METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION
A fingerprint authentication method includes a first step of acquiring partial fingerprint measurement data for a part of a fingerprint, and a second step of calculating a matching rate by comparing the partial fingerprint measurement data with reference comparison data selected among a plurality of partial fingerprint registration data, each partial fingerprint registration data corresponding to a part of a fingerprint. The method further includes a third step of determining whether the matching rate is equal to or greater than an authentication threshold and a fourth step of determining, based on a result in the third step, a success of the authentication, or repeating the second and third steps by selecting new reference comparison data based on whether or not the matching rate is equal to or greater than a preset threshold smaller than the authentication threshold.

An electronic apparatus includes an authenticator configured to identify registered finger information that coincides with detected finger information by matching the detected finger information with the plurality of registered finger information in a predetermined order, an executor configured to execute a function corresponding to the registered finger information identified by the authenticator, a user identifier configured to identify the actual user among the plurality of registered users by acquiring user identification information representing the actual user or by performing a determination process configured to determine the actual user, and a controller configured to change the predetermined order according to the actual user identified by the user identifier.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus and method are provided for controlling an operation of an electronic device by using a fingerprint image in the electronic device. The electronic device includes a display and a processor configured to detect a fingerprint image corresponding to a user input; determine an input direction of the user input based on the fingerprint image; determine a motion direction of the user input based on the input direction of the user input in response to a motion of the user input; and execute a first function corresponding to the motion direction of the user input.
System and method for detecting potential matches between a candidate biometric and a dataset of biometrics
A system and method for detecting a potential match between a candidate facial image and a dataset of facial images is described. Some implementations of the invention determine whether a candidate facial image (or multiple facial images) of a person taken, for example, at point of entry corresponds to one or more facial images stored in a dataset of persons of interest (e.g., suspects, criminals, terrorists, employees, VIPs, “whales,” etc.). Some implementations of the invention detect potential fraud in a dataset of facial images. In a first form of potential fraud, a same facial image is associated with multiple identities. In a second form of potential fraud, different facial images are associated with a single identity, as in the case, for example, of identity theft. According to various implementations of the invention, spectral clustering techniques are used to determine a likelihood that pairs of facial images (or pairs of facial image sets) correspond to the person or different persons.
Fingerprint matching method and apparatus, electronic equipment and readable storage medium
The present disclosure provides a fingerprint matching method and apparatus, an electronic equipment and a readable storage medium. The method includes: extracting a plurality of to-be-matched feature points from the to-be-identified fingerprint image; performing a first matching between the plurality of to-be-matched feature points and a plurality of template feature points in the template fingerprint image, wherein the first matching includes: identifying true feature points in the plurality of to-be-matched feature points, and determining feature point pairs each of which includes a true feature point and a template feature point corresponding to the true feature point in the template fingerprint image as a first matching result; removing at least one falsely matched feature point pair from the first matching result; and performing a second matching between the to-be-identified fingerprint image and the template fingerprint image based on remaining feature point pairs in the first matching result.
VERIFICATION SYSTEM
A device includes memory and a processor. The device receives biometric information. The device receives location information. The device analyzes the received biometric information with stored biometric information. The device analyzes the received location information with stored location information. The device determines whether the received biometric information matches the stored biometric information. The device determines whether the received location information matches the stored location information. The device sends an electronic communication that indicates whether the received biometric information matches the stored biometric information and whether the received local information matches the stored location information.
Enrollment Using Synthetic Fingerprint Image and Fingerprint Sensing Systems
A fingerprint sensing system. The fingerprint sensing system includes: at least one sensor; at least one display device; at least one application processor; and at least one secure enclave processor. The application processor(s) receives fingerprint data from the sensor(s) and provides the fingerprint data to the secure enclave processor(s). The secure enclave processor(s) decodes the fingerprint data and provides a signal indicative of at least one matched node. The application processor(s), responsive to receipt of the signal indicative of the matched node(s), presents at least a portion of a synthetic fingerprint image via at least one display device corresponding to the matched node(s).
OPERATION METHOD WITH FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION, APPARATUS, AND MOBILE TERMINAL
An operation method with fingerprint event recognition, an apparatus, and a mobile terminal relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes receiving a fingerprint event from a user at a preset position on a mobile terminal, and displaying on a display screen of the mobile terminal at least one shortcut when the fingerprint matches a stored fingerprint event. A sliding gesture input from the user is detected, the sliding gesture starting at the preset position and extending from the preset position to select a first shortcut from the at least one shortcut, thereby improving operation efficiency.
INTELLIGENT GALLERY MANAGEMENT FOR BIOMETRICS
A system provides intelligent gallery management for biometrics. A first gallery is obtained that includes biometric and/or other information on a population of people. An application is identified. A subset of the population of people is identified based on the application. A second gallery is derived from the first gallery by pulling the information for the subset of the population of people without pulling the information for the population of people not in the subset. Biometric identification (such as facial recognition) for the application may then be performed using the second gallery rather than the first gallery. In this way, the system is improved as less time is required for biometric identification, fewer device resources are used, and so on.

A fingerprint module includes: a lens, a crystal, and an optical fingerprint chip, where the crystal is an anisotropic medium, the lens is located on one side of the crystal, the optical fingerprint chip is located on the other side of the crystal, and the optical fingerprint chip is fixed in a substrate of an electronic device. Incident light including fingerprint information is incident to the crystal through the lens and is incident to the optical fingerprint chip after being refracted by the crystal; and the optical fingerprint chip is used for generating a fingerprint image, and the fingerprint image is used for fingerprint recognition.
