Hologram-based character recognition method and apparatus
A hologram-based character recognition method in which representative characters are respectively matched to fingers and a group of characters including character objects is matched to representative characters, includes: displaying, when a first movement of a predetermined finger is detected, in a space a hologram image in which a predetermined representative character among the representative characters matched to the predetermined finger is arranged at a center and the character objects included in the group matched to the predetermined representative character are arranged around the predetermined representative character. The method further includes: recognizing the predetermined representative character as an input when a second movement of the predetermined finger is detected; and recognizing one of the one or more character objects as an input when the second movement of the predetermined finger is detected after the predetermined finger is dragged or moved to said one of the one or more character objects.
Fingerprint sensing control device and operation method thereof
A fingerprint sensing control device and an operation method thereof are provided. The fingerprint sensing control device includes a touch control circuit and a fingerprint sensing control circuit. The touch control circuit determines a touched region of an object on the touch panel. The fingerprint sensing control circuit performs a fingerprint sensing control on the touch panel and determines a target sensing sub-region overlaid by the touched region from a plurality of sensing sub-regions of the fingerprint sensing region of the touch panel. When the target sensing sub-region comprises a first sensing sub-region and a second sensing sub-region that are adjacent to each other, the fingerprint sensing control circuit starts to scan the first sensing sub-region in a first direction from a common edge between the first sensing sub-region and the second sensing sub-region and starts to scan the second sensing sub-region in a second direction from the common edge.
FINGERPRINT READING DEVICE AND FINGERPRINT READING METHOD
Provided are a fingerprint reading device and a fingerprint reading method that can appropriately read a fingerprint even when reading a fingerprint of a relatively soft finger that may be easily subjected to significant elastic deformation. The fingerprint reading device includes: a placement portion on which a finger is placed, provided with a reading face so as to be able to move between first and second positions; a drive unit that causes the reading face to move between the first and second positions; and a reading unit that reads a fingerprint when the reading face is positioned at the first position, the drive unit causes the reading face to move to the second position and further move from the second position to the first position, and the reading unit reads a fingerprint when the reading face has moved from the second position to the first position.
Guided fingerprint enrollment
Fingerprint enrollment is described. An initial procedure in which the appropriate area of the finger is determined from the size of a user's finger, followed by a guidance procedure where guidance information is provided in a pseudo random manner and further fingerprint data is obtained during the pseudo random guidance. When the appropriate area of the finger has been covered, fingerprint data is used in a calculation of fingerprint enrollment data that can be used in subsequent steps in the enrollment procedure.
APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING AND SORTING
A method and apparatus for sorting is described, and which includes providing a product stream formed of individual objects of interest having feature aspects which can be detected; generating multiple images of each of the respective objects of interest; classifying the feature aspects of the objects of interest; identifying complementary images by analyzing some of the multiplicity of images; fusing the complementary images to form an aggregated region representation of the complementary images; and sorting the respective objects of interest based at least in part upon the aggregated region representation which is formed.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor, and a control unit. The display panel includes a light blocking layer that includes an opening. The input sensor includes a first sensing element, a second sensing element, and a third sensing element. The control unit calculates a first distance between the first sensing element and the second sensing element when the display panel is in a first state and the second sensing element overlaps the opening, calculates a second distance between the first sensing element and a third sensing element when the display device is in a second state that differs from that of the first state and the third sensing element overlaps the opening, and corrects an image obtained from the input sensor on the basis of the first distance and the second distance.
FINGERPRINT TEMPLATE INPUT METHOD, DEVICE AND MEDIUM
A fingerprint template input method, device, and medium are provided. The fingerprint template input method includes: an i.sup.th fingerprint image captured by a fingerprint identification sensor are acquired, i being a positive integer; a candidate fingerprint template is obtained according to all of the acquired i fingerprint images; it is detected whether the candidate fingerprint template meets a preset condition; and if the candidate fingerprint template meets the preset condition, the candidate fingerprint template is input as a fingerprint template of the user's fingerprint.
FINGERPRINT BASED SMART PHONE USER VERIFICATION
A touchscreen, now incorporated in most smartphones, tablets, laptops, and similar devices, presents an effective and transparent method to incorporate continuous active user verification schemes. The touchscreen element grid structure can be used to capture information, such as a set of one-dimensional time-varying signals produced as the user's finger moves past the grid intersections points. This information may be used to verify the user, or that a valid user currently has possession of the mobile device, even while the user is not consciously engaged in an active verification process. Further functions, such as habitual gesture recognition, can also be performed using the same grid outputs.
OPTICAL FINGERPRINT SENSOR UNDER A DISPLAY
An optical sensor system includes: an input surface providing a sensing region for a biometric object; a plurality of display elements, disposed beneath the input surface, configured to emit light to provide a display; an aperture layer, disposed beneath the plurality of display elements; a collimator layer, disposed beneath the aperture layer; and a plurality of light sensing elements, disposed beneath the collimator layer, wherein the plurality of light sensing elements are configured to detect light from the sensing region that has passed through the aperture layer and the collimator layer.
Method and apparatus for fingerprint image reconstruction
An apparatus and method for obtaining a biometric image is disclosed, which may comprise: providing a biometric image sensor which may comprise one of a one dimensional swiped sensor array, a two dimensional swiped sensor array and a two dimensional placement sensor array, each of which may comprise a capacitive gap sensor measuring a change in a transmitted signal received as a received signal, based upon changes in the transmitted signal passing through a biometric, the biometric image sensor may be one of mounted on a host device or cooperating with the host device; providing a biometric placement positioning prompt on a display on the host device, which prompt may indicate whether a current positioning of the biometric is proper for initiating biometric imaging by the biometric image sensor, e.g., indicating a current positioning of the biometric and the desired positioning of the biometric.
