a first presence indication based on a threshold number of segments of image data including patterns of light values corresponding to a first human pulse. Disclosed example apparatus also include a face identifier to identify a first location associated with a human face in an environment associated with the image data based on thermal imaging data from a thermal imaging device, and output the first location associated with the human face in the environment associated with the image data.
Object collation device
An object management system includes an identifier generation device and an object collation device. The identifier generation device includes a generation unit that forms an ink layer on a target object, an imaging unit that images an uneven pattern on a surface of the ink layer, and a registration unit that registers the imaged result in a storage unit. The object collation device includes an imaging unit that images the uneven pattern on the surface of the ink layer formed on the target object, and a recognizing unit that recognizes the target object based on an image of the uneven pattern obtained by imaging.
Electronic device, fingerprint sensing control method and fingerprint scanning control method
An electronic device, a fingerprint sensing control method and a fingerprint scanning control method are provided. A sensing region of a display panel is divided into a plurality of fingerprint zones. The electronic device determines at least one target fingerprint zone from the fingerprint zones according to a touched area. The electronic device scans the at least one target fingerprint zone to control the at least one target fingerprint zone for performing fingerprint sensing. The electronic device performs an accelerated scanning operation. The accelerated scanning operation includes: setting a scanning speed corresponding to at least one target scanning group coupled to at least the touched area to a first speed; and setting a scanning speed corresponding to one or more scanning groups other than the at least one target scanning group to a second speed higher than the first speed.
AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, RECOGNITION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An authentication device includes a deciding unit (118) that, based on distribution information of the feature points included in a pattern present in some part of the body of the user, decides on the position of that part of the body to be used in authentication of the user; a guiding unit (120) that, based on the decided position, guides the concerned part of the body to the decided position for the purpose of authentication of the user; and an authenticating unit (122) that performs authentication of the user based on feature information of the pattern as obtained due to the guiding.
Item integrity verification
Various embodiments include processing devices and methods for integrity verification of a news item. A processor of a network element may obtain an electronic news item that is ready for publication, and may determine a fingerprint using one or more portions of the electronic news item. The processor may determine for the electronic news item a record including the determined fingerprint and a second fingerprint of a previous electronic news item. The processor may store the determined record in a publicly available digital ledger, embed the determined fingerprint in the electronic news item, and publish the electronic news item. A computing device may obtain the published news item and may use the embedded fingerprint in the record that is stored in the digital ledger to verify the integrity of the electronic news item.
System and Method for Multimedia Analytic Processing and Display
The present disclosure includes systems and methods for multimedia image analytic including automated binarization, segmentation, and enhancement using bio-inspired based visual morphology schemes. The present disclosure further includes systems and methods for biometric multimedia content authentication using extracted geometric features and one or more of the binarization, segmentation, and enhancement methods.
FINGERPRINT MATCHING APPARATUS, FINGERPRINT MATCHING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A fingerprint image display means displays an input fingerprint image being a fingerprint image which is input and a registered fingerprint image being a fingerprint image which has been registered. A marker acquisition means acquires a position of an input marker which is input by a user with respect to the input fingerprint image being displayed. A marker applying means applies a correspondence marker at a position corresponding to an input marker in the registered fingerprint image. A matching means matches the input fingerprint image to which the input marker is input with the registered fingerprint image to which the correspondence marker has been applied.
Biometric Public Key System Providing Revocable Credentials
A device generates a biometric public key for an individual based on both the individual's biometric data and a secret S, in a manner that verifiably characterizes both while tending to prevent recovery of either. The biometric data has a Sparse Representation and is encoded in a manner to include a component of noise, such that it is challenging to identify which locations are actually encoded features. Accordingly, the biometric data are encoded as a vector by choosing marker at locations where features are present and, where features are not present, choosing noisy data. The noisy data may be chaff bit values selected collectively from a group of (a) random values and (b) independent and identically distributed values. The biometric public key may be later used to authenticate a subject purporting to be the individual, using a computing facility that need not rely on a hardware root of trust.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM
There is provided an information processing apparatus including a processing unit that performs living body-related processing on the basis of an image of a part of a living body of a user, the image being generated in a state in which the part of the living body is in contact with a contact surface, and contact information acquired in the state in which the past of the living body is in contact with. the contact surface.
Fingerprint sensing method, fingerprint sensor, and display device including the same
A fingerprint sensor includes a substrate, a light blocking layer that is on a first surface of the substrate and includes openings in a light blocking mask, and a sensor layer that is on a second surface of the substrate and includes photo sensors. A fingerprint sensing method of the fingerprint sensor includes: storing a calibration image; generating an original image, based on sensing signals from the photo sensors; performing calibration on the original image by utilizing the calibration image; and detecting a fingerprint, based on the calibrated image. The calibration image is generated by synthetizing valid regions extracted from an original calibration image corresponding to the original image.
